The previous version had my login info stored so it was a quick and seamless login. Not anymore. I went through the steps of resetting my password but that didn’t take so I removed the app and I guess I’m just not ordering my supplements from bodybuilding anymore because of the inability of that simple process to work. I shouldn’t have had to reset my password at all, but if I do it should work. ### 1/5 — New Version *2021-08-07* Worst Update Ever ### 1/5 — Update is very very bad *2021-07-27, version 2.2* The updated app is very slow, lots of glitches, and the overall appearance is worse than the original app. To me it also seems disorganized and difficult to navigate. It also keeps sending to a website which I find incredibly annoying - I should be able to find the products and make my order all within the app. I have deleted the app from all my devices because I honestly can’t stand even trying to use it. I will not use this app again until it’s at least something like the previous version. The previous one was perfect! Why did they even change it? It didn’t need any improvement, and the current version certainly is NOT an improvement. Please just bring back the previous version. Until then, you have lost a customer. ### 1/5 — Worst update ever *2021-07-27* When I first opened the new application, I thought it was hacked. Terrible layout. Every time I select an item, it takes me to a weird webpage. The previous version worked great, hope they can restore it. Until this happens, I am shopping elsewhere. ### 1/5 — Proper app became a web app 👎 *2021-07-27* For whatever reason, Bodybuilding.com has decided to turn its fully functioning mobile app into a web app, which makes it pointless to even have the app installed on my phone anymore because I can simply visit the website from the browser and have the exact same experience. I’m not a developer, but I believe web apps require less time and money to maintain, so perhaps this web app situation is only a temporary solution until the company recoups some of the losses from the pandemic and could afford to pay a proper app developer again. Or maybe Bodybuilding.com is doing this on purpose because it wants to gradually phase out the Store app and to eventually incorporate the shopping function into the BodyFit app. Regardless of the reason, I have already uninstalled the web app. ### 2/5 — Lost key Feature with Redesign *2021-07-26, version 2.2* No more favorites/wishlist? Now it has become more cumbersome where I have to look up each of my regular supplements when it is time to reorder. A shiesty way of pushing their customers into signing up for their subscription reorder plan, perhaps? The app keeps redirecting to and opening a new tab in my web browser every time I select something in the app. Really annoying. This app has taken many steps back in usability since the prior version. Can’t recommend anyone use it in its current state. Just utilize the website instead. ### 1/5 — Worst update ever *2021-07-12* DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP The new update has made the app basically unusable, its just the desktop version in the app making it extremely buggy and hard to navigate. Ive had to order my protein on my laptop as the latest update made this app practically useless. Change it back! ### 1/5 — Update is crap… *2021-06-21* I’ve used this app for several years now and I’m wholly disappointed in the recent update. I get what they are trying to do, but its a big turn off for me. I mostly used it to purchase my supps, occasionally looking at tip, blogs. Ordering is now broken. Was just going to get a new round of preworkout and whey, but the cart wont delete or update. I also don’t want your membership. I’ll go directly to ON and pay full price than hassle with BB anymore. ### 1/5 — New update sucks. *2021-06-16* Latest update makes this app almost unusable. Go back to the way it was before. New update makes it terrible to try and find things to order and looks like it is just a website it opens. It’s just the website, it doesn’t even feel like an app. Go back to the previous version for the love of god. ### 1/5 — The “new look” *2021-06-13* Why even have an app when it's just your mobile website? Clicking on some of the links even sends you to the website. Photos of the items seem to large. When searching by brands only a few are listed compared to their previous search which allowed you to look at an entire alphabetical list. Save the few MBs of memory this app will take up on your device and just use the website. Lame. ### 1/5 — Horrible update *2021-06-12* The new app design is horrible. Very hard to navigate and find what you’re looking for easily. Items load extremely slow if at all. And when I clicked on “shop by brand” it took me to my browser. So what’s the point?? This was a great app. Very convenient and easy to use. Now it’s just a mess. Might as well delete it and save the wasted space on my phone. Please bring back the old design. ### 1/5 — New update is terrible *2021-06-12* The new update just put a website inside of an app, it’s not an actual app. It sends you to the US Bodybuilding.com website where it doesn’t save any of your account info or items in your cart. The cart page only opens on half the screen and it’s very hard to see the prices as a result. Just an overall terrible update and massive step backwards from before. ### 4/5 — Best supplement store one can find *2020-09-16* Bodybuilding.com is thebestplace to shop for supplements. I haven’t found any retailer who can match it’s prices. Reason for 4star instead pf 5 is because they removed the free gift option. 🙁 ### 4/5 — Kaged muscle *2020-07-25* I gave a 4 star because your website hasn’t carried the kaged fat burner nor the s’mores flavour isolate protein which I find very inconvenient. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Offer discount and then pull it *2024-01-26* First off, your selection of Jym products is lacking badly. Then I put some items in my cart and you offer a 15 percent discount for my email. I put my email in and get said discount for you to take it away at the end saying I’m not eligible. Of course I put more product in my cart after getting the discount. This site has become a joke. I’ve had multiple problems with this site in the past. Seems to be getting worse. Not sure I’ll use it much more. ### 1/5 — The update made it worse *2023-03-19* Before the the app was updated it was very easy to use and navigate. Now the it’s updated the app constantly opens up random pages in the web browser outside the app each time I click through anything. If I click to read about the ingredients, it opens a random page in browser. Click on a category, random page in browser. Do anything, random page in browser. I can’t see my orders, hard to navigate. When I finally did manage to order something, I never received an email stating it’s been sent, like I the old app and I still haven’t received my order in over a week, yet my Visa was charged. I’ve tried contacting the company twice and haven’t heard back. I’m Canadian, and once I do (if) I receive my order, I’m not ordering anymore with them until they change back to their old format. A few months ago, I couldn’t order something on the app without consistent pop ups from websites. Now I can get to the point where I pay and the screen goes blank when I choose PayPal. What is the point of the app if I can’t order from it. The app was much better before all of the new updates. If it’s not broken then why try to fix it ?????
