I’ve been a huge reader my whole life, and in 2025 I stopped reading. Then I found Bookbear, and it’s so minimalistic, clean and easy to use. Great app overall, 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

캘린더가 겹쳐 메일로 문의 드렸었는데 바로 답장 주시고 며칠 안에 수정되어 업뎃도 해주셨어요ㅠㅠ깔끔한 디자인으로 독서기록하기 너무 좋고 빠른 대처도 너무 감사합니다 어플 고민하시는 분들 제가 다른 어플도 많이 써봤는데 이건 딱 필요한 기능만 있고 깔끔해서 최고입니다!!!

메일로도 답변 드린 바와 같이 디스플레이 확대(Zoom) 설정이 켜진 경우 공간이 좁아지며 토요일이 일요일과 겹쳐 보이는 현상을 확인했습니다.

알려주신 덕분에 원인을 빠르게 찾을 수 있었고,
해당 문제가 해결된 1.12.2 버전이 3월 14일에 배포 됐어요.
업데이트 하시고 본격적으로 북베어를 즐겨주세요.

I tried to log a book I finished reading only to not be able to find the book, or any other books by the author.

Thank you for your review.

A few days ago, the book search provider we rely on experienced a temporary outage, which caused all search results to come back empty for a short period of time. If you searched for your book during that window, that’s likely what happened.

Search should now be working normally again. To make the experience more reliable going forward, we’re expanding our book data sources to include both Google Books and Amazon, so issues like this are less likely to affect you in the future.

If you’re still unable to find the book, feel free to share the title with us and we’ll gladly look into it for you.

This app does not give you an option to update release dates. I am reading a book and the app says it was released in 1969. The book itself says otherwise. Other than that, awesome app!

Bookbear currently relies on external book databases such as Google Books for metadata like release dates, rather than maintaining our own catalog. Because of this, incorrect or outdated information can sometimes appear, and it isn’t something we can directly fix at the source.

That said, situations like this clearly show the limitations of relying on a single external provider. We’re actively looking into improving this by adding additional data sources, including Amazon where possible, and also considering allowing users to edit or override book metadata themselves for better accuracy.

독서 일력 기능만 있는 어플을 찾다가 다운 받았어요 딱 원하는 만큼의 기능이 있다는 것과 한눈에 보기 쉬운 직관적인 디자인인 것이 가장 마음에 들어요
다만 아직 책의 이미지 등 DB가 부족한 것 같고 자동 입력되는 책 정보 등에 오류도 있어요

책 표지 등은 직접 입력 가능해도 좋을 것 같아요
기타 사항들은 차츰 괜찮아 질거라 생각하고 쓸게요 :)

책 표지 이미지를 사용자가 직접 고르게 해주는 기능은 저희도 꼭 필요하다고 생각하고 있어요. 
검색 결과에 내가 읽는 표지가 없는 경우가 종종 생기기 때문에,
말씀하신대로 기능을 개선하면 전반적인 만족도가 크게 올라갈 것 같아요.

사실 책 이미지과 자동 입력 정보는 저희도 많이 아쉬운 부분이에요.
이 부분에 대해 간략히 설명을 드리자면,
도서 정보가 워낙 방대하다보니 개별적으로 관리하기에는 한계가 있고,
대형 도서 혹은 커머스 업체의 DB를 사용해야 하는데,
이 때 저희가 원하는 품질보다 떨어지는 경우가 종종 있어요.

이 문제를 해결하기 위해 의견을 주신 것처럼 사용자가 이미지를 선택하는 기능을 추가하거나,
다른 업체에서 DB를 제공하는지 꾸준히 알아보고 있습니다.

추후에는 아마존의 도서 정보 조회를 신청할 계획도 있는데,
아무래도 한국 도서의 정보는 상대적으로 부족할 것으로 예상이 되어,
다소 아쉬운 부분이 있어요.

말씀해주신 것처럼 아직은 부족한 점도 있지만,
시간이 지날수록 더 안정적이고 믿고 쓸 수 있는 독서 기록 앱이 될 수 있도록 꾸준히 다듬어 나가겠습니다.
