I’ve used other booking apps in the past, and they were not as easy to use and as much of a time saver as BookedIn has been. My clients all really like the fact that they get reminders of their appointments days before their appointments, and I can keep track of what I am doing each day. Would definitely recommend! I do all the bookings. I do not let them book appointments, but that’s OK. Their product is simple to use and interfaces seamlessly with my website. I no longer have to endure the back and forth with clients to find a session time. They can see my availability and schedule a time that works best with their schedule. Additionally, client information and notes about their session can be captured at the time of booking. Lifesaving… ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worst booking app *2026-05-06, version 1.95.0* This is the worst booking app on the market. I started using it a year ago and all was fine until they admitted their software doesn’t support apples new updates. It straight up does not work now. I have 7 months worth of bookings I need to transfer to a competitor now. $48 a month for something that seems to work 10% of the time. ### 1/5 — Seems to glitch at times and cancel appts *2025-07-30* App can be great but then can also freeze, glitch and cancel appointments without notice. Your disappointment is completely valid, and our team in Bookedin considers feedback like yours to ensure our pricing structure meets the needs of our loyal customers. ### 1/5 — Removed best feature to make us pay more? *2024-08-06* Taking away the ‘Activity’ access when it’s the main reason most of us use this booking program. How does it make sense to remove that function when we are paying for the ability to easily access what clients are booking/cancelling? Many of us are using the ‘solo’ option because we don’t need more than one calendar and we don’t have employees. Just up the ‘solo’ rate if your company is struggling with money so we know up front what we are paying for and notify us first…. taking away features we picked this booking program specifically for is not professional and doesn’t feel safe. We have invested in your app and have important dates with clients and information we need for months and months, and it feels like it would be safer to use a different booking program that will not be randomly adjusted to force users to pay more to ‘unlock’ features they ALREADY HAD. Transitioning these bookings into a safer app before closing out the existing is very time consuming, and tracking payments properly for deposits after losing the Bookedin app’s record is extremely unprofessional to work through. There was a better way for your company to do this….i loved this app, but now I feel your company is untrustworthy. **Developer response:** The activity view is now restored and we’d like to apologize for the frustrations caused here. Unreal. There’s no justifying that. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your precious time *2022-02-12, version 1.43.0* Not the best app, I have yet to find one that isn’t confusing and infuriatingly frustrating to try and set up. There’s zero helpful information on the app or website and no customer service. I wasn’t even able to verify my email for cryin out loud! A total waste of my precious time! I think I’ll just stick to doing it all myself. ### 1/5 — Not good for contractors and service co’s *2021-06-17, version 1.29.0* Unless you are scheduling exact appointment times this app is not for you, we have arrival window appointments Talked to Geno from their support who offered a patch work around, which would involve scheduling a break of sorts, not what we wanted appointment schilling app can’t wrap their mind around how some of us can’t offer exact arrival time is lazy. Customers who reach out to us via Yelp can get their confirmation via Yelp and yelp was able to implement a check mark that allows to select arrival window and from drop down you choose how many hours 1, 2, 3, or 4 Yelp a review app gets it!!!!! appointment scheduling app doesn’t smh .... you had one job lol ### 1/5 — Must appointment apps charge *2021-04-27* I am getting this a very low rating because I find it dumb that appointment apps charge sooo much to book services that others provide. The “basic” plan only allows 5 appointments a month and doesn’t send text reminders unless you have the expensive plan which is $600 annually that I absolutely would not pay for. Wish it didn’t waste my time and make me fill all my business info out just to find out it was not free. Very disappointed but I know for a fact there’s a bunch of apps out there doing the same. In that time we’ve utilized this for online bookings, booking reminders via text and email for our clients and on the go bookings and calendar syncing. Originally we chose Bookedin because we didn’t like the idea of other booking systems that shared your client lists with others by passing them onto other barber and stylists when your calendar was fully booked. Now, after 4 years we continue to renew and stick with Bookedin because they are honest, supportive and quick to respond. When something goes wrong (system outage - text provider outage) they notify us usually before we notice and give a realistic timeline on a fix, then go back and explain what happened and what they are doing to fix it going forward. Beyond that we don’t go many months between email requests asking how it’s going, do we need anything or have suggestions. Customers who want percing can take appointmnt by them self, so we save a lot of time. Text reminder for appointment is really usefull. It save me monet cause I had to pay someone to do it before. I like the way I can manage my calendar and CRM. I have pro plan, I have a button on my social media page and the booked in page has my company name.
