### 2/5 — Daily user

*2026-01-27, version 1.1.7*

As of 01/27/26 when app launches opens for about 1 second, then close down. Makes app unusable. Needs to be updated.

### 2/5 — Make a dark theme!

*2025-11-30, version 1.1.7*

Make a dark theme!

### 3/5 — Login

*2025-11-02, version 1.1.7*

This is the only IoT app that wants me to login every time I open it. When I need to switch device manually, usually because of emergency or something, I gotta scramble to find the password first.

### 3/5 — It’s works but…

*2025-09-01, version 1.1.7*

Lame that it doesn’t work with Apple HomeKit

### 3/5 — Schedule Settings Frustrating

*2025-08-27, version 1.1.7*

I like this app for the convenience of controlling whatever it's for, but wish the schedule was more responsive, for lack of a better way to describe it. It's easy to use, but every time, and I do mean every time I set the schedule, I have to do it twice b/c it doesn't set the first time.
I typically turn the device on then set a time for it to shut off. I set the day, then the time, hit save. The screen jumps to the main schedule & it's still set on the previous setting. I have to make selection again. It usually takes the second time, after I hit the day, time & save several times. Occasionally it requires a third time to set. I use it daily, sometimes several times a day, & it's very frustrating that it takes several attempts to schedule off times. It would be a minor annoyance if it happened occasionally, but every time is more than annoying.

### 2/5 — Keeps disconnecting from switches

*2025-04-16, version 1.1.7*

This was working fine up until 2 weeks ago. Now the devices in the app won’t turn on with schedules. The devices always show “disconnected” in the app. Only when I see the device listed in the app does it reconnect, making auto schedules useless.

### 2/5 — No Support

*2024-12-09, version 1.1.4*

There is little to no useful help or structure on app features and structure. Many terms are undefined (e.g. “scene”) leaving this user unable to program the smart device to turn on and off at sunrise or sunset - this is a desirable feature for controlling lights. The plug is advertised with that feature but so far no success yet. I could set start/stop times but I don’t need a wireless connection to do that and don’t want to set new start/stop times every few days. The website is no better. Too bad the company doesn’t put any effort into making their product easy to use.

### 3/5 — Schedule

*2024-12-03, version 1.1.4*

Can't get the Schedule to work.
I can turn outlet on and off in the app

### 1/5 — ADVERTISEMENTS

*2024-11-23, version 1.1.4*

I have spent hundreds , literally hundreds of dollars on this company’s hardware and they are now injecting advertising on the app!

I am so angry.

### 1/5 — Used to work

*2024-09-25, version 1.1.4*

Had four plugs set up. They all worked beautifully. But now suddenly, none of them will ever connect to the app anymore. Now they are worthless, app won’t find them automatically nor when I do it manually. Seems support gift what I got was just dropped? Or they have a massive problem that has now lasted a month.

### 4/5 — Switches 2.4Ghz work great, app needs work

*2024-07-30, version 1.1.4*

Each switch was easy to program and worked in 1 time. Renaming a device is difficult, you expect is under management it is not. Grouping multiple switches i can’t figure out. For me there is no need to tell where i live and all the unneeded questions so all that stuff stays off.

### 1/5 — Faulty products won’t even turn on

*2024-05-28, version 1.1.4*

Faulty products won’t even turn on. Customer support refused replacement

### 1/5 — Device Control Bugs

*2024-04-26*

This app appears to be a version of the TUYA app which also appears as the Smart Life App. All three apps control a wide range of smart devices and there in lies the problem. I have just added a bathroom towel warmer to my list of devices only to find it has a program bug which prevents you from controlling the towel rail temperature hotter than 104F. The towel rail has a maximum temperature of 140F. It looks like a simple programming bug where the 4 and 0 are transposed. It is the same in the TUYA and Smart Life apps. I guess I will have wait for a fix to materialise so only 1 star for control of my towel warmer. My other devices work fine so in that respect I would score the app as 4 stars because the user experience is one of difficulty setting up timed schedules especially if you want to use the Sunset and Sunrise functions.
Update - 3 months after reporting the bug, the fault has not been acknowledged nor fixed making the app useless for controlling a towel warmer.

### 1/5 — Not connecting after update

*2024-04-13, version 1.1.4*

The title says it all. Can’t get it to link.

