It takes a very long time to load as well. Because functionality it is a good app to use for what it says it’s for only if it works correctly. Company I work for has been using it for a while however the same issues still remain. ### 1/5 — PLEASE FIX THIS APP *2022-06-20, version 4.2.27* Please issue an update for this app. I already have an account and it keeps trying to get me to create a new one. Signing in isn’t an option. It won’t even let me reset my password. It just takes me to a create profile screen. After the first few jobs I booked , the icons stayed on “searching” and just froze. I contacted BookedOut several times with no response. It should be noted that I did the basics myself to remedy this ( restart phone , delete and reinstall app). No customer service. No help. I wish my company would not use this app. Complaining to company. ### 4/5 — Can’t remove campaigns *2021-02-12, version 4.2.10* With this new update I am unable to remove campaigns and it’s annoying me. I click remove and then get to the next window where ask why and I am unable to submit the reason and be removed. Very annoying because I have about 5 campaigns I want to remove and I can’t! Other than that, everything functions the same for me. ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2020-12-23, version 4.2.8* Good app just the fact that the location is sometimes off ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever Created *2020-01-08, version 4.2.8* I downloaded the app and it has said there are no events in my area which is untrue because I kept the app on my phone for an additional year and there were still 0 events in my area despite me filling out all required information. ### 1/5 — Broken *2019-11-08, version 4.2.8* Broken Often. The app doesn't work so now I can't book a job through an agency I have been working with since 2010!! The app keeps crashing every time I click on the photo button so I have deleted and re-downloaded this over a dozen times since they launched it. I was originally approved but somewhere along the way that disappeared as did a bunch of documents I uploaded and the some of the brands that I listed I worked for keep changing on its own even after I saved it! I used to see gigs in my area when the app first launched but it's been over a year and I haven't been reproved or seen any gigs. Tech support was no help they said there must not be any gigs in my area but I live in downtown Los Angeles so that can't be true at all. This app is just terrible and there should be a web version so that I can continue working for the same agency I have been with for over 7yrs! Update: This app just keeps getting worse with every update! I’m seeing that I have been booked but can not access the info pertaining to the events. This app just freezes after logging in then crashes completely! I have requested that the agencies send an email confirmation but none have done so. I could be a no call no show because I have no idea who booked me or where and when I need to be somewhere! This is absolutely ridiculous!! I am furious that I can’t access any info through this app and there is no alternative scheduling system provided! Update: I allow this app to continue to take up Realestate on my phone as I had a good run getting booked and had to use it to check in/out of gigs. Unfortunately there continues to be one problem after another and tech support rarely reply’s to emails. I’ve come to realize now that I’m living in a fantasy thinking it will someday improve. I’ve had an event coordinator call me about a job I’ve declined as it showed differently their end. I’ve also received multiple emails and text from an agency that uses this app trying to recruit me for a campaign that I removed myself from on the app. Today when I changed my status from unavailable to available the job disappeared from the app no where to be found. This explains why I haven’t been booked for a year through this app. ### 1/5 — Can’t even sign up *2018-08-01, version 4.2.1* I’ve tried signing multiple times and have tried using multiple different emails and it still doesn’t let me sign up. There is a bug within the app that needs to be fixed. ### 1/5 — Needs Improvement *2018-02-23, version 4.2* BookedOut is the prime example of an application that was not ready to be rolled out and also designed by individuals who are not necessarily aware of how their well meant ideas actually play out in real life scenarios. This application consistently crashes or just plain does not work. Support which should really be called “Support” because when these issues are brought to their attention they advise you to delete and re-download the application does not actually seem capable of delivering the technical assistance needed to make this application run as it is intended [or run at all for that matter]. I would like to see the following improvements by the time Version 20.2 rolls out. -Notifications Fixed: currently I always have a red notification on the application icon even when there is