### 4/5 — Love it!!

*2026-02-27*

I’ve really liked the in depth data with this app. I would have given 5 stars if I were able to scroll to read the summary (primarily in the sleep section). Some of the Ai information pops up once and if you don’t read it fast enough, it disappears. Other than that it’s great!

**Developer response:** hey, thanks for the feedback! I already fixed this, should be released in the next version.
Happy tracking!

### 5/5 — Seems good so far

*2025-09-30, version 245*

I like the clean and simplistic look, will continue to use to see how it performs long term.

### 5/5 — Agréablement surpris

*2025-09-26, version 245*

Je cherchais une application permettant de démultiplier les fonctions de santé d’Apple, et là j’ai découvre cette application gratuite et fonctionnelle, un grand bravo au développeur et continuez comme ça.

### 4/5 — Insightful! (No pun intended!)

*2025-09-23*

I’ve been using this app for about a year or two now and I really like it but my major grip is with the age estimate. For context I’m in my 30s and it says I have the equivalent fitness age of a 58-year-old man even though my other metrics put me in the top 10% of my age group due to my weightlifting background. I don’t really like apples VO2 max algorithm and I’ve noticed this app has its own VO2 max algorithm.

Apple puts me at 30.2 which is awful, but this app puts me at 50+. It’s just the contradictions don’t really make sense and it rubs me the wrong way when it berates me for being 'out of shape'.

**Developer response:** hi there! Thanks for trying out the app. It looks like you found some bug, please contact me at hi@bodyinsights.live and I'll try to get it working for you.
Please note that this app is totally free, without selling your data or other shady stuff. I am working on it alone in my spare time.

### 5/5 — This app has become indispensable

*2025-09-10*

I reviewed this app a year ago, but I wanted to come back to say that this app has become part of my daily routine. Completely indispensable - I cannot fathom how I lived without it. The data and what it presents is all so helpful, and the user interface is clean, clear and beautiful.

This app should be on everyone’s Home Screen if you have an Apple Watch.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the positive review 🙏

### 5/5 — Loving the improvements

*2025-02-27, version 170*

I’m loving watching this all change and evolve. A great developer!

### 5/5 — Good and clean

*2025-01-16, version 161*

Very clean app with good insights. Coach advice feature is very helpful. Looking forward to future updates!

### 5/5 — Simple, easy to love.

*2024-07-06*

Great app. You can see everything on the front page, and recent updates (July 2024) have fixed sleep tracking issues I was having and a few other bugs. Thanks!

### 4/5 — 100% inaccurate!

*2024-07-03*

I tried it and I hate it. It gives inaccurate information says I have the health fitness of a 56-year-old and says I slept for 14 hours last night, which is not true!

I work out probably 10 hours a week. I’m physically fit, healthy, and strong. I’m 31 for reference.

### 3/5 — Needs some adjustments

*2024-06-19*

There is no settings menu. For some reason the temperature is in Celsius even though my watch and phone record them in Fahrenheit.

**Developer response:** I've released new version which should now have Farenheit support. Thanks for reporting it!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-05-14, version 1.9.53*

Thank you!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working as of late

*2026-05-28*

New update won't move past "preparing" page after a day or so. Completely broken for me.

**Developer response:** hey looks like you found a bug 🐞 remove and reinstall the app - should work! If not - drop us a message support@bodyinsightsapp.com

### 1/5 — Used to be good and simple

*2026-03-22*

This app is getting to be more cluttered and chunky

**Developer response:** Hello, you're right to point that out - app WAS getting clunky UX wise. So I sat down and spent the last couple of weeks working to strip away that "clutter" and simplify the experience so it feels light and intuitive again. If you update the app now, you'll see a much cleaner space designed to let your data speak for itself.

I'd love to know if it feels right to you now.

### 1/5 — Col

*2026-03-04, version 391*

Rubbish

### 1/5 — The new UI is bad

*2024-02-29, version 1.6.1*

It was quite interesting to see a lot of information at a glance. But with the new UI, the App is now useless to me

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2026-05-19*

I get very different values with the age and fitness components, sent screen shots and got the not very helpful response that it’s a bug but no offer for a refund. Starting in May 2026 the app keeps pushing to upgrade to the premium version which I already subscribe to. I delete it, redownload it and it works for a day or so before asking for the upgrade. I want my money back, prorated is fine but this has been very disappointing.

### 2/5 — Newest update is broken

*2025-12-01*

On iOS 26.1 on an iPhone 13 and my friend’s 14 Pro Max the app closes instantly after launching. Seems the newest update crashes or is broken. Unfortunate.

