First, when imputing what my major is (forensics), there is no specific option for it. I went with the closest (criminal justice-law enforcement). Then, when asking what my dream career is (funeral home, forensics) there is no option. This worries me because I felt as if I won’t see scholarships that I’d be able to obtain. After this, when putting my mailing address (dallas,tx) the only “dallas” options were frisco and plano. I chose frisco hoping I would be able to edit it when entering the rest of my address but no. Once again, this makes me feel as if I won’t be able to find scholarships that I would be able to obtain and use. It felt like a waste of time and lost hope. Please fix this, or at least add an “other” option or allow people to insert their responses more freely. ### 1/5 — Not real. *2026-06-24, version 0.70.0* I’m not really sure where the good reviews are getting their information, but I’ve had Bold.org for well over a year now and spent countless hours writing scholarship essays and applying to all the different scholarships. Never did I even make it as a finalist and I had thousands of “Bold Points” that were connected to different purchases I made on websites where you can “earn Bold Points.” Today I logged on and it says I have 0 points. This app is really just as useless as all the other fake scholarship apps and you can count on never even being considered in any of the scholarships even if you’re an A average student with a 3.8 GPA. Just another thing we can waste valuable time on that pulls us away from our studies. I know I definitely won’t be using the app to add useless weight to my already heavy load as a full time student and single mom. I’ll just stick to FAFSA and my small business where time isn’t wasted. And then they send you emails saying to apply for “$50,000 scholarship” … you click and begin to all the same questions over and over just to end up apply to other scholarships and not the one you wanted. My goal was to find real opportunities that could help reduce my financial burden and make it easier for me to focus on school without constantly worrying about money. I hoped the app would make the process of finding and applying for scholarships simpler and more successful. One of the pros of the app is that it provides a wide range of scholarship listings in one place, which saves time compared to searching manually on different websites. It also makes it easier to apply quickly and stay updated on available opportunities. However, one major downside is that despite applying to over 40 scholarships through the app, I have not received any success so far. This has been very frustrating and discouraging, especially as an student already facing financial challenges. Some listings also feel very competitive, and there is not much guidance on how to improve applications or stand out. To improve the app, I would suggest adding more personalized scholarship matching based on user profiles, as well as feedback or tips on rejected applications so users can improve. It would also help to include more realistic opportunities with higher success rates or mentorship support for applicants.
