X & Meta, gone. *2026-08-17, version 1.130.0* Bluesky has fair moderation, it keeps the public informed in a safe way, it is where 98% of “Gay Twitter” refugees relocated, so for me that’s was a huge plus as most if not ALL of my friends are here or (soon) will be here on the app with us. It’s a great app — new functions and features are being added ALL the time, and now this app has surpassed Twitter in terms of quality of content and ease of use. Also, data is available for you to erase or download as you need, and they keep the MAGA crowd from doing what they do on every other platform out there — destroy it with hate. It’s the only app of this kind that I’ll use actively because of this. The app and the social experience is constantly being improved. And the improvements are making it a truly social experience that the users have a great deal of control over. This allows for human to human interactions that, for the most part, are healthy and constructive. (tip- Avoid the discover tab you start with, get a different one than the very basic one you start with, its not too great. Theres a user made one which is much better and goes off of what you like.) Plus you can also customize your feeds much more than twitter, you can have specific feeds you can go to quickly, for specific things you want, you can limit things more, you can get quickly started through lists, you can get the latest news if you want. This is the best twitter rival app out there by far. If you download this app/platform, make sure to take a look around at all the settings and customize it for your own needs and wants. We have enjoyed the experience and are grateful for the team staying on top of bogus accounts. Too bad they can’t track IP addresses. The biggest issue is we all miss our edit button feature that was available on Post.
