From the characters to the battles to all the missions but the only issue is that sometimes the app would work and sometimes it would not. At first I thought it was my internet connection. But all of my other apps work just fine and I checked my internet router multiple times and it works. I just don’t know why it only happens to this app but other than that I would still play this game. It’s just inconvenient when days I want to log in to play but it won’t connect no matter how many times I refresh it . ### 4/5 — I actually enjoy it~ *2020-05-17, version 2.5.7.2* I’ve been down in the dumps as of late, and i was scrolling through the app store a couple days ago, when i came across this app. At first, i was skeptical I didn’t have any doubt in my mind that the game was going to be just like the other ones i’ve played. I desperately needed a pick-me-up though, so I downloaded it to give it a shot. To my surprise, this game proved all my suspicions wrong. Of course we have our amnesiac main protagonist, but he seems much more clueless than other mcs like him and that amuses me (bland mcs are the worst). And of course, we have our female protagonist, who in most other games is almost always a busty chick. In Blustone, however we have a funny and interesting young girl. Having those two as main characters really makes the storyline more bearable than the ones in other games. The way you summon hunters is really weird, but i kinda like it. It’s probably the most weird way of summoning heroes i’ve ever seen. The summons also are pretty cheap, so you can get hunters pretty quickly. Most of the women aren’t too overly busty, and there haven’t been any perverted implications so far, which is really rare in these types of games, so thank you for that, devs. Anyways, this game cheered me up a little bit, so that’s good. Thank you. ### 4/5 — Amazing *2018-08-24, version 1.4.5.0* Storylines, skills, quests, they’re all good, but you’re missing a bigger lineup of characters. If you all dropped like 20 more characters I would gladly drop $1000 just to get a new side of excitement. Oh, and mountain quests (cruise) but everyone likes to call them mountain challenges 🤗! 510 is okayyy, but that’s just a chip into a whole iceberg of expedition. Even if this was a side game it really has a lot of potential to reach platform, but if you take my advice you would make thousands more. Maybe add on something more exciting. Fishing is a plus, but it’s missing characters! I just feel that it is, and the gamers are mainly right because without us this game would have never made it this far! Add more ;^; I work 40 hours in four days and all I do is sit at home and play this after I get back from college. And so far, the game’s been nothing but fun! The art style is lovely, the characters I’ve met so far are entertaining, and the fighting isn’t complicated at all. The music is nice too, as well as the animated bits! Those are a nice touch. It’s a very fun game, and I don’t doubt I’ll get addicted to it here in a few days. Keep up the great work! ### 5/5 — i love this game *2018-08-12, version 1.4.4.0* it’s engaging, entertaining, has reasonable progression, and gets frequent updates and repairs. the team stay on top of things and consistently gives events for users to participate in, however, eventually it does encourage spending money on the app for progression. this is to support it, as it doesn’t offer ads as far as i can tell, but i simply don’t have enough money for instant progression. this is understandable, just a heads up to anyone who gets discouraged by this type of thing. my true issue with the game is that some days my app likes to crash for a complete 12 hours after i receive daily rewards. i try restarting my phone often but it doesn’t seem to do anything. so, this is a great game with a fantastic team and creators that i recommend downloading despite its flaws. ### 5/5 — I recommend *2018-08-02, version 1.4.3.4* This game has very nice music with visuals that appeal to the eye. They always have events that keep the game fun and amusing. It is not a game that you must “pay to play” and it certainly does not pressure you to buy. I love this game and I check in everyday for supplies and other events. The devs are very willing to help you out if you have a complaint, so that also gives good vibes to this game. You don’t have to tho ### 4/5 — Update broken *2018-07-13, version 1.4.2.2* I love the game. But, there is a problem. I go onto the game, and it says “Ready to update!”