## What is bookrot?

bookrot turns reading into the key that unlocks your phone.

Pick the apps that eat your day — social, games, whatever pulls you in — and bookrot keeps them locked. Read public-domain classics and bank minutes you can spend on the apps you blocked. When your earned time runs out, the apps lock again until you earn more.

HOW IT WORKS
- Choose the apps to block using Apple Screen Time.
- Read classics — Pride and Prejudice, Moby-Dick, Frankenstein, Sherlock Holmes and hundreds more, all included.
- Earn screen-time minutes as you read.
- Spend those minutes on your blocked apps. Run out, and they lock again.

FEATURES
- A library of 300+ public-domain books with covers and summaries
- Scroll to earn screen time while reading
- Daily reading streaks, progress tracking, and an excerpt of the day
- Bionic reading, light/dark themes, and an immersive reader
- Built on Apple Screen Time / Family Controls — reading progress and your blocked-app selections stay on your device

SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED
bookrot requires a subscription to unlock the app and its screen-time earning features:
- Yearly — US $29.99/year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers
- Monthly — US $2.99/month

Prices vary by country or region. Your local price and any eligible trial are shown before purchase. After the free trial, the yearly subscription automatically renews at the displayed annual price unless canceled.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or after an eligible free trial ends. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Restore existing purchases from the paywall or Settings.
