### 2/5 — Not accurate or reliable

*2026-01-01, version 5.5.0*

I was very excited to not have to actually use a tape measure but this thing is so inaccurate. It constantly thinks one arm is 1 inch small that the other and yesterday I some how said that my right arm got 3 inches mallet in 4 days. I am not happy especially after spending 50 bucks! I would not recommend

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-10-21, version 5.5.0*

Since upgrading to iPhone 17, it no longer has the new scan option at the bottom so it’s useless

### 1/5 — App simply doesn’t work

*2025-10-11, version 5.5.0*

You are forced to purchase a subscription before attempting your first scan, but after purchasing the subscription the scan simply didn’t work. It silently failed after briefly showing the message “preparing” I have third all the usual things (check permissions, delete/reinstall etc) but no change. I am on the latest iPhone with up to date software, so stands to reason there should be some level of support. I have in effect paid 20 dollars for absolutely nothing.

### 1/5 — Disparate

*2025-10-05, version 5.5.0*

No tiene prueba gratuita

### 1/5 — App stopped working

*2025-09-22, version 5.5.0*

I upgraded from a quarterly subscription to an annual subscription. After upgrading my phone to an iPhone 17 Pro Max, the capture button disappeared.

### 3/5 — Just try renewing or getting on as upgraded

*2025-05-17*

We just went to update our payment info which took forever and didn’t work. So we had to cancel and delete the app and then create a new one — which we paid for the premium with our PayPal (Apple)— it has been deducted from account BUT it still only says FREE but in the app it has the payment and the renewal for next year. Trying to get an answer. Aside from that I DO LIKE the app — although not entirely accurate — and it sometimes has trouble processing the days information/scan.

**Developer response:** Hi, we apologise for the inconvenience. Please contact us at support@bodymapp.com and we can investigate and troubleshoot the problem for you. We look forward to hearing from you.

### 1/5 — Buy or not use

*2025-04-08, version 5.5.0*

There’s no trial, no free scans whatsoever

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2025-01-26, version 5.5.0*

Got scales but make you pay to use features on app. Retuning and buying one with a free app - just pure greed !

### 1/5 — Horrible and Inaccurate App

*2025-01-11, version 5.5.0*

Loved the mport pods and used them for years , very accurate and informative.

Since switching to the app and closing the pods the app is horribly inaccurate and crappy to use, a real shame.

### 1/5 — I feel like I got tricked

*2024-12-28, version 5.5.0*

I payed 30$ for 3 months and can’t even do my first scan because it isn’t accessing my camera. I have a 14 plus, it’s no reason it shouldn’t work with my phone…

### 1/5 — Terrible App, will not scan

*2024-12-22, version 5.5.0*

The app constantly says I am standing too far away but that’s how far away I have to be to get my head to hips into frame. As a result I cannot get a scan to work anymore. This app was great when they had the physical Mport scanners.

### 2/5 — Bring back the pods

*2024-12-11, version 5.5.0*

Like others before me have commented, it’s such a shame that the pods in shops were shut down. They were a brilliant product and so much more person friendly than using my smart phone app.
I’d have happily paid for each visit to one of those rather than using current “hit & miss” accuracy technology. I won’t be renewing my annual subscription.

### 1/5 — Everything is locked on the free version

*2024-12-02, version 5.5.0*

Can’t even submit my measurements myself. I am not convinced to pay for something when I can’t even test out the most basic features

### 1/5 — Can’t actually scan

*2024-11-09, version 5.5.0*

The button to scan has disappeared so now I’m paying for a premium membership and can’t scan. What am I paying for?

### 1/5 — Started well but app now doesn’t work

*2024-11-06, version 5.5.0*

App worked well in beginning but there is clearly an issue with its compatibility with the new iOS or new devices as I can’t for the life of me get it to allow me to actually scan. Worked in the beginning but no ability to scan now. Doesn’t work when I hit scan now on notifications, from email notifications or push notifications. I’ve done everything - deleted and re-downloaded the app, refreshed all the settings, signed out and back in. Nothing. A whole month of this. No support and no update. Not worth it.

### 1/5 — Not compatible with iPhone 16

*2024-11-05*

When I first got this app it worked well. The last couple months it either won’t save my scans or I can’t get it to scan at all. Kind of annoying. Guess I’ll find another.
*update*
After contacting support I was told this app is not compatible with the iPhone 16 and no timeline when it will be available. Also, told they cannot refund for the portion of my annual subscription that I cannot use. I was told to contact Apple support for that. Apple won’t do anything about it. Waste of time and money. Thanks for that

**Developer response:** Hi, kindly note that we have released a fix which means you can now scan with your iPhone 16. Thank you very much for the patience.

### 1/5 — No app and hard to get an answer

*2024-10-29, version 5.5.0*

Paid $75 for the phone app via Apple services. It didn’t work and Bodymapp says they have no record of me or my purchase. You can see the purchase in my Apple Store. Apple says they should have it. Both say to contact each other for a refund. So I have no app and no refund.

### 1/5 — Stopped Working

*2024-10-06*

I have used this app for nearly a year and am a paid premium subscriber. The app was great while it worked. The measurements were accurate, which is the most important function. However, a few weeks ago the ‘+’ button to add new body scans disappeared. I have reached out to the app dev twice, with no response. So save your money until they get it fixed.

