Words of psalm 96A text only stanza 2 are wrong. I just assumed there would be vocals included, but this is only the instrumental track. It’s still helpful but I wish I would have known this before purchasing. I will say that they have done a pretty good job of correcting and improving this app and responding to the other reviews. Just search the Version History and you will see they have added tempo control, the ability to listen to all four parts or just the alto etc... They’ve also worked out the bugs for adding songs to the favorite list. Now, I’m really hoping they will consider adding a vocal option for those of us who would like to hear actual voices singing. ### 2/5 — Worked great on my 10.5 iPad until a day ago *2018-02-18, version 2.0.1* This app has been wonderful until it was updated for the 12.5 iPad. Now it keeps crashing. I hope this can be resolved soon. ### 4/5 — Great App! *2017-09-12, version 1.9.1* Nice job with this. Great for personal use and private devotion. Only suggestion: add the option to adjust the TEMPO for the musical files. Some of them are far too fast which makes it difficult to sing. It also cuts out the reflective element of the singing, if you're just barely keeping up with the racing tempo of the music. This app seems to fail at different times for unknown reasons. It would have 1 or 2 verses left in a psalm, and only play random notes. Seems like it just “poops out”. Completely closing the app, and restarting helps some of the time. I don't feel that it was worth the 10 dollars being that I could just have stayed on the psalter.org website and not be left alone by the developers. //////////!!!! I dropped my review to one star for you until I start seeing some improvements. ### 2/5 — Needs Work *2026-02-09* Previous search problem seems to be resolved but like another review said (a year ago), if one goes to another app and comes back to the Psalter app it lands on a different Psalm than where it was left and the app has to be closed, reopened, and find the Psalm again. Much appreciate the ability to separate the 4 part harmonies to learn them. ### 2/5 — Needs Work *2024-08-12* It’s fine if one is in a setting where there is a precentor and choices for psalms have already been made. The app *says* one may search for a tune but in reality, it does not work. One may not search by meter either. I’ve looked through the reviews that have been left and see none with any reply.