nothing new to respond to -Streamline Events: the interface in which the campaign and events are presented is not easy to read and the current sorting menu is more of a headache than a help. Perhaps tabs where users could pick the view of events they want to see [Example: Submitted, Accepted, Not Available] would be easier. -Photo Uploads: Absolutely ridiculous and archaic that an application in this day and age can only handle one photo upload at a time. -Photo Visibility: All parties who worked an event should have access to the photos from that event. This would prevent duplicate photos from being uploaded. This also allows the event lead/manager to remove poor quality photos uploaded by other members when necessary. ### 1/5 — Hate the new logo *2018-02-03, version 4.2* The new logo is horrible. You could at the very least give it a color. Being black and white with just some abstract thing on it gives the user no indication of what the app even is. Going back to the blue and white would be somewhat helpful, but overall you should rethink this altogether. The app itself has always sucked, btw. I hate when agencies use this app for their booking. ### 1/5 — Upgrade, crashing, never works *2017-11-30, version 4.0* This app is terrible. Always crashes while I’m using it, takes forever to load, the scheduling aspect is somewhat confusing and clustered. And it always says I have to upgrade the app to open it so it automatically takes me to the App Store but I’ve already upgraded! Annoying. If I didn’t have to use this app I wouldn’t. ### 2/5 — Ridiculous *2017-11-30, version 3.8.0* I have several stories about this app but I'm not sure there's enough room to type in everything I might just have to create an app to tell you. OK so let's just start with the latest when I open the app it says you have an update available I tapped update it takes me to the App Store but the App Store says open which means there aren't any updates so I hit open it takes me back to the BookedOut app that's looks all blurred and won't do anything and every time I try to reopen it is the same exact thing over and over again ### 2/5 — Upgrade *2017-11-29, version 4.0* App says I need to download the upgrade in order to use it but there is no upgrade available to download. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Works worse than it did in 2017 *2024-08-26, version 4.7.2* I’ve unfortunately had to use this app for work since 2017. Back in 2017 it worked about 30% of the time. Now, 2024, with full service AND WiFi this app works AT BEST 15% of the time! ### 1/5 — slow!!! *2024-07-21, version 4.7.1* always times out. Huge waste of time very inefficient very slow. ### 1/5 — The Worst Tool *2023-04-19, version 4.2.33* system updates and enhancements usually cause more problems than fixes . It constantly crashes and then in April 2022, it just went down. It’s now October 2022, the events that load aren’t even ones I’m staffed on, and I can only ever see my events on the app after the events have occurred. The people at BookedOut don’t seem bothered by the fact the app doesn’t work. They just tell us to “update” the app which I have done multiple times without it actually fixing anything. Not sure why we still use this, it accomplishes nothing. ### 1/5 — So many problems *2022-10-12, version 4.2.31* I have to email booked out at least once a month for issues. It never works correctly. There are so many bugs and they always seem to be working on them, but they are NEVER fixed. ### 1/5 — Why even bother? *2022-09-12, version 4.2.31* I have NEVER had a successful event submission with this app and I’ve used it for several events I get booked through the company I work for as an independent contractor. It’s glitchy. I submit everything and have to screenshot every answer and then send those to my contact because I know I’m going to get an email 2 weeks after said event that states I “missed” questions or submissions. What is the point of even continuing to have this app active? It’s god awful. I wish so badly that we could use something else and that I could have direct contact with BookedOut’s customer support so I could screenshot them all the stuff the app says I clearly submitted to prove to them the email is wrong. ### 1/5 — This app never works *2022-08-10, version 4.2.30* The app doesn’t load available events or events that you are scheduled for. Tech support is nonexistent. I cannot retrieve important information about the upcoming shifts I am scheduled for. Even though I'm completely new to the app I absolutely love the options and flexibility of finding a second income. I work weekdays Monday - Friday from 8-4 so I don't have too much time on my hands to find a second job, but with this app I can search for jobs on the weekend and make some extra money without conflicting with my primary schedule. You have the potential to make tons of money with the different tours and also meet connections and life long friends. Yeah it takes a few weeks (3 weeks with direct deposit) to pay..
