But for some reason, owners decide to discount the board rather than develop a better software. I write everything I need to do and a separate shopping list. I will now be saving paper and still writing. Perfect. It would be better if I could erase individual parts of the writing on the pad instead of all of it at a time. That’s the missing star! Sometimes it doesn’t want to connect to the phone. Just turn it off and put them near each other to blue tooth. Patience is a virtue. The support team is very responsive, which is why this review didn’t get a 1-star. Pastor Starks ### 2/5 — Needs updated!! *2018-12-28, version 1.0.8* Super slow I got a boogie board sync because it looked like an easy replacement for paper. you write on it after turning it on and then push save and boom everything is on your phone. but was vary Easley disappointed. The app needs somethings it's incredibly slow at saving anything I have my phone just about sitting on the boogie board and still is taking 5-10 minutes to download pages that I saved. Then the app goes unresponsive and Im not able to do anything as its downloading pages. Sometimes I turn the boogie board on and it connects to my phone but the app does not recognize it. So lately I've been just force quiting the app in hopes everything work. I like the board It just works. However, this app is very buggy and crashes frequently. Now I am having nothing but problems. It crashes all the time, can’t connect with the bluetooth, I can’t seem to get it to work. I just sent an email to Boogie Board. I don’t know if this app needs an update or if my board has gone bad. I don’t think it is the board because when i connect it with usb to my computer it is fine. Maybe the bluetooth radio is bad, not sure. Like I said, it started out great. Please update ### 1/5 — Still BAD *2019-09-22, version 1.0.8* I can’t believe that it will be a YEAR since this app is non functioning! They should compensate customers for the purchase of boogie board. UPDATE: Still the same... How difficult would it be to fix this app for iOS? We’re not asking for new features, we just want to be able to sync the files. One job. To be fair, it works better on the iPad, but when I have the iPad, why would I use this anyway? There should have been more attention to phones. ### 1/5 — Disappointing Waste of time and money *2019-06-25, version 1.0.8* VERY disappointing!!! Seems simple enough... write, save, load to phone... BUT that would be great if the phone app actually recognized the board connection. Aside from being super slow when it did work, 9 time out of 10, it did not. Now iver the last month it just doesn’t recognize the board at all. I have deleted and downloaded the app multiple times, cleared the board, and NOTHING. The app just says board not connected - even though it does pick it up on the list to choose. Also the LIVE drawing is slow and actually does not match precisely what you draw on the board. Your curved strokes are shown as line segments on the screen. I have reset the device, deleted and reinstalled the app several times—everything I can think of. I got it to save a page once but I cannot replicate the conditions to get it to work again. It is becoming apparent that I just wasted a whole lot of money. We should all be sad when a good technology is lost forever because of a few “suits” not understanding anything except making 1000% profit. ### 5/5 — Brilliant *2017-07-02, version 1.0.4* This is the productivity tool I've been looking for (when matched with the hardware of the tablet of course) used it for a few weeks now and I love it ### 5/5 — Sketchy and comfortable *2016-06-21, version 1.0.4* I've tried stylus and tablets galore, and the Sync is the first that felt more like a sketch pad than anything else. The software is great for getting copies of my notes and storyboards and I like the simplicity of everything. The weight of the board is great and using it as a spree rate sketch pad in meetings with my tablet paired with a keyboard is like having two tablets ready for notes and reviews. The one feature I'd really like is a way to set rotated images when I sync, like defining where the bottom is, since I like to spin it around to whatever layout is comfortable. I do a lot of either flows (landscape) or details for mobile apps (portrait) so my sketches vary from page to page.
