Enjoy! ### 4/5 — Sound doesn't work - Updated (works now) *2017-07-04* I paid for this app and deleted and reloaded it twice trying to get the sound to work. Going on a plane trip with my toddler tomorrow and really wanted this! UPDATE - Reloaded the app, made sure all updates on my phone were current and then loaded the latest version of the app and now the sound works. (I had tried the silent mode button several times previously and that didn't alter the issue before). Anyways, it works now. Still bummed I didn't get it in time for our trip but will be able to use it in the future! **Developer response:** Hi EGAK9, Please ensure your phone is not on silent mode (the button on the left of your phone). In response to the developers' updates to the app, here is my EDITED review: When attempting to use the app this morning, I first confirmed that my iphone 7 is running the latest iOS software and then uninstalled the Bob app and reinstalled it. Unfortunately, downloading the videos is still quite annoying, to the point of making this app more of a pain than an convenience. When downloading videos, it appears that the screen must remain "active" (the phone cannot go dark/lock, you cannot use another app/switch from the Bob app) while the download is happening or it will give you an error message on everything being downloaded and stop all progress made on the downloads. That's incredibly inconvenient, especially when trying to download multiple videos at once, which apparently takes centuries. I don't want to have to watch my phone for an hour while I download videos, and I definitely don't want to restart downloads over and over again because I stopped staring at my phone screen for two seconds. This issue makes it nearly impossible to download multiple videos at once. That said, it appears the issue with the downloaded videos not playing and the issue with being unable to download multiple videos at once has been resolved. As a suggestion, it would be nice if the downloaded videos automatically played in succession, instead of having to select a new video after finishing the previous video. I would like to play these songs in the car for my son and I prefer not to have to mess with my phone while I'm driving. If the downloaded videos automatically played next in line, it would be much more convenient. I realize this is an option on the "playlist" but I believe the playlist is only available via wifi/data, and not for download. Thank you to the developers for their quick response and I appreciate that they are working diligently to fix this app. **Developer response:** Dear Eureeka181, First off thank you for your detailed and honest review. This is the best way for us to work on improvements and enhancements that will benefit all users and production of future apps. We are releasing a fairly large update towards the end of this month / early next month in which we will include fixes to the issues you have raised, specifically: 1. Improve the downloading experience to allow for downloading videos in the background (either while using other apps or in lock screen) 2. Add more specific error messages (internet issue vs hard drive space issue) 3. Look to implement a resume download feature where downloads will resume once the error is fixed 4. Downloaded videos will autoplay 5. Downloaded videos will autoplay in audio mode if the phone is in lock screen for ease of use in the car To clarify on a couple of other points you’ve raised: 1. Slow download / streaming speed. This is entirely dependant on the internet speeds available. A 2 minute video is approx 50MB and should take about 20 seconds to download on a 20Mbps connection. 2. Playlists function: This works with both downloaded and streamed videos. So you can use both video types while creating playlists. 3. Another reason for download errors could be lack of disk space. Average video file size is about 60MB. For now we suggest that you use the playlist function which will allow you to have non stop playback for your chosen videos - just until we issue the update later this month.
