### 3/5 — Doesn’t track swim workouts

*2026-05-27, version 1.56*

Didn’t include any of my swim workouts.

### 5/5 — Addictive asf

*2026-03-19, version 1.53*

Not gonna lie I check my body battery like 5 times a day ? It’s cool seeing how stress and workouts affect it. Works great with the Apple Watch

### 2/5 — Can’t really do what it claims

*2026-03-19, version 1.53*

My main complaint is that it’s fine at grabbing information from Apple Health but fails when a workout has been done with Garmin or Strava. These platforms communicate only partially with Apple Fitness and Apple Health so that even a 3 hour ride in Zone 3 isn’t acknowledged in Apple Health and therefore in Body Battery. The latter then gives you a score based on woefully incomplete information. I don’t think there’s a solution to this as Strava, Garmin etc are seeking to defend their territories etc.
So in conclusion, apart from a novel UI, it’s fairly worthless.

### 5/5 — Recovery days feel less guilty now

*2026-03-12*

I used to feel bad skipping the gym. Now if my score is low I actually feel smart about resting.

**Developer response:** We actually built this app for this exact use case, because we were working out regardless of how we felt. Glad that it is useful for you

### 5/5 — Subtle but useful

*2026-03-12*

I don't check it obsessively. Just glance at it before deciding on a run or rest day. That's all I needed.

**Developer response:** Ideally you check it once a day (after you wake up), and then you plan the day accordingly. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

### 5/5 — Better than Garmin's version

*2026-03-12*

Recently switched from a Garmin and Apple Watch + this app gives me more actionable info day to day.

### 5/5 — Not just for athletes

*2026-03-12*

I don't even work out that much. I just like knowing if my body is recovering well from stress and bad sleep.

### 5/5 — powerful

*2026-01-22*

I like that it’s not over complicated. Quick check in the morning and I know if today is a push day or chill day

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time out to review the app. Happy that you are enjoying it.

### 5/5 — Great if you work out a lot

*2026-01-22*

Lifting + cardio 5x a week and this helps me avoid overdoing it. Recovery tips are solid

**Developer response:** Glad you’re liking the experience!

### 5/5 — Didn’t expect to use it daily

*2026-01-22*

Sleep insights are eye opening. Worth it IMO

**Developer response:** Thank you! Please let us know what features you’d like to see next.

### 5/5 — Not perfect but I like it

*2026-01-14*

Sometimes numbers change a bit day to day, but overall it helps me understand my sleep and stress way better

**Developer response:** Love that you’re using the app daily. Please let us know how we can improve.

### 5/5 — Great if you wear Apple Watch

*2026-01-14*

If you already have an Apple Watch, this just makes it better. The energy score makes sense and matches how I feel most days

**Developer response:** Glad to be of service!

### 1/5 — Would like refund but email keeps bouncing

*2026-06-09, version 1.56*

I downloaded the Body Battery app almost a week ago and straight away just paid for the year thinking it would be exactly what I needed.

Unfortunately it gives me nothing! I have lots of niggly personal issues with it (like it saying my v02max score is poor - when for a 42 perimenopausal woman my score is actually average to good! Is it for young gym bros only?!)

But my main issue is that I have no idea what I’ve got to do with the score / charge I’ve been given! There’s no info / guidance / help / support on what any of it means or how to adapt that days training or recovery!

Please can I cancel my subscription and request a refund.

### 1/5 — Zero trial period, payment to even see app

*2026-05-01*

Giving one star because there’s no trial. You’re forced to do a subscription regardless of the price. I have no way to see the app until I pay money. It might be a great app and it might be the worst app. I think it’s icky that companies take all your data all your information and then make you pay before you know what you’re getting.

### 1/5 — Hearty laughter to start my day, thx

*2026-04-03*

“We’re a small firm with meager resources” so users should be happy to pay $20yr sub to see how this really works. Riiiight. But you do see enough to spot blatant inconsistencies. SMH

### 1/5 — Weak

*2026-03-19*

Misleading description in App Store says 3 day free trial. There is none. So I wasted the $20. Every reading is so far off from Autosleep (a much better app) and the readings always say “may be in accurate”. Hell yeah, it’s inaccurate! Aside from just being inaccurate every time, the app just isn’t well designed. Temp is in Celsius and there seems to be nowhere to change it. In fact there are no settings at all. Reading captions go part way through…
and then end with an ellipsis. No way to see the rest. Don’t waste your money.

**Developer response:** ho we don’t offer a trial, as we are a tiny team with no resources. But we do show you all your data and insights upfront, so that you can make an informed decision. All the information shown in the app is based on data written to Apple Health (be it by Autosleep or by Apple Watch). So I am not sure why you would term it as inaccurate.
Please feel free to email us, more than happy to figure out a way to refund your money if you’re not satisifed with the product :)

### 1/5 — Weak

*2026-03-18*

The app just isn’t well designed. Temp is in Celsius and there seems to be nowhere to change it. In fact there are no settings at all. Messages go part way through…
and then end with an ellipsis. No way to see the rest. These are just some of the weak design.

### 1/5 — Read Before Purchasing

*2026-03-10*

Purchased this as I transitioned from Garmin and was missing the Body Battery metrics of recharge, start ect that we all wish Apple Health had. Purchased this as some reviews listed it as the complementary to get this back.

Purchased only to find out it’s like a one time static over view and both other metrics. I would not purchase or get if looking for this tool for Body Battery metrics! Waste of $20

**Developer response:** Hi,
We’ve clearly mentioned everywhere that all metrics gets updated daily, after your sleep data is processed. I am not sure where the confusion is.
We will process a refund since there is an expectation mismatch.

### 1/5 — You can't do anything without membership

*2026-02-25, version 1.53*

This app is a complete scam. It claims to be free in the ads, but you can't even get past the login screen without registering

### 1/5 — Ineffective

*2026-02-24*

This app showed the same battery percentage for me from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed. It never changed. It conflicts with the info on the apple health app. I wish I could get my money back.

**Developer response:** Hello,
We’ve never claimed that your daily energy score changes minute by minute. It is a score that changes daily, just like Whoop or Oura.
Also, referring to conflicts with Apple Health, our HRV and RHR our different from Apple Health because we take these measurements during the deep stage of your sleep, whereas Apple Health records it throughout the day. The method we use is the more accurate one and is the practice followed Whoop, Oura or Garmin.

### 1/5 — Needs Work

*2025-12-06, version 1.48*

This app really needs work… I would like a refund. It’s not doing what it should be doing the battery doesn’t change throughout the day. I can’t get it to work with my Apple Watch. It only shows workouts on the apple watch and not my battery score.it’s not easy to use and it’s missing a Settings tab. So I’m unable to edit anything. Also, some of the readings don’t make any sense and I can’t seem to get the battery to update throughout the day. Finally, when you click on app Support, there’s literally no Support.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2025-11-12, version 1.46*

App now only opens to window trying to sell me “Body Charge”. Only option in window is “buy now”.
