What’s going on? Logged out everyday, not showing historical bids, constantly “unable to connect” and unable show the current bidding prices, photos not loading. I’d just revert back, I know it cost a lot of time and money for you to do this upgrade but it’s worse than the old app. ### 2/5 — No Customer Service *2025-12-17* I have purchased with Bonhams several times and Customer Service in the United States is very good however, I just purchased something from overseas and I am not receiving any responses whatsoever. All is of interest and then you decide for yourself. Great customer service. Handles shipping of jewelry in house over 15 purchases in last several months. Moves right along. Have also bought beautiful pieces from live auctions in the UK for our daughter living there. Also from Bonhams Skinner in Boston. Fun to watch and learn because goes so quickly - informative! ### 2/5 — Usability Weaknesses *2024-12-09, version 2.26* The app front page presents a huge list of all Bonhams auctions around the word, many labelled with generic descriptions. The location of the auction is not shown here. This can require tedious scrolling and clicking back and forth, to find auctions in a specific place. Oddly there is no way to search for the location of your choice. And when you finally get to a generalist auction there is often no filter menu allowing you to pull up only items in the category you wish. I have found myself giving up in frustration and having go online, conduct a web search for my local Bonhams branch and search using the options there. Feels like the app is killing local branches off by making them impossible to find easily. Adding these obvious features should be relatively simple. ### 1/5 — Watch consignment. *2024-07-09* I sent pictures of a watch for an auction appraisal in May I received an acknowledgement that they got it and never received an appraisal it’s now July. I have called them and they said they someone will get back to me, I haven’t heard anything. Poor customer service. ### 1/5 — No filters *2024-07-02, version 2.23* It seems with no filters if you want to look at auctions your only option is have every auction in the world! And it takes ages to scroll through them all to find those in your location or subjects of interest ### 1/5 — The app is unusable *2024-06-03* Buggy. Many functions unusable. My first experience has been a disappointment. The 28% user charge is extremely high and the telephone listed for contact is on perpetual hold and then abrupt hang up without contact with a person. They do not provide a digital access interface for payment. I am unsure how to pay, unable to contact support and unlikely to use this auction house in the future. I am not interested and will never buy a lot from the US. ### 1/5 — Poor customer service *2023-03-09* Bonhams in New York City was very insensitive to the challenges of picking up purchased artworks in New York City. It was necessary to bring a car to pick up the works and I called an hour ahead of time to alert them that I was coming. I then called them again when I arrived outside the front door, and they kept me waiting for half an hour for someone to walk the pieces upstairs while I was illegally parked on the street. There should have been someone available to take five minutes to walk up to the street with my two artworks. ### 1/5 — Why can’t I sort auctions for location?! *2023-01-19, version 2.18* There is no obvious way to sort auctions for location. Why on earth not? The location is not even shown upfront for each auction so I have to click on the auction to find out where it is. You really need to improve the basic utility of your app, currently it does not reflect well on the firm. ### 1/5 — Cannot even create an account! *2022-12-13, version 2.18* As a new user I am unable to create an account on the iPhone as, once I enter my details, the ‘continue’ button is largely hidden by the bottom of the screen and it doesn’t scroll up. I deleted and downloaded again, the same problem persists. If I go to auctions menu from the website and try to load “24 more auctions”, I get the error “can’t load more auctions”. I used this app for years without a problem. My phone is OK because I can download other apps. Even after "unfollowing " them all. Do better! ### 1/5 — A poor App made worse *2026-04-10* Previous app made you go to another website to view condition report. That’s cumbersome but fine. Now this updated app forces you to have an email account linked to IOS to view it. Could not get answers about a lot I won for over a month. Avoid at all costs.
