### 3/5 — Better explanation

*2026-04-04, version 9.15.1*

I’m a graduating hvac technician, epa certified and I came across this app…. For the life of me it doesn’t clearly explain how to become a member for unlimited access to the features

### 2/5 — Limited Lennox manuals

*2025-10-30, version 9.12.2*

The database is missing the manuals for the entire lineup of the “Lennox 13GEP” model range.

### 3/5 — Not What It Used To Be

*2025-05-14*

I remember when this app first came out. I was able to look stuff up all day after proving I worked for a legit company which was just a 1 minute phone call with someone from Bluon. Got my little hat in the mail lol. After some time I tried using the app again and found that I am now being forced to pay through the company. Ditched this app pretty quick. I think the greed came into play once they started doing all this 24/7 live chat/tech support which I couldn’t care less for because I’m calling the manufacturer directly not Bluon lol. Maybe it’s time for Bluon to have some competition. This company has corporate greed written all over it.

### 1/5 — HVAC

*2025-03-27, version 9.9.0*

These guys used to be good. Now they only let you search up one model number a month. Then they want you to subscribe. Money hungry business. I just go on google now. Thanks a lot

### 1/5 — Use to be helpful

*2025-02-24, version 9.8.0*

It used to be a helpful app until it gave you only 3 model lookups and even Al assistance if needed. Now it's only 1 free a month of each. Now they don’t even offer any live tech support. It would’ve been great if they offered a technician plan I would have gladly purchased a plan. The app really isn’t worth having now.

### 1/5 — Bad Business Model

*2025-02-20, version 9.8.0*

It used to be a good resource for me when trying to find manuals. Then that became obsolete and only way you could get it was through my company. They at least still had 3 model lookups and even AI assistance if needed. Now it's 1 free a month of each. I tried reaching out to them to see if they had a technician plan and would even have them verify that. Would even pay for it as long as it's not overpriced. No response. Sad companies become selfish and only care about profits and not helping the industry. Sorry but your business plan is backwards.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2025-02-06, version 9.7.0*

This app was my favorite but now it’s a complete joke. They want you to pay or refer your company.

### 1/5 — This Used to be a good app.

*2025-01-28, version 9.7.0*

This app used to be great, but now they’ve locked everything behind a paywall that individuals can’t access without a business account. They heavily push their supply house function for ordering parts and no longer provide full part numbers most of the time. On top of that, they limit model number lookups to just three per month, which is the main reason most people use the app, making it practically pointless now.

### 3/5 — Limited functionality….

*2024-12-23*

Honestly this is a great concept however for the average technician ( such as myself) this app becomes useless after the 3 free lookups. They basically force you to make the company you work for, sign up for bluon and if you aren’t able to do so (like me) then you’re kind of just screwed. I work at a small mom and pops place and it would be great if there was an option to purchase a subscription for unlimited lookups, etc. I would up my review rating but given that this app becomes a waste of space after the first 3 lookups.

### 1/5 — Removed forums

*2024-10-04, version 9.5.0*

The forums were the best part of the app since of lately and since it’s gone ✌🏽

### 1/5 — Use to be good

*2024-10-02, version 9.5.0*

Got rid of the forum where knowledgeable information was shared

### 1/5 — Was good

*2024-09-30, version 9.5.0*

Used to spend some spare time helping and learning from others on the forum. Gone now. Make sure you sort the ratings by “most recent” to see what’s really going on.

### 2/5 — Used to be better

*2024-09-19, version 9.5.0*

I’ve been using this app for a couple years. The forum was my favorite part and now it’s gone. Tools and calcs section is still helpful though.

### 1/5 — Bad business

*2024-07-16, version 9.3.0*

They just basically used technicians knowledge that was gifted to them, they waited until they had enough users and just started charging to look at manuals.

### 1/5 — Pay now?

*2024-07-10, version 9.3.0*

Can’t believe you have to pay to know who supply has it? It’s literally the only thing it was good for and barely. Not using it anymore

### 1/5 — Bait and switch. Sell outs

*2024-06-10, version 9.2.0*

Bluon started out and raved about how it was a free service by techs for techs. Flash forward to a year or two ago and its full of ads (Annoying but also understandable). Flash forward to now and its no longer free to use more than 3 times a month. If your like most techs and rarely need it for diagrams just use google and delete the app

### 1/5 — Start up video

*2024-04-24, version 9.0.0*

Wow I used to use this app to look stuff up. Now some useless video pops up with volume and I can’t get away from it. Deleting the app. Save the headache look into other options like the Copeland app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — NO AI

*2026-04-23, version 9.15.1*

App used to be really good could talk to fellow techs and get ideas and relate to others going through the same hardships as you now its just lifeless and AI everything no longer useful

### 1/5 — Pay wall

*2026-03-20, version 9.14.1*

When I downloaded it. It was free. Now they want money. Some supply houses will not use them so no need for them.

