## Newest reviews (14 of 44)

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2025-11-13, version 4.0.39*

If I could give this app a zero or even a -5, I would. This is what happens when you use third-party. You can’t even understand the people when you call the number they’re from another country.

### 1/5 — Tools are terrible

*2025-06-06, version 4.0.34*

The “valuation over time” only allows YTD, as one example. impossible to effectively evaluate your portfolio performance with this app.

### 1/5 — Can’t get in

*2025-04-07, version 4.0.33*

This app won’t let me in, even though I have an account. The customer service line doesn’t work either, and just hangs up on me.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPad.

*2025-03-11, version 4.0.33*

Very disappointed in this app. Twice this year, we have had to change the password on my account because it wasn’t recognized for any reason we could determine. . I can use the app on the iPhone but not my iPad. And don’t even try to get help!

### 1/5 — Login info deletes with every minor update they require

*2024-09-03, version 4.0.32*

Each time the app updates, it fails to retain any of the user login information. What good is having an app that doesn’t simplify the process of quickly seeing your finances? Also, app is very limited in terms of how you view your accounts.

### 1/5 — Crashes every time!

*2024-06-14, version 4.0.32*

The app crashes on the first attempt every single time I log in! Changing the name to BNY is not going to help you when you don’t have a half decent app. Even the tech support link on the Apple App Store doesn’t work. It’s pathetic.

### 1/5 — App crashed when enabling FaceID

*2024-05-31*

App keeps crashing when trying to enable FaceID on my iPhone & iPad.

### 1/5 — New version worse than what’s already terrible

*2024-04-29*

Useless information takes up so many columns that you can’t see the actual $$ amount unless you swipe pages of info to the left. Fonts are so tiny that you need a microscope to read and can’t even enlarge the fonts. Who’s building this thing? Are you even trying?!

### 1/5 — Poor User Experience

*2023-08-02, version 4.0.29.1*

I didn’t even I have a number of complaints about this app, but the first problem I encountered had to do with my username. Why provide a customer with a username they’ll never remember and then not allow them to change the username, or any other profile information such as my incorrect phone number, from the website or app? Basic functionality that a company of this size should have had in their initial app launch 4+ years ago.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2023-07-18, version 4.0.29.1*

Sometimes it works. Often a blank screen is the best it can manage.

### 1/5 — Useless content and UI (updated version)

*2023-07-17*

Tiny little texts, lots of empty space, couldn’t sort anything when there are 100+ stocks in the portfolio. The old version was terrible, but still better than the new one

### 1/5 — Rarely works

*2023-04-15, version 4.0.28.2*

I can’t understand how a big corporation, handling millions of dollars, can’t figure out how to get a decent app. From all the feedback, I’m clearly not the only one to feel this way.

About 1 out of 15 tries the app actually opens, mostly the timer just spins and spins, then I close the app, I update the app, I give up on the app - a week later I try again, no luck, another week and suddenly it works! Once. the next time I’m back to the same as above, rinse, repeat.

BNY really needs to look into this.

### 1/5 — Unacceptable and nonfunctional

*2022-09-18, version 4.0.23.0*

The app fails to start and barely works. I still haven’t been able to deposit important checks. Banks can and should do better. This is people’s money, so failed engineering is unacceptable.

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2022-09-01*

App won’t send step up to device, even though online can. Makes app 100% pointless. Disappointing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Please fix!

*2025-12-04, version 4.0.39*

The app no longer opens. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled it, but it doesn’t open anymore when I click on it. Please fix it.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2025-12-03, version 4.0.39*

Why is this app all of a sudden not working? I have to use the internet browser to log in to my account.

### 1/5 — App won’t Open

*2025-12-02, version 4.0.39*

every time I click to open the app it closes immediately. I check and there is no update. I don’t know what’s going on

### 1/5 — Unable to open app

*2025-12-02, version 4.0.39*

App keeps on crashing when trying to open

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2025-12-01, version 4.0.39*

I’m a newcomer to BNY Pershing, and if they handle my funds the way they write an app, I won’t be with them for long. I went through the full process of downloading and set up, but now every time I try to access the app it appears for a second and shuts down. No reason. I’m very frustrated by it.

