## What is Boardmint?

Boardmint is a practical charcuterie and grazing-board planner for hosts who want portions, shopping, timing, and table setup handled before guests arrive.

Choose guest count, occasion, style, and dietary filters. Boardmint builds a complete board with exact item quantities, estimated grocery cost, round and rectangular board-size guidance, category balance, and assembly notes.

NEW IN 2.1: HOST READINESS
The Host tab now gives every plan a Host Readiness score. It combines board balance, dietary coverage, budget, food-handling timing, event timeline, and serving scale into one 0-100 score with next fixes. Instead of checking separate tools before a party, you can see the weak spots immediately.

Boardmint runs on device. Saved boards, local grocery costs, event settings, and notes stay local. There are no accounts, analytics SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, or external planning servers.

Boardmint 2.2 puts you in charge of every item on the board. Not a fan of a suggestion? Tap the new swap button and Boardmint instantly picks an alternative that still fits your style, occasion, and dietary filters - swapped items stay off future boards until you restore them. The new Ingredient Pantry lets you browse and search the full catalog, see pairing notes, and mark items to avoid. Plus, your shopping list check-offs are now saved, so a half-finished store run picks up right where you left off.

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge. iPhone is unchanged; still fully on-device.

• Serving Temperature Guide — tap the thermometer icon on any item row to see exactly when to pull it from the fridge, how to present it on the board, and why temperature matters for that specific item. Covers all 22 cheeses, 13 cured meats, and key accompaniments and produce — with one-sentence answers sourced from the Academy of Cheese, Cabot Creamery, and Boarderie.

• PDF Export — export your full shopping list as a formatted PDF: one page per plan, category headers with color coding, item names, quantities, estimated costs, board size recommendation, and assembly tips. Share it via AirDrop, save it to Files, or print it directly. Available in Settings alongside the existing text and CSV exports.

• Board Layout Visual Guide — a new step-by-step visual guide shows how to physically assemble your board. Color-coded zone diagrams for both round and rectangular boards, 6 assembly zones in the correct order (anchors → bowls → meats → crackers → fresh → sweets), and 6 universal rules from professional food stylists. Open it from the Plan tab toolbar or from Settings.

• Wine & Drink Pairings — tap the glass icon on any cheese, meat, or accompaniment row to see sourced pairing recommendations with a one-line reason why they work. All 35 cheeses and cured meats have specific pairings; spreads, fresh items, and sweets show a category-level suggestion. Recommendations are drawn from VinePair, Vivino, Kendall-Jackson, Cabot Creamery, and Sequoia Grove Winery.

• Export your shopping list — share the full list as formatted text (perfect for Messages, Notes, or pasting into a group chat) or as a CSV file that opens in Numbers or Excel. Both formats include item, category, quantity, unit, and estimated cost.

• Local Prices — grocery prices vary by store and region. The new Local Prices editor in Settings lets you set your own per-item prices; cost estimates throughout the app update immediately. Custom prices are stored on your device and can be reset at any time.
