### 1/5 — Genuinely horrid man

*2026-07-29, version 2.13*

I don’t understand how you charge this MUCH money monthly but can’t even provide a mediocre connection, how did you manage to get away with robbing the armed forces for this long, Jesus you people need to go, NOW

### 1/5 — AWFUL

*2026-07-21, version 2.13*

The absolute WORST WiFi company I’ve ever had. Terrible connections, slow connection, and somehow even worse maintenance it takes months to even get someone to come out and look at what’s wrong then they don’t even fix it

### 1/5 — Constant disconnects

*2026-07-12, version 2.13*

My devices constantly are disconnected during use, makes them basically unusable

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2026-07-06, version 2.13*

You’re better off just having an unlimited data plan and using a hotspot to run all your electronics. Internet speeds are super slow if they actually work at all. I have better connection with one bar of cell phone service than I do with full strength bingo Internet. Trash service that’s just a waste of money

### 1/5 — Pretty Sure This Is Theft

*2026-06-27, version 2.13*

If I could leave 0 stars I would, internet doesn’t stay connected and each device you want connected costs you extra. They are absolutely stealing from you… I expect a service I pay for to be reliable and function more then 10 minutes at a time, but 90% of the time this service WILL NOT FUNCTION. And you can spend upwards of an hour trying to reconnect just to get booted off again anywhere from 1-10 minutes later. Using this for your personal devices is bad enough especially if you’re gaming but don’t even think about using this for work it’s is wholly unreliable. They are stealing your money and every update does little to nothing to actually fix their issues… I feel as though they aren’t trying to fix their issues because this problem is recurrent… waste of money I’d rather (and will) use my phones personal hotspot to do literally everything… It may buffer but at least it doesn’t disconnect every few minutes.

### 1/5 — Never works

*2026-06-27, version 2.13*

Terrible service that constantly goes in and out. They do not offer any insight on the issue either, no update on when there is a problem or what the problem is or how long it’ll take to fix it. Poor customer service.

### 1/5 — If your seeing the reviews they are all right

*2026-06-24, version 2.12*

This WiFi is completely garbage it’s always down and it’s super slow. Not worth 74$ it’s worth like 5$ a month at most 😂

### 1/5 — Overpriced scam

*2026-06-20, version 2.12*

The wifi has been down for around 18 hours now with no update. What am I paying for? It upsets me that military personnel are forced to use this service and it angers me more that the government’s contract with boingo has recently been extended. Over priced garbage with poor service and a monopoly over the industry. I guarantee they will respond to this review with the same ai garbage they used on every other review.

### 1/5 — If there’s a way to give negative score I would

*2026-06-19, version 2.12*

I don’t know who runs this company but the Internet connection is absurdly bad and no one does anything about it.
It constantly disconnects and the latency is through the roof.
Please don’t get this Internet, there are other options available.

### 1/5 — Genuine scam forced on military personnel.

*2026-06-19, version 2.12*

Im writing this review after using this internet for a long time. I have been paying for 100mbs internet but am currently getting 0.86mbs. Literally less than a 1/100th of what im paying for. This internet has consistent outages, is super slow, and is extremely overpriced for what you get. I’d recommend your buildings Xfinity service or literally anything besides this

### 1/5 — Constant disconnection

*2026-06-14, version 2.12*

The WiFi constantly disconnects, I even have to remind it over and over that my phone is one of the paired devices!!

### 1/5 — Dumbfounded

*2026-06-13, version 2.12*

I’m honestly shocked by the lack of communication and understanding. The internet has been down since 3PM How hasn’t this issue been fixed in six hours?! Like what are we doing? You would think an update or something would be sent out but nope nothing. No customer support, no communication and the time it takes to fix the internet is frustrating and downright pathetic.

### 1/5 — Buns

*2026-06-13, version 2.12*

terrible internet provider

### 1/5 — Trash

*2026-05-28, version 2.12*

Tell me how my hotspot has a more reliable, faster, and more stable connection than Boingo on its best day (which is almost never due to it always being down). Two afghani men rubbing sticks together gives a better internet connection than Boingo

### 1/5 — Boingo WiFi

*2026-05-27, version 2.12*

I have never experienced a worse WiFi service, complete waste of money and time calling the support service, the WiFi is horrible and doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Terrible wifi

*2026-05-14, version 2.12*

The useless internet disconnects on every device constantly, WiFi’s already terrible to begin with and then you gotta deal with it disconnecting constantly. Honestly rather just stare at paint then deal with connecting to this wifi

### 1/5 — Don’t get this

*2026-05-06, version 2.12*

If there were a way to leave a zero start review, I would do it, this internet is down constantly, as a matter of fact, it’s down at the time of writing this. Heavens forbid you want to know what’s going on and how long it’d take to fix too. If you go to the website it’ll tell you it’s all working ship shape, if you call the number for “further support” a bot picks up and tells you they see you’re calling from an area where the WiFi is down and they tell you if you want updates check the website. The website that if you go to it, it tells you the internets working perfectly.

### 1/5 — your worst option

*2026-05-06, version 2.12*

too expensive and the wifi is garbage. constantly going out for days or hours without a warning

### 1/5 — Overpriced, biggest scam, and worst wifi of all time

*2026-05-05, version 2.12*

The fact that this is for military members is just sad they deserve better. WiFi is down 50% of the time but boingo will still charge you full price. WiFi is very slow when it does work and definitely not worth the price.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible internet

*2026-09-04, version 2.14*

It’s just so bad half the time it goes down or doesn’t even work

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-09-04, version 2.14*

Genuinely dog wifi plans with dog prices. My roommate added my device to his plan for another $10, and even though I cancelled my free wifi plan it doesn’t cancel till the end of the month. So I basically had him add me to his plan for $10 for a 1mbps plan for a month. If I could give a negative rating it’d be at -5 stars.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-08-24, version 2.14*

Terrible internet over priced then cut what I was paying for more than half claims to be fast but it’s false. Very trashy

### 1/5 — I don’t recommend

*2026-08-19, version 2.13*

This is the absolute worst wifi I’ve ever had. And for the price per month there are WAY better options out there it’s honestly ridiculous. Frequent outages, terrible download speeds, not even worth the money.