### 1/5 — Login crash

*2025-11-29, version 4.0.39*

Login crash. Can’t even access.

### 1/5 — Please Update App

*2025-11-26, version 4.0.39*

App will not open on iPhone, please update.

### 1/5 — Fix your app

Fix your app - it no longer opens on IOS devices with latest operating system

### 1/5 — App won’t open.

*2025-11-21, version 4.0.39*

This app needs to be updated. I can’t even get it to open. How can I check my account if I can’t even get into it.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2025-11-20, version 4.0.39*

Navigation, functionality, reliable all very weak

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — Much Improved

*2022-05-31, version 4.0.21.1*

A few months ago, i downloaded this app and couldn’t even log into my account. After the last update, I can log in and access my account information seamlessly. I have not used the app much yet, but better is better.

### 4/5 — READ THIS - January 2022 login changes!!!

*2022-02-22, version 4.0.19.3*

In mid-late January 2022, Pershing made changes to their login, such that if you were using this app with FaceID/TouchID (FTID), the FTID you had been using no longer worked.

After spending much time on hold, I finally got to talk to a Pershing tech support person. This is what you need to do to make FTID work again.

First, remember your user ID and password. If you have everything synced between your Apple devices and you have a Mac, you can look it up in the Keychain Utility app. Not sure where you might find it on an iOS device. Or work with Pershing to change your password.

Next, in the iOS app, login to your account manually entering your user ID and password. DO NOT USE FTID!!!!!

Finally, once you are logged in, setup FTID like you did when you first started using this app. Things should be like they were before. Although, some of the menu items were a little weird the first few time I logged in using FTID; IIRC, the string “NXI” appeared in the menu items. But that has since gone away for me. YMMV

So once you are logged in, this is a decent enough app for accessing your Pershing account info. Nothing dazzling, it gets the job done. If you are like me and save the PDFs of monthly statements and other such documents from Pershing, I find saving in iOS awkward and much prefer doing all that on my Mac.

I hope this helps all the folks who, like me, had their difficulties using FTID after the Pershing login changes were implemented.

### 4/5 — Limited but adequate info in the app.

*2021-07-06, version 4.0.15.1*

I have only been using this app for a month. It gives basic account information but not much else. One problem I have is the font size is very small and it doesn’t enlarge with pinched fingers the way you can everything else on your devices.

### 3/5 — App won’t open anymore

*2025-12-04, version 4.0.39*

Worked fine until this week. Not sure how to report a problem

### 3/5 — App Not Working

*2025-11-27, version 4.0.39*

Not sure how to report a problem so I decided to just send review indicating app isn’t opening anymore. I’ve really never had any issue with it until this past week. Not sure what the problem is.

### 3/5 — Used app for years but no QA and now broken

*2022-01-26, version 4.0.19.3*

Yesterday I tried to login and there is a new login screen. There has been no update in a month so not sure how they did this, but you can’t login using keychain or paste because it doesn’t recognize the input. Extremely poor QA by someone. This change should never have rolled out. App is now useless.

Worse, when you try the link to report a problem it goes to a marketing page where they want to provide you product information so you can buy services. They need a dedicated page for app support.

### 2/5 — Buggy app

*2024-11-20, version 4.0.33*

Check amounts for electronic deposits are almost always recognized incorrectly. If you try to click the “edit” button, you have to click it multiple times before it lets you to edit the check amount. Deposited checks can’t be viewed or tracked. Just a terribly designed app.

### 2/5 — Face ID & remember device

*2024-07-12, version 4.0.32*

Since the last update, neither of these options work. it never prompts for Face ID, even though I have it turned on, and have turned it on multiple times. The remember my device does not work either.

### 2/5 — I hope they manage stocks better than they write apps

*2023-06-05, version 4.0.28.2*

I have to agree with a majority of commenters. The app is kludgy, glitchy, and difficult to use.

Back to the drawing board, folks!!

### 2/5 — Mediocre-surprised

*2023-03-10, version 4.0.27.0*

Appreciate the two factor authentication but why can’t you bother to program the input box to know I’m typing in numbers? It’s a simple programming thought and indicative to how little you care about the application.