### 1/5 — Ads are a problem

*2024-04-10, version 1.1.4*

The app works for you turn on/off lights and set schedules. My issue is with notifications. If you turn notifications on to insure scheduled activities happen, you also open yourself up to push notifications from the company about other items they carry. This intrusiveness has insured I won’t buy any of their products in the future.

Also, as of late, I have to be connected to the same network to operate my devices. If I’m not home I’ll get a notification that schedule activity failed (though the action does get completed properly anyways). I can’t make sure any lights are on/off unless I’m close enough to the items. Making smart”ish plugs vice actual smart plugs that would be able to do these types of things

### 2/5 — Has ads. Can’t find plugs.

*2024-03-13, version 1.1.3*

I’ve used BN plugs for a couple of years and used the smart life app in the past. It was easy and worked great. That stopped working so I switched to this app. You get advertisements when you open it—very annoying. It also will not recognize new plugs I purchased from the same seller, same name brand, on Amazon. I scan the back of the plug and it only takes me to the App Store to download the sane dysfunctional app. It still works for my older (same model number) plugs. It’s becoming a multiple hour issue just to get a plug to work. I would recommend finding a different company to work with.

### 2/5 — Endless advertising

*2024-03-04, version 1.1.3*

I have to agree with endless notifications. There needs to be a way to turn off all the ads you get when all you want to do is turn on/off a light.

### 1/5 — Device Control Bugs

*2024-02-09*

This app appears to be a version of the TUYA app which also appears as the Smart Life App. All three apps control a wide range of smart devices and there in lies the problem. I have just added a bathroom towel warmer to my list of devices only to find it has a program bug which prevents you from controlling the towel rail temperature hotter than 104F. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-02-04, version 1.1.3*

The plugs never connect. It can’t find them in pairing mode. So returning them and deleting app.

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2024-01-31, version 1.1.3*

So annoying with all the pop up ads. You will accidentally hit one and it is challenging to get back to the main screen. Hate it
I will be switching these out I dislike the app so much

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Hate

*2026-07-04, version 1.1.7*

Words can’t describe how much I hate this app and all of its products.

### 1/5 — constant pairing issues

*2026-04-03, version 1.1.7*

Device constantly unpairs from the app and will not repair.

### 1/5 — What happened to my login information

*2025-09-18, version 1.1.7*

I can’t find the app in my passwords because I guess it goes by another name than in my apps on my iPad. Login issues are going to happen in the future if I don’t know the apps name or I have to delete all devices and start over. That seems to be a huge undertaking. I have loved the app and smart devices for years.

### 1/5 — Privacy concerns

*2025-08-08, version 1.1.7*

They ask you to consent to their predatory privacy policy or else you can’t use the app

### 1/5 — Can’t change wifi network

*2025-05-07, version 1.1.7*

Recently changed internet providers, and this app has no way to simply move to the network.

### 1/5 — Deleted all my schedules!

*2025-04-07, version 1.1.7*

This app will delete all your schedules if you run a countdown. Learn that the hard way after I lost 10 schedules just because I set a countdown to stay on for one day.

### 1/5 — ?

*2025-04-07, version 1.1.7*

Does nothing! Can’t connect. App is no help. Tried online and still nothing. (Smart Plug)

Update - 3 months after reporting the bug, the fault has not been acknowledged nor fixed making the app useless for controlling a towel warmer. One year on and the bug is still there. The app has been updated a couple of times in the meantime but the fault remains. SUPPORT IS NON-EXISTENT.

### 1/5 — Meh

*2024-12-06, version 1.1.4*

A very confusing app to connect your device to. There should be some directions for use for setting up a schedule for the timer. All of the titles sound very similar, and the circulate option makes little to no sense without directions. On/off switch is easy to use, so 5 stars there. 1 star for everything else.

### 1/5 — Complete garbage

*2024-12-03, version 1.1.4*

Yet another company that’s main objective is to collect data on customers. Buyer be ware.

### 5/5 — Just Great!

*2023-10-24, version 1.1.2*

Good app!!

### 5/5 — Just set this up. Could use a widget.

*2023-03-03, version 1.1.2*

I was a little confused at first because I wasn’t sure which product to select when the screen came up asking me to do so. None of the images looked like my product so I just guessed. Once I got it working it’s pretty cool. So far so good for day 1.

If I could have one wish it would be to have a widget that goes with this. Other than that, it seems like a great product.

### 5/5 — Love!
