Instead of having an entire day where my heart rate is higher than if I had suddenly been forced into an Olympic 10K run with no warmup and a tiger or two chasing me, instead of desperately turning my backpack inside out in search of my apple pencil and missing every commitment in my calendar, I can now simply open this app. I trade stress levels that probably take years off my life for a few minutes of looking like a clown while I nudge nooks and crannies with my iPad to connect the bluetooth. The aesthetic and clean display is especially calming in relation to the internal chaos that I am usually in when I have to use the app, but more calming still is the fact that my Apple Pencil usually appears quickly if an object that touches even an uncle that’s not really an uncle of a pencil-adjacent air molecule is nudged. After that , the app gives me a fun little game of “warmer , colder” (but in a really professional and minimalist arc format) that makes me feel safe and cared for as well as instantly curing my hypertension . This app is everything that most of us will never find in a life partner: caring , consistent , beautiful , and not only accepts your quirks but anticipates and helps you through them . I was distraught for almost a month because it was a new Apple Pencil and it was essential for my University studies and if I didn’t find it I would have buy a new one. This app turned a 3 week search into a 3 minute search because I found my Apple Pencil in a very deep crevice of my couch which I didn’t even know existed 😭. I knew it had been charged because it had been showing on my iPad earlier. However, I had connected my Mustang Micro while practicing my bass guitar so it wasn’t showing on either my iPad or the app. The app said to nudge items which means going around moving furniture and stuff to wake up the pencil. It woke up when I nudged the settee and I was able to pinpoint its location using the meter. But could I find it, I squeezed my hand in and out of the settee to no avail. I finally turned the settee over and found a zip underneath which I unzipped and there it was, inside the settee! £5 well spent. It does not work for this. I later found it by another method, but even when I place the pencil next to my iPad, the app cannot “see” it. It is connected by Bluetooth but the app gets no signal. A recommendation online suggested trying a Bluetooth Finder. This one was rated well, but although it listed my Pencil Pro on the devices screen, when I clicked on it, the app said it was disconnected. I could see on the iOS Settings screen that it was connected. I noticed that the last update mentioned on the App Store was 4 years ago, so maybe this worked well once, but hasn’t been maintained. I downloaded another app that was highly rated and it works perfectly. I was trying to help my husband find his Apple pencil using this app. Nothing showed up. To test it, I set out my own pencil and it didn’t even recognize it was nearby which leads be to believe it won’t find any pencil. I would like a refund of what I paid for the app of 4.99. They promote that the app will help find an Apple pencil. I tried to contact them through email and Facebook as their website suggested. The email bounced back and said it didn’t exist and when I clicked their Facebook link, the profile was not found. I like that it works for all Bluetooth products but to no fault of theirs I don’t like that the item needs to be turned on in order for you to find it.. but that makes sense, it’s looking for the signal so thats only natural.