**Developer response:** Hi, we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Please contact us at support@bodymapp.com with your iOS app version and phone model and we will investigate into the issue for you.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Basic

*2026-07-20, version 5.6.1*

Whilst info is good I wouldn’t recommend this app. There are obvious flaws with the software giventuat each time I want to use it, it asks me for me password I enter it and tells me it is incorrect when it isn’t. Then I send support email to reset it and nothing. I contact support and nothing. This is the 3rd time this has happened and that’s it. Don’t take my money and not provide the service I paid for. Fix your software and answer the support emails. It’s not hard.

### 1/5 — No Trial, No Unpaid Functionality

*2026-01-31, version 5.5.0*

Not going to pay for an app without some level of testing it out first. Especially with many poor previews. I would prefer to form my own opinion but no can do as all functionality is locked.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2026-01-24*

I have utilized Bodymapp for full body scans for the last two years while I was on a postpartum journey to rebuild my strength. I lost significant fat and built muscle, overall dropping about 10% of my weight. I had a dexa scan performed at similar times and the dexa scan showed my decrease in body fat (-8% overall) meanwhile Bodymapp showed an increase in body fat (+8the other way). Based on the dexa scan results, how I look and feel, I know it’s incorrect and misleading. I’m disappointed.

### 1/5 — Jim

*2025-12-28, version 5.5.0*

I’m not impressed with customer service as I am having a hard time getting a refund. because it doesn’t work on my older iPad!

### 1/5 — Everything is behind a paywall

*2025-12-16, version 5.5.0*

You literally can’t access ANYTHING without paying for the app. Honestly they should just put a price on the app from the beginning before you even download it!!!

### 1/5 — Absolute Scam

*2025-11-18*

Not only is it unusably inaccurate, but I tried it with my clients for a trial run (set up a business account) I have been trying to cancel for a year. They’ve charged me 550$ since I first emailed them to shut it down. I have too much automated on the card to just cancel it and have tried to resolve it with them. They start a customer service conversation and when I tell them the issue they disappear, seriously, they just don’t respond till I get someone new on the hook.

### 1/5 — Worked once and then stopped

*2025-11-17, version 5.5.0*

I was very excited first scan went great. Then it stopped working even after I purchased and annual plan. Now I’m out money and the app won’t even sign in.

### 1/5 — Wish I hadn’t paid for it!

*2025-11-09, version 5.5.0*

This app is soooo frustrating! My scans never process. I re- do them over and over again and still have issues. It’s not worth it- don’t waste your money

### 1/5 — App appears to be deprecated, though they still take your money

*2025-11-06, version 5.5.0*

Do not download this app! The scan processing does not work. It will get hung up for hours, and there’s no way to reset it so you can scan again. They have no in-app support and do not answer emails.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate

*2025-10-31, version 5.5.0*

I used to use the physical scanning pods all the time and they were great. The phone option gives disappointing inconsistent results. There has been a significant price hike to now use this service but the reliability to track progress is not there. I did a scan today and it didn’t capture my weight reduction - so I did the scan again with 3kg less weight - the measurements on many items were very different even though the scans happened within 30 mins of each other. With my weight reduction it said my body fat percentage increased. Sadly I can’t rely on this tool any more as the accuracy is too unreliable and I have used it less over the years due to the increased cost and poor performance. Wish the physical pods still existed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing Technology

*2024-11-25, version 5.5.0*

Excellent App it has really shown me where I am and the scans are high quality

### 5/5 — As expected, needs improvement

*2024-10-31, version 5.5.0*

I wanted this app to cut back on trying to measure myself for sewing. I would like to see in future, measurements for neck, back, width, back length. Thanks

### 5/5 — HONEST REVIEW

*2024-09-12, version 5.5.0*

don’t download if ur not willing to pay. You can’t do ANYTHING without buying “pro”. 🤦🏾‍♀️
(i only rated it a 5 so y’all can see it)

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2024-08-17, version 5.4.0*

I love this app! It really helps me see my progress and where my body is at. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Great motivator

*2024-06-16, version 5.3.0*

I’ve had some recent similar assessment at my gym holding onto a machine that sends electronic currents. The results weren’t very motivating considering 8 months of exercise.

But this app can see the changes that the gym machine didn’t pick up. I would definitely recommend.

I say this without having read in detail the privacy settings. I’m generally very relaxed about this aspect of life .. but if you’re more concerned about this I would recommend taking time to check this out.

Great app

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2024-05-19, version 5.2.2*

So honestly this app really helps with how I see my body, I love the compare option that really helps to see how far I have come

### 5/5 — Excellent Tool

*2024-04-30, version 5.2.2*

Strongly recommend this to anyone looking to shape themselves towards success.

### 5/5 — Very cool App

*2024-03-18, version 5.2.1*

I have had this app less than a month and I love it. It is really good to be able to actually see the progress I have made, that I cant see by just looking in the mirror. It is really good with helping motivation.

### 5/5 — Amazing app so helpful

*2024-03-11, version 5.2.1*

Amazing app to help me see my progress on my weight loss journey

### 5/5 — Seriously powerful stuff

*2024-03-04*

Really powerful information and statistics. Love the fact I can do unlimited scans and at the privacy of my home. Quite cheap if you do a scan per week. Love it