### 1/5 — It sucks

*2026-08-16, version 2.13*

I don’t make very much. But I need to pay $50+ every moth for a service that goes down consistently and refuses to help

### 1/5 — It’s gotten worse lately.

*2026-08-15, version 2.13*

Idk what it is but it has genuinely PLUMMETED worse lately. Beyond bottom of the barrel. Won’t even redirect you to the website anymore so it connects and just says “No internet connection” forever. You’ll have better internet connection if you just don’t use the internet. People use their data instead of using this. Mint mobile in rural mountainous regions would have better connection than this awful awful service. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — There is not a worse wifi i could even imagine

*2026-08-10, version 2.13*

Disconnects all the time, hard to reconnect, usually just doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Dont Buy, Complete Scam

*2026-08-05, version 2.13*

I bought Boingo In February, its been down 10 times since then, and its usually down for what feels like 4 hours. You had a rough day and want to play the game? Nope. Not only that, itll be giving you 50mbps and then all the sudden, youll drop to 500 kbps and literally cant do anything. You see these bad reviews and Boingo always responds with, just email us, and we understand your troubles. But they never actually do anything to fix it. Just spend the extra on Spectrum. Itll be worth it in the long run.

### 1/5 — Internet sucks

*2026-08-05, version 2.13*

This internet is so bad most days it makes the games unplayable, I call the help line and they always pick up and they usually help make it better for a couple hours before it starts to suck again, which is why it has one star not 0. I’d be fine with dealing with internet issues every day if the subscription wasn’t 75 dollars a month, it would be better bang for your buck if you literally just used your hotspot on your phone

### 1/5 — For if you love overpriced Wi-Fi with frequent outages

*2026-08-02, version 2.13*

I live on base at the current moment for AIT. Cant wait to graduate and move out because this provider is genuinely the worst. Not only do they provide awful quality service, it frequently goes as it pleases with little to no explanation. Boingo better thank the lord for the genius that signed their military contract and gave them the privilege to provide their potato ran WiFi network to our nations service members. If I could get a refund for the amount of time that my WiFi has been barely working or just straight up not working, I’d be paying at least half of what I pay now.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — GAMING

*2026-06-18, version 2.12*

Use it to play/talk/stream with no issues daily

### 5/5 — Boingo has gotten significantly faster

*2023-08-28*

Boingo has 3 networks usually, the base name (Wi-Fi), boing wireless, and boingo 5ghz, the 5ghz option works really well for me (the others are horrible) and for 80 bucks I typically see around 150 mbps which is more than what’s advertised but for the love of god please come up with a better system to connect your devices as i constantly have to sign back in and it’s really what breaks boingo from being a good service. Come up with a better system and bring faster speeds, every other company out there offers 100 mbps as the base option and 10mbps even being an option is embarrassing, bring 500mbps to the table and possibly some gig speeds as for a handful of bases it’s either boingo or cox and cox is expensive (with a contract) that’s out of most people’s budgets. I give 5 stars purely for the value of being able to move around but please fix it!!!!!

### 5/5 — great app for boingo on military bases

*2021-08-05, version 1.0*

this app is great if you have a boingo wi-fi subscription on a military base. much easier way to add devices. note this app is ONLY for people who live on military bases.

### 4/5 — Pretty decent

*2023-07-29, version 2.1*

The actually Wi-Fi works than our free Dorm Wi-Fi. My only issue is that I always have to go to settings and put it back on Boingo Wi-Fi since it disconnects each time I leave the room

### 3/5 — It’s decent WiFi

*2024-11-18*

It’s definitely not special. For $50 a month you can connect up to 3 devices on the network. That’s the cheapest option. The WiFi doesn’t even work on my phone period, it does however work on my PS5 and my laptop. It’s quick when it works, but it experiences tons of outages. I’ve been back on deployment for 4 months now and I have counted around 10+ outages. It may not seem like a lot, but these outages are often a couple of hours long. If you’re comfortable with that, then it’s a decent service. One thing I should mention is that if the weather is horrible, the WiFi will not go out. Snow, storms, etc, the WiFi still stands pretty strong. The outages seem like an internal issue rather than an external issue. Customer service is generally helpful if you need to speak with them.

### 3/5 — App won’t let me login

*2021-12-13, version 1.0*

When I go on the website everything is smooth but the app makes me login over and over again. It just needs some work🤙🏽

### 3/5 — Need more coverage

*2021-10-07, version 1.0*

It’s a good service, but I wish you guys had the service available for personnel at Schofield Barracks. That would be a big help

### 2/5 — Predatory

*2025-04-19*

The speed is okay. The thing that gets me is the pricing. $54 a month for meh internet on only 3 devices. This is simply robbery. They know the guys staying in these barracks don’t have other options so they’re just giving a garbage deal. Also, they rended my account inactive and their terrible website won’t let me re-activate it. Meaning that in order for me to use it for the short time I’m being forced to, I’d have to make a whole nother account for them to data harvest. If you’re in the barracks, I advise treating this as an absolute last resort. Get a starlink or something before this unless you’re only gonna be somewhere a few days.

### 2/5 — Fixing

*2025-04-14, version 2.7*

Apps ok I can’t cancel my plan from the app

### 2/5 — Goes out all the time

*2025-02-25, version 2.7*

fast when working but lame that the military forms force you to have it if you want internet at all.
