I’m sorry I paid for pro — after reading the terms thoroughly (now that I unexpectedly like the app enough to want to make a cover), I’m terrified to try to use it for a novel cover. You’re only allowed non-profit use. That smacks of false advertising.

You expect us to use real money to buy credits. The absolute down side is, we don’t even get one single credit to make a cover. Add ads for us to watch and get credits or if we come on the app every day give us a credit. Add something besides using real money that would go towards rent, bills, food, etc. this is an absolute money grab.

I had good hopes for this one based off of the reviews. Not only were my very specific descriptions ignored, but the figures were incomplete and incorrect. One design had a way darker skin tone than described and the other was female and an even darker skin than the first one. And I specifically described my main character as Caucasian with light skin! 

Don’t waste your time with this app. Your time is too valuable.

You can use a brush to highlight the incorrect area, and then describe how to correct it. Another strategy is to layer the prompts—so first describe the layout, then skin tones, then background details, etc. We will use your feedback to improve the app :)

I had to buy a credit, just to try that AI cover thing, I already have my cover so I wanted to see what this app was and what it would do, and I told it my title of the book and the author name, as well as the description of the book, and it made some weird Latin or something cover that was not anything at all what I typed in.  So it just doesn’t work, you can try it yourself and it might work for you, but for me it just gave me a stupid Latin cover that had nothing to do with what I told it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ nice concept, though!