. So I click the update button, it loads. Blustone says nothing about updating. The button doesn’t even say update! It just says “open”. This is where I’m stuck at now. I have been playing this game for 3 days and this happens. I don’t want to delete the app and restart all my hard work. I’ve worked too hard to get to my point. Is there any way chance you could give me advice? Or maybe help me? ### 4/5 — An anime clicker *2018-07-06, version 1.4.1.0* First one that I’ve seen and I like it! Requires actual attention compared to other games that use Chibi figures and auto action. Useful characters with interesting backstories that are well written and characters that have good veriety. Also the ads are true about the gameplay when in levels, you tap on the screen to attack. And I do love those small clips that are like scenes from an anime that came out recently. Just saying since it does help with the world of the game that it gives us. ### 5/5 — Pretty good game, except *2018-06-05, version 1.3.8.1* Really love the mechanics, story seems to be interesting, and the animation is great. A bit confusing what to do with all of the stuff but I think I’ll figure it out. Overall pretty great and simple but fun! However, I would really appreciate it if you could pick to be a girl in the game. It seems that by not having that as an option it is harder for many people, including myself to enjoy the game as much as others do. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Blustone is officially gone. *2024-05-05* This is a copy-paste response from a user on reddit: We haven’t gotten an update in months, the servers are dead, and the app has been taken off the App Store in some regions. I think it’s now official that Blustone is dead. I loved this game, and I will always be grateful for the time I’ve spent with it. Thousands of hours, 1k+ login streak, hit rank 1 in PvP, beat the story, nearly maxed most of the roster, and fully maxed all my favorites. Blustone has been a blast, but it’s time to say goodbye. I wish it could have gone out better. A proper announcement, a final event, maybe even a treat for the long time fans! But no. We got no news, just dead servers one day and an ‘Indefinite Maintenance’. I wish it would come back. I really do. I want it more than anything else. But as it stands, I don’t think it will. But hey, who knows, maybe it will come back. If it does, let’s try to record as much of this amazing game as we can. Proper screenshots of all the characters and skins, images of all the shop screens, videos of gameplay, the dialogue, ALL OF IT! If we get the chance, let’s give this game one last hoorah! I am going to e-mail VS and see if it’s really gone for good. If it is, I’m going to inquire about buying the rights to my favorite character(s). After all, I want to keep my favorite game around somehow… no matter how small. ### 1/5 — Greedy Devs *2021-09-30, version 2.6.71* As someone who has played for a long time, the recent events are a huge disappointment to me. For people who don’t know, the devs added a new gamemode that would give many players the opportunity to build up their hunters, gain new units, and collect other materials. They left then event open for 5 days before realizing they gave way too many materials, and reverted the game back to how it was before the event. In other words, they were punishing their players for their own mistakes. The biggest insult? The compensation is a LOGIN EVENT. Rather than returning materials, they host a login event with measly rewards that can never replace the materials lost. Congrats for killing your game, right when the 4th anniversary is so close. ### 1/5 — utter disappointment. *2021-09-30, version 2.6.71* i used to enjoy this game back in 2015 or 2016 when i was in middle school, and i recently decided to play it again for the nostalgia. to my surprise, it stayed relatively the same, until the "whac-a-dawdly-pow" event came around. i was earning some good stuff, then the devs set the server back before the event even started. all my characters were lost. all my items were lost. everyone has a problem with this and i can't find a reason not to. the developers really put themselves into deep mud in this situation because-- first of all-- how did they not see how exploitable the fish bait rewards were ?? i would get around 4-6 baits, go fish for a little bit, then go for another round in the event. it was that simple to exploit. how was this overlooked ??? and why did they make all of their players suffer so harshly for that??? it was like they forgot how much rupees the fishing minigame gave to the players. i'm very tempted to delete this app, but if they give a "more-than-decent" compensation, i might stay. what the devs did was cruel. ### 1/5 — Won’t Open - But Also No Longer Fun *2021-09-25, version 2.6.71* It keeps saying I need to update the game, but there is no update. I was honestly thinking about quitting the game anyways because it’s just not fun anymore. There’s no new content, only 3-5 of us are mildly active in our guild, and I’m pretty sure whatever algorithm they use with pulling hunters is broken. One week I did the 10+1 pull four or five times and never got the hunter they were advertising. I also went through all 35 of my 3-4 star scrolls and maybe got two 4 star hunters. The game is also always freezing or stuck loading, even when I’m on wifi. Overall, the game was fun. But it’s not anymore. ### 1/5 — You’re too late; Party’s over *2018-07-11, version 1.4.2.0* It’s no secret that pretty much none of the companies who make