### 3/5 — Book Buddy

*2026-08-04, version 10.2.0*

Love this app.

### 4/5 — Need help!

*2026-08-03, version 10.2.0*

I LOVE this app-after I downloaded it and made the purchase, my wife also downloaded and bought the app. It’s a great way to keep track of your books and reading stats. My online gripe is that it does not accurately count the pages that are read. Example: it took 12 days for me to complete a book (longest book ever). I typically finish books out before the end of the month. This book carried over until August 1st. Because I finished the book August 1st, it assigned the entire page count to August 1st and I received no credit for pages read in that book for the previous month. There has to be a way to fix this….

### 4/5 — Good Tracker Overall

*2026-07-26, version 10.2.0*

I wanted an easy way to keep track of the books I’ve read and my rating. This is an easy way to track. The one downside that I found with the app is that you can’t add multiple “finished dates” on a single book. I like to track how many I read a year. Without this option, I have to have multiple entries of the same book

### 4/5 — Great App

*2026-07-24, version 10.2.0*

This is very helpful to keep up with your inventory. I would love to see a few updates: digital/physical/audio versions, books on order, TBR, wish list, currently reading/want to read/finished and even update opinions would be great options

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-07-21, version 10.2.0*

I am so impressed how easy it is to scan and also manually download books! I tried a couple other apps before I found this one and I wasn’t impressed. They were confusing. Thank you for this great app!

### 5/5 — Wish I had found this years ago

*2026-07-20, version 10.2.0*

I considered a number of options, but ultimately decided on this one. I have entered over 200 books so far, and am pleased with the process. About half the books are older, and must be entered manually. I recently discovered bulk editing is possible, so that will make the job a little faster going forward. I have noticed that when entering the isbn (rather than scanning a barcode) sometimes the publisher or other fields don’t match the book I have.

Searching online works reasonably well, except for older books. Recent versions show up, but almost everything needs to be adjusted- it’s easier just to enter manually

Suggestions
Some of my books have a library of congress number rather than an ISBN- it would be helpful if there was a place for that, and an option to use it instead.

Overall, I definitely recommend this app, and suggest you start using it right away, before you acquire any more books 🙂

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-20, version 10.2.0*

I got this to keep track of my books and E- books. I kept buying duplicate books. Now I no longer have that problem.
I love this app

### 5/5 — Alphabetical Order

*2026-07-17, version 10.2.0*

*And now I’m a 5 ⭐️* I really wish there was a way to put the books in alphabetical order by last name.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2026-07-14, version 10.2.0*

You do need to upgrade for a small fee but it’s not a subscription it’s just a one time charge and you can then proceed to catalog all of your books! The scanning works perfectly! Just all around awesome.

### 5/5 — The best book inventory app

*2026-07-01, version 10.1.3*

BookBuddy is a wonderful app and it allows for me to maintain a clean inventory for all of the books I own. Once in a while I need to manually add in a book that it doesn’t recognize, but it’s an easy task to do. I highly recommend the app.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-06-30, version 10.1.3*

I’ve been using this for a couple years now. Very easy to use. I have had maybe a handful not scan and need manual input. I will say I wish I could also track my book sub boxes with this! It would be so much easier

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2026-06-29, version 10.1.3*

I originally wanted a different app. The one I wanted does not show up on Apple App Store. This was top of the list as a close related app. Was disappointed that half my books I scanned. I had to go back and enter in manually anyways save yourself the time in trouble and just get Handy library from Google.

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-06-29, version 10.1.3*

Good

### 5/5 — Lost In The Chase

*2026-06-28, version 10.1.3*

I loved this book. Nicely written and definitely a page turner. I can’t wait to read the second one. Cover is beautiful!

### 5/5 — FANTASTIC APP

*2026-06-25, version 10.1.3*

I love this app - I can scan barcodes or enter ISBNs in manually, take photos of covers that don’t automatically apply, and even keep track of which books I’ve leant out. First 50 books are free to scan, then a one time and lifetime price for $10. I’m using this to keep track of my 300+ books and as evidence for any insurance needs!

### 4/5 — Great App

*2026-06-24, version 10.1.3*

I definitely would recommend this app for anyone looking to catalog their books and track their collections.
My only complaint would be that I have to manually create and add books to the “series” filter. This can be frustrating when you have large book series or a lot of different series. It would be nice if it would automatically gather this information online and create them for you. If they did an update that added that feature, this would easily be a 5* review for me!

### 4/5 — Just a thought

*2026-06-23, version 10.1.3*

Wish there was a way to delete more than one book at a time at one city when I do my DF my clearance out or go through my books

### 5/5 — Best app for personal library management

*2026-06-23, version 10.1.3*

Obsessed with this app and all the ways I can keep track of the books I own. I love the tag feature, changing how the books are sorted, the reading status, all of it. Amazing app!!

