### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

No sound!!!

### 1/5 — No sound

*2022-08-17*

Just downloaded but there is no sound. Sound is working on other apps on my iPad so it’s not on silent. How can I fix or get a refund?

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2021-12-01*

This app has no sound.

### 1/5 — No audio

*2019-12-28*

I cannot get any sound unless the record function for playback is on and then it only lasts as long as the recording is on very frustrating

### 1/5 — Is not working

*2018-10-19*

Downloaded the app, but it will not work.

### 1/5 — No audio

*2018-06-17*

Still no audio even with update

**Developer response:** Please make sure that the device’s Silent Mode isn’t activated. Look for a side switch on the device and try to switch it back, or check the system’s Control Center. (Some apps still have sound even if Silent Mode is on.)

### 1/5 — No sound

*2018-02-28*

I downloaded this app today. Not only did the sound not work, it hosed my other game apps.

**Developer response:** Regarding sound: Please make sure that the device's Silent Mode isn't activated (look for a side switch or in the iPad's Control Center). (Some apps still have sound even if Silent Mode is on.)

### 3/5 — Good app until recent update

*2018-07-05*

As a speech-language pathologist, this is a handy app. The feature of showing tongue placement during production of speech sounds is helpful. However, since the most recent update the sound output seems to have disappeared. I’m looking forward to a fix for this change.

### 4/5 — It keeps closing out

*2018-03-15*

I think this will be a great app, however, it keeps closing out. I will get it open for about 20 seconds, enough to put two CV sounds together, and then the app closed. Frustrating! My kids really liked the frog though!

### 4/5 — Great help.

*2018-03-11*

Boo is great, my little boy really likes the app and is really engaged with it. He is trying to copy boo and how he says the sound and really likes the silly stuff he does. The only reason it’s not five stars is that the buttons are really tiny so we sometimes struggle to press them.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — No sound!

*2025-06-03*

If you have no sound on your iPad or iPhone, swipe down from top right to bring up the control centre, and ensure silent mode isn’t activated! Brilliant app for encouraging little ones to practice their sounds.

### 5/5 — Great, but need ALL vowels

*2024-06-27*

Can all American English vowel sounds be added please? I’m a speech therapist & could use all of them to show how the mouth shape changes for each vowel. It’s a really engaging app. Love the slow function. Thank you!

### 5/5 — SusieSpeech

Not only do I, as an SLP, love this app, but so do the children on my caseload! The graphics are appealing and the functions are beneficial. Today, one of my kids produced /p/ in imitation of Boo - the 1st discrete speech sound he's imitated!

### 5/5 — KatieSLP

*2018-06-01*

I absolutely love this app! It is great for young kids with articulation delays and apraxia of speech. It is engaging and funny and the kids love to imitate boo! I love the ability to change sounds anytime, turn the sound on and off as well as being able to slow down Boo’s speech if needed. The only thing that would make this better would be the ability to make CVC words as well.

### 5/5 — No audio coming out

*2018-02-05*

I downloaded this on my iPad and iPhone for our daughter. Despite my speakers working, no audio comes from the app. I can’t find any contact info for support. Happy to revise review if you can point me in the right direction to fix this issue.

**Developer response:** Please make sure that the device's Silent Mode isn't activated (look for a side switch or in the iPad's Control Center). (Some apps still have sound even if Silent Mode is on.)

### 5/5 — Great app for CAS and early readers!

*2017-11-29*

I am an SLP. I used this app today with one of my clients with CAS who is also learning to read and he responded really well. He identified sounds and produced them correctly in CV terms. Good app!
