## What is Bluepoint Getaria?

La asociación sin ánimo de lucro Itsasplanet de Getaria, con la colaboración de diversas entidades públicas y privadas, ha puesto en marcha el proyecto BLUE POINT para contribuir a limpiar los mares y crear empleo asociado al nuevo sector emergente de la pesca y reutilización del plástico marino.

Se trata de contribuir a implicar a la sociedad civil (ciudadanía, empresas e instituciones) en la búsqueda y aplicación de soluciones al grave problema de la contaminación marina y fluvial, que afecta no sólo a la biodiversidad sino también a nuestra salud y a los recursos que los océanos pueden ofrecer para nuestra propia  supervivencia como última reserva de la Humanidad.
