This is my SECOND S650-XT with the same issue. When I am listening to audio or using an app and an incoming phone call comes through, the headset can completely shut itself off. There is no “Power Off” announcement—it just dies. After that, the power button will not turn it back on. I have to plug the headset into a charger before it will turn on again, even when the battery still has plenty of charge. I have updated to firmware 1.21, factory-reset the headset, forgotten and re-paired it with my iPhone, and the problem still happens. After researching this, I found other S650-XT owners describing the SAME shutdown problem, including having to connect the charger before the headset will turn back on. For a premium headset designed for professional drivers and phone calls, this should not be happening. BlueParrott needs to investigate and fix this issue. ### 2/5 — Next to useless *2026-08-15, version 4.5.2* While I was able to update firmware I cannot get the volume slider to work at all. Purchased 1 used ABs got so frustrated with it I just trashed it thinking maybe the seller got 1 over on me. I went and bought 1 brand new and this 1 is arguably worse. Also will drop calls when random words or phrases are spoken. I’ve called back and repeated the exact phrase again and call would drop again instantly. No rhyme or reason for this. Also walking to the back of my pickup is out of range at times. I was really patient in the beginning but this is ridiculous. I would still like to see an easier updating process moving forward. Thankfully, the developer did contact me in order to resolve the issue. Original post: This app is about as worthless as the iPhone variant! Trying to update my Blue Parrott S650xt stays stuck at 4% no matter what I do, just like it does on the iPhone. We pay hundreds of dollars for these headsets, the least they can do is make an app that does what it’s supposed to do and updates the headset with little to no fuss! C’mon Blue Parrott.
