Also, it’s frustrating with the connected ride having to upload routes from the iPhone only to have them sync on the navigator. ### 3/5 — Frustrating *2026-08-14, version 5.10.0* I often need to delete and reinstall this app. It regularly fails to start Map mode and sometimes doesn’t show the battery status when charging. Often just drops section of rides. It’s really quite poor. ### 2/5 — Route won’t Cancel *2026-07-29, version 5.10.0* I find that if I’m riding following a chosen route and decide to go elsewhere, I am unable to End the navigating route . Using the wonder wheel - i am able to move onto the correct page and scroll down to End Navigation but then unable to cancel the active navigation, which is so annoying when I turn away from the programmed route and then are constantly asked by app to make a U turn . I have to stop remove my phone from the cradle and manually delete route on the mobile. ### 3/5 — Not bad *2026-07-27, version 5.10.0* Overall the app is OK. One of my pet hates is upgrades that lose your login details. Also hardish to record journeys etc. ### 2/5 — 使えるようにはなっているが *2026-06-21* このアプリの出始めの頃よりはまだマシだが、正直ツーリングの普段使いで利用しようとは思わない。単に用意されていたアプリ連携機能が使えるという自己満足だけのもの。 最悪なのは、以下の3点。 ①走行中にアプリを立ち上げておくと、iPhoneがホッカイロばりに熱くなる。 ②地図のダウンロードができない(めちゃくちゃ遅い)。200GB以上の空き容量があるのに「容量不足」のエラーが出ることがある。 ③バイクとの接続が不安定。インカムやiPhone(ミュージック機能)は、イグニションをONにすると確実につながるが、アプリは繋がったり繋がらなかったりと不安定。 ### 2/5 — Drops out after a call *2026-06-19, version 5.10.0* I ‘ve been using for a couple of years now, however dissatisfied now as every time a make a phone call my navigation drops out and reverts to basic directions mode. Not ideal. Update: Just upgraded to an Apple iPhone 12 and now the system seems even worse. The app goes black and turns off any map connectivity at the start of any phone call. I have all the usual settings recommended, permanently on, auto join on the Wi-Fi, no other interference from other Wi-Fi possible connections etc. When I bought my R1250RT new in 2021 I was excited to have navigation and mobile phone connection all in one place, but it seems a complete waste of money! ### 4/5 — Utilisation avec iPhone *2026-06-12* Testée sur une semaine et 3000 km l’application fonctionne très bien. Dédiez un iPhone pour la moto. Pour ne pas avoir de coupures aller dans les paramètres wifi du tel, allez sur Modifier et pour chaque réseau wifi (sauf celui de la moto) appuyez sur le rond info et cocher oublier ce réseau . Dans les paramètres wifi dans Proposer des réseaux : cochez non Dans Réglages Luminosité et affichage : Verrouillage automatique sur Jamais. Le seul problème dû à l’iPhone est qu’à chaque connexion un message apparaît demandant de rejoindre le réseau wifi de la moto. Il faut valider le choix. Le mode carte est également un peu long à se lancer. Soyez patient . De préférence créez votre itinéraire sur l’appli BM. ### 4/5 — Seit letztem Update Fehler *2026-06-07* Bisher war die App super. Leider gibt es seit dem letzten Update vor 2 Wochen einige Fehler. Die Daten werden nur noch bis zur Hälfte der Strecke erfasst. Anstatt 130 km zeigt die App nur rund 60 davon an- angeblich nur 60 km gefahren, der km stand summt jetzt überhaupt nicht mehr, die Strecke wird als Karte komplett angezeigt aber eben keine Daten, Streckenlänge usw nicht korrekt. Bitte dringend ändern. Ihre Links zum App Support leiten auf die normale bmw Seite also kein Ansprechpartner, somit hier in den Rezessionen 🤷🏼‍♀️ ### 2/5 — What? No satnav again? K1600 Bugbear. *2026-05-31, version 5.8.1* Such a good screen, such an unreliable system. Wifi drops out far too easily and frequently. If only it were better and also simply connected to Google Maps or similar system. ### 1/5 — Not recording rides *2026-05-17, version 5.8.0* As title says, the app doesn’t record rides only once in a blue moon. Been out riding so many times and when I go to my recorded rides the last one is from 25th of April. This issue has been ongoing for a while and it seems BMW doesn’t really care to fix it!. ### 3/5 — Viagem não grava *2026-05-17* Nem sempre grava a viagem. ### 1/5 — Desloga com frequência *2026-04-15* O app em si até que é bom. Falha bastante no marcar o trajeto, com diversos trechos faltando a trajetória percorrida no mapa. Mas o que é mais chato nesse app é que desloga toda hora e precisa relogar, geralmente quando vc está nas piores horas na moto pra relembrar senha, digitar email e ainda ter q arrastar uma figura pra mostrar q nao é robo. Precisa disso tudo? Nao podem facilitar a login por id facil? Custa? Repensem e façam os desenvolvedores utilizarem o aplicativo pra ver as dificuldades. ### 1/5 — Was ok - now useless *2026-04-01, version 5.7.0* I just don’t know why this app is so bad. You used to be able to play back a ride and the cursor would move around the route that you had ridden - not any more. During playback now the map of the ride just ‘twitches’ a bit but there’s no cursor showing the position of the bike at that time (to match what’s going on in the graph). Then there’s the navigation- awful the instructions to turn are not in sync with the bikes actual position. Hopeless ### 3/5 — Inconsistent experience *2026-03-31, version 5.7.0* Periodically logs itself out so you lose the speed limit cues and the ride unless you pull over and reset. Integrate this into your checks before you ride off and you’ll be fine! ### 3/5 — Generally okay *2026-03-24, version 5.7.0* I like many of the features such as journey recording, data awareness and the maps are not bad. However for a touring bike like a K1600GT, Apple CarPlay and android auto not being a feature strikes me as just bizarre!!! I hope BMW Motorrad review this and retrofit as an option for something that should be standard. ### 1/5 — Connectivity *2026-03-17, version 5.7.0* The app is well designed, although the connectivity with iOS is not that straightforward. I don’t like the idea I have to change my screen auto lock on my iPhone setup every time and for a daily commuters isn’t practical. Also very often is loosing the sync between the TFT while you are driving / navigate you end up not seeing the map on your screen. Definitely required improvements. Update, over 3 and half the app still have issues with connectivity!!