## What is Blundspace?

Is your bed in the right place? Most people don't know. The bed went where it fit on moving day, and it has been there ever since. Blundspace shows you in one minute whether that was a good choice and where in the room your bed would stand better.

The answer doesn't come from gut feeling. It comes from published research on light, noise, drafts, warmth, and how a room feels. Blundspace works it out for your actual room, with its actual windows, doors, and walls.

HOW IT WORKS
Point the camera at the corners of your room and tap them. Mark the door and windows, then answer four short questions: floor, street side, heating, compass direction. That's it. No tape measure, no floor plan, no manual. On iPhones with LiDAR, Blundspace captures the room automatically, closets included. If something is off, drag walls, door, and windows into place with your finger.

WHAT YOU SEE
Free: whether your bed stands well or whether there is a better spot in the room. Measure as often as you like. The example room shows you, without restriction, what a full evaluation looks like.

With Blundspace Pro, a one-time purchase:
• Your score, for today's position and for every other position in the room
• The best position on every solid wall, drawn right onto the floor plan
• A heatmap of the whole room
• Every reason, one by one, with its weight and its source
• A tip on where the closet could go if it blocks the best spot
• Notes on light, noise, heating, and radon on ground floors and in basements
• Save rooms, as many as you like

WHAT BLUNDSPACE LOOKS AT
Door, windows, radiator, exterior wall, street side, streetlights, morning light, drafts, noise, access to the bed, wiring at the head end, and radon on the lower floors. None of these decides on its own. Together they form a picture, and that picture looks different in every room. That's why the result surprises people so often. An advice column can list the rules. Only Blundspace can work out what they mean for your room.

HONEST DOWN TO THE DETAIL
Every rule carries a label: established, plausible, or tradition. You see at a glance how well a recommendation is supported, and you can open the sources. Compass directions from feng shui and vastu are shown for information; they don't enter the score. Blundspace doesn't rate water veins or earth rays, because there is no evidence for them. You get reasons, not myths. And you decide what matters to you.

WHEN BLUNDSPACE HELPS
• On moving day, before the bed goes up for the first time
• When you want to rearrange the bedroom without pushing the bed around three times
• In the kids' room, the guest room, your parents' new apartment
• When the two of you disagree about where the bed belongs
• When you have always wondered whether a bed under the window is really a good idea

PRIVATE
Your rooms stay on your iPhone. Blundspace collects no data, shows no ads, and needs no account. Made in Berlin.

You spend a third of your life in bed. It's worth checking, once and calmly, whether it stands in the right place.

Blundspace offers layout advice based on published research. It does not replace medical advice for sleep disorders.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-14

• The example room now shows which points Blundspace checks for your room, and what Blundspace Pro unlocks for them.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-13

• The example room now shows everything Blundspace Pro does: best positions, heatmap and every reason.
• For your own room, see for free whether your bed stands well or a better spot is possible. Score, reasons and the best position come with Blundspace Pro.
• One button to measure: on iPhones with LiDAR, Blundspace now scans automatically and for free; measuring by hand is still there.
• Feet and inches, and US bed sizes from Twin to King, when your iPhone uses US units.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-02

• Drag the bed and the wardrobe along the walls with your finger.
• If camera access is switched off, the app explains how to turn it back on in Settings.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-29

• Small improvements.
