The screen was locked. The screen was half black and half Bookful and I tried to turn it off and on please fix it developer. Please notice my review. I hope you find this useful if you ever got glitch too. ### 4/5 — Great game, only if you pay money 🙁 *2023-10-16* So I saw this game and I was like, “ Wow this is perfect! “ so I begged my mom, and guess what? All that so the game could ask me to pay. I have a few free books, but the rest is locked only if I pay! :( Barely any books are in access, and that makes me upset. I am wondering if you could at least add some more books that are free? Thanks ### 2/5 — I cannot load the books on my iPad *2023-09-13* I am on an automatic renewal for the Bookful app and my granddaughters love the books. But I have not, for the past several months been able to load any of the books on my iPad which has system 16.6.1. In fact, the app freezes my iPad, so that I must restart it to even access any other apps. Can you please explain the problem? He gets super excited while reading. The only thing I don’t like is that it seems there is no way to add a second profile for my other child. I have it set for my 7 year old but cannot add my almost 4 year old. It total keeps my kids attention with the interactive books, games, and AR features. Only con I have is it said compatible with my iPad mini 3 but it isn’t. Due tj all of the problems we had with the app I was told you all would extend our subscription until January of 2022 however it still says October 2021 under our subscriptions. When I email you all all the last says is to submit another ticket?! Nogna Livne?? I need our subscription to reflect the extension you all said you would give without more multiple emails or contact?! Can you contact me directly please?! It’s hard to even sign in on anything other than my iPhone because on any other device it won’t even let me type in my email, it keeps giving her level 4 books which are way too hard for her and it won’t let me change it to an easier level, it won’t even let her scroll through all the books and it drains my iPhone battery BAD. Good concept but the developers need to make the app more stable. On an iPhone 12 Update: still crashes. I love the app and paid the subscription , but can you spend some time working on stability? They used to get so annoyed when I would call them to read their books! NO MORE! And seeing each word light up helps them recognize the words so much easier. When they go back and read it themselves they don’t get frustrated. But I cannot for the lifetime figure out how to search for books or titles. Also the interest needs more category. After he's done with each book he's supposed to have the option to complete the quiz that way he can work on his comprehension but unfortunately that doesn't happen. The app points out that he hasn't completed any quiz from the 94 books he has read so far but HOW COULD HE if the app doesn't give him the choice???? This is so frustrating!! ### 1/5 — Pay for play *2021-05-08, version 3.7.0* I wasn’t able to see anything about this app before they asked wanted me to sign up for a no obligation trial. I didn’t hit next cause that always means enter your credit card and we expect you to remember to cancel the subscription before we charge you for an annual membership. I thought my kid would really enjoy this but never got to even try it with him. ### 1/5 — Religious content and other questionable content *2021-03-07, version 3.5.0* Our enjoyment of this beautiful app has been shattered. The book of genesis? Thomas and Friends and the fat controller? It’s clear nobody is paying attention to this content. If I had known there was religious content i would have NEVER bought this at a $60 price tag. I contacted the app but they are at no obligation to correct this. Just be warned you are buying this app without the benefit of a filter for the books. So disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone who is not Christian. Only used it onetime because i forget the password. Try to reset password so many time but it won’t let me. Contact customer service million time they canyeven help me. I wasted my money for this app. Paid $45 for nothing. I won’t recommend this app or just incase you better right your passwors or else you pay for nothing. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2020-11-02, version 3.2.2* I’m very disappointed in how expensive this app is. Using this for a child is just ridiculous to charge that for a children’s app. There should be at least a few free books to try out before purchasing. I understand there’s a trial period but working in sales I know exactly what happens is people forget to cancel and then are hit with the charge. That’s crazy. $10-15/mont I’d pay. But not $60+! There are no free features on this app don’t waste your time ### 1/5 — Not compatible *2020-09-07, version 3.1.0* Super disappointed with the device support for this app. I ended up paying for the year subscription thinking I could use this on both my phone and kid’s iPad. Nope. Very small and frustrating on the phone and not compatible with the iPad we have. I have the most recent software update. Seriously don’t give these idiots your hard earned money. They literally emailed me and tried to justify the cost of the app which didn’t make any sense at all. The subscription fee exists so that the authors, illustrators, filmmakers, and narrators of these books can get paid for their work. ### 1/5 — Not happy *2020-06-08, version 2.6.0* We were not happy with this app at all. I have 2 boys, 5 and 6, who are beginning readers who love to read. This app kept freezing in different parts. We couldn’t even get a single book to read all the way through. They tried a “game” to spell words in the book they tried to read. They had to spell words from bus to excited. What 6 year old knows how to spell excited? The only part of the “park” that they did like was the coloring and painting, which is not what I got this for. I asked if they wanted to keep it and they both said NO. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Sad *2020-05-08, version 2.5.9* I tried the free book to see if I even wanted to do the free trial and never loaded I have two kids at home a 4 year old and a dilslexic teenager I thought this might be good can’t add different learning levels for multiple ages so I thought well I can create two accounts but not for that price I could see 5.00 a month then I could do it I guess not was hoping this would have been a good option😔 ### 1/5 — Don’t even do a “trial” *2020-04-28, version 2.5.8* There are three ways to purchase this app: monthly, annual, or forever subscription. They offer a “free trial,” but only if you select the annual subscription. But, when I attempted to cancel within the seven day trial, I found out that they billed me the first day. There was no trial. It’s a scam! Lassi. Bait and switch. What’s worse, the app is terrible. My son hates it! You can’t adjust it to reflect reading level. Everything is crammed in one very busy library that small children find overwhelming. Don’t purchase it, don’t even “try it.” There is no such thing. **Developer response:** Hello! They will sit for hours reading the stories and playing some of the games. They are very close in age and enjoy showing each other the new books they have discovered. The selection is amazing. Bookful has many interactive books based on popular and well-known children’s shows like PJ Masks, Peppa Pig, My Little Pony, Sesame Street, etc., but we also enjoy discovering new books/series/songs. You interact with the books by tapping icons found in the pictures, finding things, or answering quiz questions, all of which trigger animation sequences. Bookful has more than just books.