### 1/5 — No go for me - too expensive

*2026-03-14, version 9.14.1*

Ridiculously expensive $99/mo per tech. With 30 years of real world experience, this app brings very little value to me at that price point

### 1/5 — Used to be good

*2025-10-29, version 9.12.1*

Have to subscribe to make it even worth using. Would rather just google model numbers

### 1/5 — Just let Techs pay you

*2025-10-10, version 9.12.1*

I find it ridiculous that you don’t offer the option for a Technician to just pay to use your app’s services without getting their company involved, I mean did someone in ur company get dropped as a baby? that’s money that you’re not making right there.

### 1/5 — Trying to get👎🏻

*2025-07-30, version 9.11.0*

Keeps giving me a network error cannot sign in

### 1/5 — Whack

*2025-07-15, version 9.11.0*

Says free parts look up. Hahaha. What a joke. Can’t even see what parts are comparable.

### 1/5 — Used to be Great

*2025-06-13, version 9.10.0*

I can only look up 1 model number a month now, it’s ridiculous it used to be great. It sucked when it was only 3 look ups a month but now only 1, app is pretty much a waste of space. Honestly if there was a way a solo tech could buy a pass without having to get the company he works for involved that would be great. I would buy it if it wasn’t to over priced, Bluon is a great example of a good thing that was ruined over money.

### 1/5 — HVAC

*2025-04-22, version 9.9.0*

These guys used to be good. Now they only let you search up one model number a month. Then they want you to subscribe. Money hungry business. I just go on google now. Thanks for nothing

### 1/5 — Bait and Switch

*2025-03-29, version 9.9.0*

Do not support these liars. These guys promised the world to us HVAC techs and told us all kinds of lies about how “free” these features would be for us. Instead of keeping the manuals free, they decided against using their brains to discover another revenue stream and just paywalled everything. Thanks for the hats I guess. Liars.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Bloun Restores True Live Support

*2026-08-04, version 9.16.2*

Hail to Bloun for restoring true live tech support unto us! Though their cunning AI doth serve right well, it sometimes leadeth one down winding rabbit holes of confusion. Yet nothing doth compare to the living voice and seasoned wisdom of a real technician — that irreplaceable experience no machine can ever fully grant. Five bright stars do I bestow with glad heart!

### 5/5 — Best HVAC app!

*2026-07-08, version 9.16.1*

Hands down best app ever for all residential and commercial HVAC systems. Anytime I bump into an issue on the field that’s throwing me for a loop, or I am not sure about warranty, this is my go-to application for all my professional needs.

### 5/5 — Wry good app a lot of information

*2025-05-30, version 9.10.0*

All types of diagnostic, and electrical diagrams nice

### 5/5 — Advertising

*2022-12-02, version 6.4.1*

Can’t search any parts without the YouTube advertising video popping up and the video doesn’t close, so unable to use the app.

EDIT: Developers fixed the issue within a day. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Best service out there!

*2022-11-10*

I’m a residential HVAC tech. Been doing this for about 10 years. HVAC is MY LIFE! These Poor homeowners had a contractor install 4 systems in their brand new home. It has been a nightmare from the get. We’ve been getting everything back in track as their original contractor abandoned them. Today we were dealing with this low voltage issue and could not figure out what was going on. We called and they answered under 2 minutes!!! Walked us through it with a great attitude and a sense of humor I appreciate. After the bad news finding out we had to run new wire we were followed by another call by Aaron. They offered to deliver us food! I was shook! Definitely wowed us. Food got delivered, I’m eating it now with the other tech after 12 hours of work. I will never forget this gesture. Thanks again Dan and Aaron, and thank you BLUON!

### 5/5 — Nothing Comes Close to Bluon!

*2022-11-01, version 6.4.0*

First off Bluon is simply awesome! Best database in the industry with the best team in the industry. Second, all other apps are specific to a brand or a distributor, where Bluon covers EVERYTHING! What more could you ask for?

### 5/5 — Awesome Tech Support!

*2022-10-28, version 6.4.0*

They always answer the phone quickly and give incredible help. Everyone I’ve talked has be very pleasant and walks me through things I might not understand! Thanks!

ED IS THE MAN!!! Helped me a ton with some airflow problems I was having on a system.

WHOLE TEAM AT BLUON ROCKS OUT HARD!

### 5/5 — Owner

*2022-09-24, version 6.2.3*

Can’t say enough good about the courteous phone experience. In this business to many times you either can’t get anyone on the phone or if you do it’s with a (why are you bothering me) attitude. Kudos to the Bluon team .!

### 5/5 — Super handy

*2022-09-12, version 6.2.1*

To have manuals, parts and wiring diagrams at a few taps of a button just makes my job so much easier 👍👍👍
