All of my prior progress of this great game made me happy, and when I came back after a while, I found that this game totally changed and restarted my 3 years of work. I understand that the new update may have improved the overall glitch and gameplay, but I really enjoyed the previous version. Another thing to keep in mind is that I liked the graphics and design more in the other version as well, it provided more and clear detailed animation’s. Bringing up the prompt presents a delay because you have to bring that up and THEN begin shaking which just seems like extra work and is cumbersome, and handing the drink over takes too long. But overall it is a good game! ### 4/5 — cutee *2026-05-19, version 2.1.4* it’s really cute/calm and i like to play it when im really bored ### 4/5 — love this game but one thing ! *2026-05-18, version 2.1.4* hi everyone ! so i downloaded this game about 2 days ago & i absolutely love it so far , but i can’t figure one thing out & no one online is answering my question so i guess maybe no one else is having this issue i’m not sure… but can someone explain to me how to get my customers to ask for the custom drinks/recipes i have crafted ? i’m just a little bit confused. what is the point of the crafting section of the game ? do the drinks that you craft over there eventually pop up in the section where you make drinks ? please can someone explain because i’d love to make brown sugar boba for my customers in the game. not only that but i noticed there was a map down at the bottom of the screen where other “worlds” are listed , but when you tap them nothing happens… is this another locked section of the game ? there’s not enough explaining to be honest in order to fully understand how to maximize your experience in the game , but regardless i love the concept & the style & i genuinely think this is the best boba shop game on the app store💕 can’t wait to give a great review for this game on my accounts , & i look forward to hopefully more insight on my questions👍🏽 ### 2/5 — The New Update *2026-04-22, version 2.1.4* I’m writing a new review in the light of the update because I have some opinions on it. I’ve played Boba Tale 2 years prior to the update and this update I think has taken a lot of the joy from boba tale for me personally. I like the new mechanic changes of getting to know more about the NPCs were serving but here are my main issues: 1) For a rework of mechanics it’s still glitchy and buggy as hell, there has been 0 improvement on that end and frankly the touch screen processing is honestly worse than before. Delays or lack of registering button presses, allowing me to tap ingredients through the shake drink screen, and clicking one thing to have another thing appear in my brewing bar. For a timed game it’s incredibly frustrating. 2) Lack of compensation for old players, the apology didn’t frankly feel sincere at all and there was no attempt to try and help old long time players with the switch. It was one day I’m fine and nearly maxed out everything, to all progress deleted having to start from scratch with an even glitchier game. 3) Level ups actively getting in the way of game play. Whenever a level up happens it gets in the way of the barista buttons for brewing which for a timed game is frustration of having to tap out of that level up screen or even being trapped on it until the fifth tap trying to click off. Level ups should be exciting and rewarding but frankly you get pretty much nothing out of them and they feel more like an annoyance. 4) Diamonds being useless, when rewards get unlocked it grants us blue gems or diamonds. This would be useful if these gems did anything substantial for the game, but all they do is offer aesthetic cafe design with no real benefit, which in a timed game all on optimization and buying level ups for your equipment isn’t that useful at all. Rewards feel meaningless. 5) Money being exhausting to get. It feels like the amount of effort I put into a timed sale gives little reward to get me closer to leveling up my game materials. It’s frustrating cause I’ll do my best only to make 2k early or 6k mid-ish game and everything costs like 80k+. It feels like an imbalanced climb with little to no incentive, and I know ads are what keeps this game running, but with how often they come up paired with a pretty depressing salary it’s a total mood killer. 6) Inconsistencies with bonuses and clients. I’ve counted and sometimes I’ll serve up to 11 or 12 customers early game or 23ish customers mid game and it’ll mark it lower at like 9 or 19. Also sometimes I watch the ads for a bonus but I end up getting no bonus. I’m all fine with reworks especially if you’ve grown as a developer and want to give a bit more love to a beloved game of yours, but if you’re going to complete wipe everyone’s progress from before the update at least fix the problems from the previous versions instead of making them worse, and actually try to make a better game for the loyal players of Boba Tale ### 5/5 — Really good but missed the old version *2026-04-20, version 2.1.4* I really like this game but the new update kinda changed everything a bit and to be honest I kind of miss the older version.