free mobile MMOs these days could care less about how good their games are. They’re all-in for as much cash as they can squeeze out of the players, be it by scamming children, whaling, a p2w-meta, etc. Generally the plan is to make the game • unsatisfying on purpose • , because why would you pay money if you can enjoy it for free? For a while, I was thrilled with this game. It seemed like it was designed with more concern for being fun than making money. And maybe it was. It’s perfectly clear that it isn’t this way now. Decisions have been made that even the interns would have recognized as bad game design, guaranteed to upset the players on purpose, hopefully enough to squeeze a few quick bucks out of them before they move on and never look back. Never make the mistake of confusing the word “addictive” with a positive review. Addictive, by definition, means unsatisfying but with a promise of getting better that it never plans to keep. ### 1/5 — Needs Work *2018-04-12, version 1.3.5.0* It’s a good game the only issue is that its plagued with major balancing issues. These issues, although may not be game breaking in any way, cause frustration. This frustration stemming from a lack of balancing in the game and the insistence on the freenium pay to win model. Even if you were to grind it would take several months and luck to get good characters in the game. The game encourages you to purchase packages to advance quicker in the game. It promises that these packages will also give free recruitment items which could be previously attained in older updates of the game. I myself have purchased some in game micro transactions and will say that no they are not worth the value of what [Visual Shower] insists. If it were not for those I would continue playing. It is unfortunate that this game has degraded this much prior to its one year anniversary. Thank you. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2022-01-21, version 2.6.73* First off you have to pay for special event characters that are arguably better then the base version, in that right alone makes this game p2w. The devs or whoever weren’t even thinking when they made the bundles or they’re blatantly trying to scam you. Tell me why I should pay 20-30$ for some 4* marks and some manda when I can buy a few 10+1 draws and actually have a chance of getting a 4*. Don’t even tell me it’s because you have a better chance of getting the character because collecting marks and actually getting a specific character mark on top of being a 4* is incredibly impossible. Took your attention away from a good game and decided to use ur resources elsewhere leaving this game to a bunch of pocket pinchers I’m disappointed greatly. ### 3/5 — Wonderful game, but atrocious for f2p. *2019-12-19, version 2.5.5.0* I enjoyed a small amount of fun on the newest servers before whales and the like migrated. The amount that packs cost on this game simply isn’t justifiable. You can so easily spend upwards of 100 dollars for absolutely nothing. Other gacha games typically at least reward loss over time, but there is little respite here for the unlucky. I played this for some time and spent a lot of money, but I don’t enjoy this game much anymore. The ordinary game takes ages to get anywhere for f2p, punishes spending money, and just generally is frustration on top of frustration when you add on lag, seemingly psychic AI, impossible fight club teams, chat glitches that don’t allow you to talk for days, etc. Edit: Now, on IPhone 8, it no longer opens. ### 3/5 — Selfish. But potentially great. *2018-06-05, version 1.3.8.1* This game was truly and honestly made with no heart. The overall game is amazing but they make it so challenging to the point where they’re luring you into buying something. And every time you get a 3 star character, for one hour a deal will show up for “Immediate advancement” which means you can bring it up to a 4 Star. There’s nothing wrong with this until I realized it says that its discounted even though it’s not. It says it’s normally 9.99 USD and it costs $4.99, thing is that there is no way in the game to do that advancement for $9.99. (If you don’t believe me there is a list of all of the in-app purchases below[just tap the yes below in-app purchases]). So it’s not any lower than a normal price. I honestly love the game and I wish I didn’t have to put it down so much but I need developers to understand what I’m talking about. Thank you. ### 4/5 — Great game, worth it to me. *2021-01-12, version 2.6.2.1* I’m gonna start off with the positives of the game, since Blustone has a lot of them. First off, I love the story, within the first week of me downloading the game, I got hooked onto the story line, definitely worth reading every line and following each character’s part. Secondly, one of the biggest and main part of this game of course, is the fact that you can collect a whole bunch of cool “Metrons” that are like Pokémon but look like humans. This is definitely something that made me download the game in the first place, this game