I found it via a Jazz FM competition. I went to the southern States a few years ago and wished I'd had this app. then. I shall go back to Mississippi as soon as I can but in the meantime I shall enjoy the wealth of information and media on the app. which I think is very well put together. Well done to all concerned. The timeline feature is absolutely brilliant and the other features are helpful and useful and well executed, something that can't be said of many apps now. Suggestions for futre versions might be to have way to mark off visited markers. Also, the text when reading about the markers is a bit small for me and there isn't a good way to zoom in. Every time I try to work with the”Itinerary” feature, the app just automatically closes. However I've used the itinerary function to add places I'll be visiting to the app. There is a function to then work out the route. Whenever I attempt to use this the app crashes. Please fix this as it let's down what seems to be a nice app. ### 3/5 — Itinerary mapping could use some help. *2025-11-09* The mapping of the itinerary has one big limitation: you can't pick a start point - it requires you to use location services and picks the start point as the place you're currently located. Now, I'm currently 1,000 miles away from the Blues Trail and would like to evaluate routes to different markers ahead of time. Can't do it, as my current location is so far away. The itinerary mapping is only good when you're ready to go. No preplanning allowed. ### 4/5 — Pretty Good *2015-12-20* A welcome addition to any blues enthusiast collection. As a musician, I fully appreciate the efforts put into this little app. It's chock full of blues history. And there's a lot in here I didn't know. I don't think anyone will be disappointed considering it's free! I give it 4 stars because it could probably use a few minor tweaks in terms of functionality (zooming in on photos would be nice) but overall a nice effort here. As for some of the 'crash issues' others mentioned here, I've had none yet. ### 4/5 — A Must Have if You Are a Blues Fan *2014-06-11* My son Dylan and I recently drove down Highway 61 from the Canadian border to New Orleans. We went to the Bob Dylan days festival in Duluth and Hibbing, MN then headed on down the road. This app made it so easy to find all the crucial blues spots. We met with Po Monkey outside his Juke Joint, visited Robert Johnson's gravestone, saw the Crossroads, and a few museums, all because of this app. Our only suggestions would be to have the color of the markers change on the map once you have checked in, so that you can visualize where to head to next, and to connect to google maps for directions. ### 5/5 — For any Blues fan, this is a 5 Star app *2022-07-16* This app is very intuitive and informative for anybody that loves Blues music. The itinerary feature works great. All you do is click on the Blues markers you want to see, click on the “Add to Itinerary” feature. When through, click the “Itinerary” feature. From there you can click the “Best Route” feature, and you trip is set. Aside from that, the wealth of information this app offers, gives any Blues fan a deeper understanding of the music. ### 5/5 — Terrific App! *2017-04-12* Love it. The documentary blues videos are wonderful too. The features are outstanding. Potted histories of blues men and the landmarks that were a part of the music's history, videos to watch and a seamless link with iTunes to download the music. If that wasn't enough the App will also make you an itinerary to visit the locations of your choice. Utterly brilliant.