### 2/5 — Notification Spam

*2024-05-13, version 1.9.53*

After the most recent updates I’m now being spammed every minute by a notification with my latest HRV reading. Not good. 😩

### 3/5 — Buggy

*2026-05-23*

I get very different values with the age and fitness components, sent screen shots and got the not very helpful response that it’s a bug but no offer for a refund. Starting in May 2026 the app keeps pushing to upgrade to the premium version which I already subscribe to. I delete it, redownload it and it works for a day or so before asking for the upgrade.

5/26/26, thanks for the app update, it fixed the problem.

**Developer response:** Hey there Anthony,
I understand that this is a very frustrating upgrade loop bug. When the app gets in the way of you tracking your health, it defeats the whole purpose, and I understand your disappointment.
As soon as I saw your message, I found the bug and released a permanent fix the next day. If you update the app now, it will recognize your premium subscription smoothly.
Regarding your refund: because transactions happen securely through the App Store, Apple handles all payments directly and developers cannot issue refunds. You can easily request a prorated refund from them at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you choose to give the updated version another try, I’d love to know if everything is finally working smoothly for you.

### 3/5 — Strange behaviour

*2026-03-31, version 411*

Ths thing is way too battery hungry even with background refresh disabled. Upwards of 24% usage on a brand new iphone17 with screen time of a few minutes. Kinda confused as to what its actualy doing to warrant this.

### 3/5 — Nice and simple

*2024-10-10, version 1.991.9*

I do like it. Just the heart rate zones seem way out, for zone 2 it seems way high and not using the 60-70% zones based off max HR. Not sure if it will measure my zone 2 cardio that I do in the zones app. Will wait and see

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Useful Fitness App

*2026-07-23*

Love it. I enjoy statistical analysis and this app scratches that itch.

### 5/5 — Data not being read

*2026-06-24, version 446*

The last update has removed the sleep data from the front page. When digging deeper the app reckons that I have slept for a minimum of 24.5 hours every day. This has made the app useless.
UPDATE: The app has started to read sleep data again and seems to be fairly accurate. Not sure what went wrong, but I did nothing then it started reading again. Hence the upgrade to 5 stars.

### 5/5 — very succinct and glanceable, yet detailed when you dive in.

*2026-04-20*

a very pleasant view of a lot of detailed health data. I like that it presents as glanceable - yet informative, but there’s plenty to dive deeper into when you have the time. good selection of widgets with the same pleasing, glanceable info.

i use this to gauge when i can push and when i should hang back and it has been surprisingly spot on! i have had this app for a while, but due to such accurate consistency, i decided to subscribe.

——
i have found a bug though..
Under the Fitness > Heart section, the RHR shows “Your current resting heart rate is outside standard bands” with a question mark icon if your resting HR is under 46. As an athlete, mine is at the 41 range on average. so maybe increase the that to incorporate a larger range?

**Developer response:** hey there, looks like you're the outlier in the data and have exceptional heart health! Great to hear that! I've added another tier for people like you so you can know now that you're better than 99% of population haha 😁

### 5/5 — Perfect for us chronically ill peeps

*2026-03-27*

This is the app I’ve been needing. I have an Apple Watch, but had been considering getting a wearable through Visible to help with pacing. Now, I don’t need to do that.

Body Insight has all the information I need to make sure I’m pacing myself properly to avoid a flare. Super affordable subscription too!

The only thing missing that I wish it did… show insights from my glucose testing. I don’t have a CGM, but stick test frequently.

**Developer response:** Hello Morgannin, thank you so much for sharing this. It truly means a lot to hear that the app insights are making a real difference for you.

I actually started building this app for that exact reason -- I was navigating my own chronic lyme and felt that traditional medicine was often missing the bigger picture by completely ignoring signals our bodies send us every day. I wanted to create something that finally listened to that data, and I'm so glad it's helping you find a rhythm that avoids those flares.

Your suggestion about manual glucose entry is a really thoughtful one. App should actually "catch" glucose data if it's there. Can you drop me a message j@bodyinsightsapp.com so I can investigate why it does not show for you?

### 5/5 — Useful Fitness App

*2026-03-12*

Really enjoy this app.

### 5/5 — Great little app

*2026-02-25*

Great little app for getting a summary of your health and body condition. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2025-12-27, version 290*

It’s amazing how it’s changed over the months. Best of luck with it, it’s great!

### 5/5 — Newest update fixed

*2025-12-02*

Nice free health app aggregator

**Developer response:** 👌👌👌

### 5/5 — This app SAVED my life!

*2025-11-02*

It showed my cardio fitness implied i was 36 years older than my actual age. And falling. Doctors found two heavily blocked arteries which are now handled. If not for this app and Apple cardio fitness alerts, i may not have literally survived 2025.

### 5/5 — Spelling Check

*2025-10-06*

Hi, just wanted you to have a basic spell check in the App. The spelling of Fatigue is slightly off.🤣😁
Otherwise the app is great.