has one of the best ways for collecting these “Metrons”, and that’s what makes it super fun. Third of all, the graphics are beautiful, for a phone game, the graphics and clips on this game is beautiful, definitely has some flaws, but compared to any other game I’ve played on my phone, this one takes a slice of the cake. This game honestly holds a special place in my heart because it’s really the first game I got (of my own volition) on my old phone which is broken now. I love the story and the challenges that the game presents, the art is incredible and the characters are unique. That being said, I REALLY MISS THIS GAME ;-; The game currently says there is a problem with my internet connection, and that it can’t connect to the server,I checked with my other online games and they work though, so I’m wondering what the deal is?!? Pls respond, I love this game and miss it a lot :(( ### 5/5 — What a great games end. *2023-03-02* This game was amazing when it was new and in its mid years of life, the devs did amazing and updated super often. The art is stunning and the music makes me feel nostalgic and is great. Many people would chat, it was easy to make friends in this game. There were many things to do and I love this game for that, so many great characters. However, as with most RPG’s, this one has recently met its end. With its slowly declining playerbase, and the fact you can’t even chat anymore, makes it really sad. Back then you would be able to see tons of players in the lobby, but now your usually alone with an occasional person showing up. I would still recommend this game to anyone though. The game is still a good time killer and the story is actually quite entertaining and the game is still the same, however just don’t expect updates often. Once you have done everything it’s done. I love this game, and it saddens me whenever I open it and hear that great music, knowing I won’t ever be able to enjoy those amazing times again. So I've been playing the game for about 2-3 years now and I haven't had an issue like this before. I figured it was because I got a new phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max from a Samsung Galaxy Note 5) but recently right after the update, I could load the game, but right as it enters the log-in screen, it crashes. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it and it properly operates with the new guest account I made for the purpose of just checking. However, when I tried logging into my personal account, the problem repeated where it loads into the log-in screen but it immediately crashes and I don't know if it's a problem with my game or my account. Thank you. ### 5/5 — Amazing just need compatibility for iOS *2020-12-02, version 2.6.0.5* I had a Samsung and was playing blustone for 2 years, got pretty far into the game while my account was linked into google gmails. But when my Samsung broke and I got an apple iPhone I downloaded blustone and iOS didn’t have google sync for blustone. Now I can’t get into my account while having an IOS. Don’t get me wrong I love the game I just want my account back so I don’t lose all my time with it. So I would really appreciate it if you guys added the google to iOS as well, thank you. The game is pretty rewarding for the story mode and dispatches, and it’s not to hard to advance and upgrade hunters that you come across. Some people hate it when they see a good hunter that they don’t have and dislike fighting against them. But having played this for a while fighting stronger teams is pretty educational for what you could upgrade or change about your team. The only problem I have with the game is how quickly I use up fuel: but other then that I have no problem with this games mechanics at all. The only reason it doesn’t get that 5th star is because nowadays all the new hunters that they release are 4*, essentially meaning that you are likely gonna have to pay money to get them. I have a couple hundred hours on it with no money paid and I have yet to get one singular 4*. I love all the character stories and playing and doing all the extra dungeons. It gets harder and harder and I still have more to do. One thing I do want to complain about is that I some characters in pvp are actually really broken (everyone knows I’m talking about Kain and the ice prison girl), but when you are able to defeat them it is really satisfying. Overall amazing game! Also to all the potential new players, the game isn’t pay to win, and most the time paying doesn’t even help. I spent about 20 to 40 dollars on this game in total in the past year I’ve had it and the summons on characters aren’t really boosted, it’s always been kinda low. I got my first 5 star character triple transcended without the paid summons, I did the events and monthly 3 star character of your choice and finally got my Yuri to triple, so don’t worry about paying, you’ll only have an upper hand for the first little bit of the game by having three stars, after that you just gotta put in work **Developer response:** Thanks for your review!
