BoatTrip Buddy NL is your practical boating companion for preparing, planning and managing trips on Dutch waters and along the Belgian coast. Whether you are planning from home, preparing the boat in the marina or already underway, the app brings relevant VHF information, tides, marine forecasts, checklists, trip planning and boat management together in one clear place. Now designed for both iPhone and iPad, with optional iCloud sync across your devices. PLAN YOUR TRIP Create and save trips with your departure date, route, notes and planned departure time. Review available departure guidance together with nearby tide stations, weather information and relevant VHF channels. Saved trips can be reopened later, making it easy to continue planning or prepare for departure. EXPLORE AN AREA BEFORE YOU ARRIVE Place a pin anywhere on the map to inspect a marina, lake or sailing area in advance. Discover nearby bridges, locks, harbours, traffic areas, VHF channels and tide information without needing to be physically present. Save frequently used sailing areas for quick access later. SAILING INFORMATION AT A GLANCE Use your current or pinned location to find relevant VHF communication points nearby. Search and filter by category, view distances and open detailed information for individual stations, bridges, locks, harbours and traffic areas. TIDES AND MARINE FORECASTS View nearby tide stations and consult tide tables for the current and following day. Marine forecasts provide useful guidance on: • Wind speed and direction • Wave height • Swell • Water currents • Sea temperature ANCHOR BUDDY Anchor Buddy helps you monitor your boat while anchored. Choose a simple safety radius or calculate one using water depth, anchor chain, rope length, boat length and safety margin. The map displays the boat, anchor position, monitoring radius and recorded movement. When the boat remains outside the selected radius, Anchor Buddy can provide audible, visual and haptic warnings. PREPARE BEFORE DEPARTURE Work through a reusable departure checklist so important preparations are not forgotten. Customise the checklist for your own boat and apply seasonal templates when needed. BOAT PROFILE AND MAINTENANCE Store your boat details and keep maintenance organised. Add recurring or one-off tasks, monitor upcoming work and record completed maintenance. CLOSE OUT AND REVIEW TRIPS Complete a trip close-out after returning to the marina. Record notes and relevant details, then review completed journeys in your trip history.