### 5/5 — Great Inventory Tool

*2026-06-22, version 10.1.3*

This app is my go-to for keeping inventory of my home library and those books I loan to others. I love all the filter features, ability to simply scan barcodes with my phone camera and have the books’ data automatically upload from the web including cover pictures, plus being able to find-tune presets and wanted/unwanted fields. The best part is being able to add individual titles or batches. You can’t ask for more!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — SCAM

*2026-07-14, version 10.2.0*

I have scanned over 20 books now and ZERO isbn info has been found. They have stolen my $9.99.

### 1/5 — 非常卡的软件

*2026-06-07*

要扫很多遍，然后还经常不成功，拉完了

### 1/5 — Very good

*2026-05-08, version 10.0.7*

You can buy it outright instead of a subscription. Annoying number of in-app alerts.

Update: it is asking for a review every time I complete an action in the app. I’ve updated my review to reflect this, as it renders the app unusable

### 1/5 — Paid app

*2026-01-18, version 10.0.4*

Wasn’t happy to start scanning and then be stopped at 50 books and forced to pay to continue.

### 1/5 — Has a limit

*2025-12-30, version 10.0.3*

You can only put 50 books before it tries to make you pay. Just another way to scam money out of people.

### 1/5 — Not for Older Books

*2025-11-10, version 10.0.0*

I collect vintage paperbacks 1975-1995 and this app does not work with those UPC codes. It only works with new books with ISBN codes on modern books.

### 1/5 — Péssimo

*2025-11-09*

Simplesmente não reconhece os livros procurados, tentei 5 e já apaguei o app. Não percam seu tempo com isso

### 1/5 — Can’t share with my spouse

*2025-10-11, version 9.8.2*

My husband has paid for the service and has scanned our library. But when I download the app to access OUR library, it wants me to pay and scan in everything again! Why do I need to pay $20 and then scan for both of us to access the same information! You need a household option!

### 1/5 — Não funciona

*2025-09-23*

Não encontra os livros por ISBN ou leitura de código de barras.

### 1/5 — Great app for tracking my reading and my future reads

*2025-07-22, version 9.8.1*

Love this app - has finally gotten me back to reading after a 15 year absence. would love to be able to add new reading status options if possible :)

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great little app

*2026-08-24, version 10.2.2*

I love this app as def helps me not only remember the authors I like but entering all books I read (or don’t complete as not enjoying them) I can check at a glance my rating. Only feature I would like added is Library to denote borrowed books. Currently I add Library in the Loaned To section.

### 5/5 — Best book tracker ever!!

*2026-08-21, version 10.2.2*

I have used BookBuddy for several years now, and it is an invaluable aid for me to keep track of the books that I purchased, check out and read, or simply want to have listed so that I can check them out later on. I use it mostly to record the books that I have in my collection that I intend to read or library books that I bring home and read. It also allows me to keep track of books. I may have loaned out or have donated. An absolutely stellar app to have on your phone. I recommend it to all my book reading friends.

### 5/5 — My Go To Library In My Pocket

*2026-08-15, version 10.2.2*

Never again do I have to get home to figure out whether or not I have a book in my TBR library. The whole list is in my pocket and easy to use. I love the scan barcode feature for adding books.

### 5/5 — Love It

*2026-08-13, version 10.2.2*

This is a fast and easy way to keep track of your books !

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2026-08-09, version 10.2.0*

I’ve been using the bookbuddy app for about 4-6 months now and I absolutely love it! This app has some great features such as: being scanning books into app by barcode, having read/unread/unfinished options, making tags for books and sectioning books by author, genre, etc… I use this app daily and love being able to view all my titles on my phone, makes it super easy when I go out and purchase other books. I am constantly recommending this app to everyone I know that reads!

### 5/5 — Best Tracking App Hands Down! 😍😍

*2026-08-02, version 10.2.0*

I just recently got back into reading after many years of not picking up a single book. For me buying books and reading are two separate hobbies, I tend to buy Kindle books, physical books and Audiobooks, to the point that it was getting really hard not to buy duplicate books. I was looking for an App that would help me keep track of all my books and OMG this App does exactly that!
I first started creating four categories (Kindle, Audiobooks , Physical and Kindle Borrowed), then I started adding my Audiobooks (you can add as many details as you want, like Narrators, tags, notes, etc), then proceeded with Kindle and then with the Physical Books (this was the most exciting as you can scan the barcodes one by one or multiple at the same time). Now I have a list of all my books, it has an option to “Pick a Random Book” if you wanna make your next read a surprise. You can organize by Series, the Volume # (which helps me identify the series that I have incomplete) .
I also paid the $10 for the lifetime membership (best money spent). Yes, it took me a bit longer to add all of the books (since I had many Audiobooks and Kindle) but the Physical (all 96 of them, only took me less than 1 hour). Overall I have 200 books 😬 and now Im going to build my Wishlists for the books that I would like to get in the future.
If you’re looking for a Book Tracker to keep yourself organized, this is the ONE!

### 5/5 — Intuitive

*2026-08-01, version 10.2.0*

I gave up on another app (I actually paid for it) it was difficult to use and could not find any "how to" instructions. Bought this one and it is SO EASY to add books!! A+A+A I love this app!

### 5/5 — Love this app
