However it's really janky. I tried looking up a song to queue in my playlist and it deleted every other song in that playlist with no way to recover it. Just gone. Worked on it for days and days and days and days and it's gone because I made the mistake of not wanting to scroll forever to find it and assumed the search feature would be on my side. So, overall, use it to look up really specific videos/songs you want to play because anything else and it'll fall apart and disrespect you. Don't trust it with playlists or anything that matters to you **Developer response:** Hi, pleasefixitfixit Can you give details what happened? You just deleted a playlist by accident? When deleting a playlist, there is a confirmation window. Only when confirmed, the playlist will be removed. If this is what happened, there is no way to get the playlist back. If you just delete one song in a playlist, other songs will not be affected. Please let us know if this is the case. FIX IT i think a BASIC right is being able to delete one (1) exactly ONE song in a playlist and replace it with the intended version, WITHOUT deleting ALL 399 OTHER SONGS. A BASIC GODDAMN RIGHT. Only concern I have is the significant battery and data storage; I also dont like that it contacts domains like Kochava which are currently being sued for selling sensitive data and Appier which is a taiwanese AI company that became a billion dollar unicorn for data exploitation (a sad but new reality). There’s still less ads than the YouTube app, and I still want to support this app in hopes the feature will be brought back - so I choose to use BluePlayer over YouTube. However I wish it was still ad free. I don’t mind y’all’s little banner at the bottom, that’s not bothering me at all. With that said, I only use the app in video mode, so I cannot speak to using the app as a music player. As others have stated, the app isn't very pretty to look at between the strange app icon and the clunky, unresponsive UI. However, what it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for in function. It essentially blends the functionality of a video player like YT with the functionality of a music player like Spotify. With that said, this app lacks serious polish and is riddled with bugs. My biggest complaints are: 1) The "tips" that appear each time the app is opened are incredibly intrusive. Instead of going straight to view the video queue when opening BluePlayer, the user first has to click past a random "tip" on how to use the app. 2) There's currently a bug in where importing a YT playlist via link causes the videos from the previously imported YT playlist to be added to the newly imported YT playlist. 3) When viewing a YT channel in BluePlayer, only the most recent videos and playlists from that channel are shown. They're still able to be found via the search tab. 4) When using an iPhone, while a video is playing in the background or while the phone is locked, the "now playing" feature on the control center and lock screen rarely displays what video is playing, and rarely allows the user to scrub through a video or skip ahead. ### 5/5 — 🥹🥹🥹 *2025-12-02, version 1.4.61* Thank you, thank you!!!☺️☺️☺️🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡 I will be forcing all my friends to use this app, this is a masterpiece.🥹🥹🥹 ### 5/5 — 5/5, With A Learning Curve. *2025-11-22, version 1.4.59* BluePlayer is absolutely wonderful, works perfectly, and has features that Spotify and not even Musi has. I enjoy this app, but I’d like to see it take songs from an album which you can already select, and auto play them in the order of the album. From time to time I have to use Siri “Play all music (playlist name) on the BluePlayer app”. Also it can only play songs saved to favorites that way. Would be nice to make an integration with Shortcuts if difficult to fix the CarPlay bug at the moment. That same track plays every time I turn my phone screen off too.
