I came across Bonjour and fell in love with its simplistic elegance. Then they updated it and made it easier to add links and groups. So simple that it’s SIMPLY GENIUS! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t keep local files if using profiles in Safari *2025-08-27* I have noticed this app doesn’t work using one’s own images if using different profiles in Safari. I started using profiles and now I get a blank black page instead of my images. I started using profiles right around the same time as the last major update a few months ago so I’m not sure if it’s a profile thing or related to the update. I’ll change this to 5 stars if it ever gets fixed. Please notice developers. ### 1/5 — It looks nice but then the dev had to associate it with AI *2024-03-07, version 19.0.0* I liked this extension quite a bit when I first used it because it does hit a lot of major tentpoles for me, but then I relized that one of the quote sources draws its material from an AI quote generator called Inspirobot. In my book this is absolutely unacceptable; software like Inspirobot trawls the internet and scrapes original content from sources it doesn't have the right to use and cobbles that content together into what it calls unique content. In reality it's theft and any piece of software -- any -- that engages in this sort of activity is complicit in the intellectual and proprietary theft of artwork that artists work hard to create. It's shameful and wrong. ### 1/5 — Won't Install Onto Safari *2023-01-15, version 1.15.5* I've downloaded this, clicked open, says "Bonjourr is not active, check Safari preferences!" I opened Safari and went to Safari preferences/extentions: nothing there. I'm using Safari 16.2 on a MBP/OSX 12. ### 2/5 — Love this extension but.. *2024-01-13, version 1.18.4* I have an M1Pro MBP and even on this machine, this extension slows Safari page loads and runs CPU usage up. Activity monitor clearly shows high CPU usage. If the author can fix this, then this extension would be perfect :) ### 2/5 — Something's Wrong *2023-03-28, version 1.16.2* It asks for permission to access my location every time I open the start page/home and I can't add it to location permissions because it's not a webpage. It also won't display the weather information even when I do allow my location to be used. Have used several on Chrome/variants but struggled for one that allowed home page and new tab on Safari. The fifth star could be gained by not asking for access ALL THE TIME and being able to better locate weather. It seems weather is located based on IP or provider equipment location instead of physical location. My only concern is that the dgital clock only shows the 24 hour clock for me and I've prefer the am/pm one. And yes, my Mac kpreference is set to the 12 your clock. Not a biggie, though, because I use the analog clock instead. Well done, guys!