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-08-09, version 5.10.0* I’d like to say it’s useless but that suggests some part of it is useful ### 1/5 — The worst experience of any app I have ever used. Logs out all the time!!! *2026-08-02, version 5.10.0* Every month the horrible app signs you out forcing you to sign in as you are about to jump on the bike wasting time fumbling with your phone to have the app work!!! And don’t get me started on the fact it only logs trips if it’s running as the main app!!! All this when I purchased a $35k bike!! Never again!! ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2026-07-15, version 5.10.0* This is by far the worst gps navigation tool I’ve used. Location accuracy is awful when used in conjunction with the TFT on my K1600GT, frequently places me on the wrong road and the map spins erratically while it struggles to keep up. This is dangerous when riding on your across unfamiliar territories and isn’t what I expected when I bought into BMW’s connected ride setup. I’ve had these problems since I bought my 2022 K1600GT and I’m tired of the disappointment with the lack of reliability and distracting failures of connectivity. It’s hopeless. Better to stay well clear of this system and either use a mounted gps or other third party software. The app has become unstable and unreliable. Been using it for over 3 years and it used to be superb. No possible way to contact the app developer ### 1/5 — Nav still doesn’t work after nearly 4 years - BMW Motorrad are a joke! *2026-05-26, version 5.8.1* My K1600GA is now nearly 4 years old and the navigation still fails to work. Dealer has had the case open for the entire time I’ve owned the bike and still no fix, what contact have I had from Motorrad - NIL, Marshall Motorrad at Grimsby try constantly to get a fix but I have the impression from my own case and other with the same issue that BMW MOTORRAD just DON’T CARE about customers! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Super application mais…. *2026-07-20* J’utilise cette application depuis maintenant presque 2 ans. Elle a complètement remplacé mon GPS TOM TOM rider. Je ne pourrai plus m’en passer. Cependant j’aimerai que les développeurs de cette appli apporte une amélioration. En effet, même si la programmation des itinéraires est facile à faire sur l’appli et sur smartphone, il sera très très intéressant de pouvoir le faire sur l’ordinateur avec une fonction de synchronisation avec le smartphone. Merci d’avance. ### 5/5 — Besser geht es nicht *2026-06-20* Seid vier Jahren mache ich mit Connected meine Touren. Anfangs mit mit dem Handy-Cradle war es etwas herausfordernd weil die Ipones durch die Kamera nicht fest im Chassis gehalten haben. Das mache ich jetzt anders, im Handy plane ich die Rote die dann übers Netz im Navigator übernommen wird, den Rest macht die Software. Auch wenn mir eine Route mir während der Fahrt nicht gefällt, kann ich mir alternativen anzeigen lassen. Das ist genial!!! Gute Anbindung an den Helm. Mit Telefon und Musik habe ich alles was ich brauche. Heute will ich mal mit dem IPad planen. Das Handy ist mir etwas zu klein. Zur Zeit in der Toskana unterwegs. Evt. Kann man die teilweise schlechte Wegstrecken anzeigen? ### 5/5 — Great App *2026-05-23, version 5.8.1* A nice app that gets you where you want to be. It’s easy to set a route on your phone and transfer to your bike. Skip destination is a great feature plus the ability to expand & contract the view. I particularly like the simple facts , like how much fuel your bike has , so when I’ve not ridden for a while and planning a trip I can just check the evening before. Really annoying ### 5/5 — Toll und voller Bugs *2025-06-09* Bei weitem der beste Kurvenallgorithmus, den man sich wünschen kann :) … leider verliert die App ständig den Kontakt zu meiner neuen BMW R1250R, sodass ich ständig anhalten muss, und mühsam alles neu starten muss damit es wieder funktioniert. Das kann einem schon echt mächtig die Fahrt versalzen. Trotzdem ist die App unverzichtbar für Leute, die Kurven fahren wollen. Sobald eine andere App einen gleich guten Kurvenallgorithmus hat, werde ich wechseln weil ich einfach keine Lust mehr habe, ständig anhalten zu müssen damit ich alles neu verbinde. ### 5/5 — La simplicité !! *2025-02-17* Utilisateur depuis quatre ans de cette application, je l'ai vu évoluer et progresser. Je lui mets cinq étoiles, je pense la meilleure que j'ai pu utiliser. Ne peut malheureusement être utilisé que si tu as une BMW. C'est le seul bémol. Les itinéraires sont pertinents pour les trajets sur route. Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de mode off road.
