Sometimes it takes 30 seconds to a minute to finally read the barcode, and other times it doesn’t work at all and I have to manually enter the book. Saved me from buying duplicate volumes many times. Also the batch scanning makes updating my collections much faster than what I used to have to do. It keeps everything in the shelves I like and allows me to enter multiple reading dates. The only thing I would like to see added is when I add a new reading date I’d like to be able to track the page with that new date and would like to show that date on the main page. They both have had this app for years. I have lots of books, a few hundred, and it’s charging $80 for the lifetime membership, or monthly or weekly subscription fee’s. The main reason we liked this app in particular was the fact that it was free and had the scanner option to add the books. Sad to have to find different app after spending all that time scanning 100 books for it put a pay wall up. ### 1/5 — Annoying subscription *2026-08-06, version 1.19.19* The app itself seems great, and I was very excited to be able to catalog all my books. However, after spending around two hours scanning my books, it randomly tells me that I need to pay for the subscription in order to add more than 100 books to your library. This is incredibly frustrating as not being able to catalog all my books basically makes this app useless to me, and I really don't think that $60 is worth it at all for the permanent paid version. Again, if this wasn't an issue this app would be great. I have tried several times to add books and after 100 books the app tries to force me to get the pro version in order continue adding books. You can rate the books you have read, organize them and it’s super easy to add your books to. You just scan the barcode into your phone and it uploads everything for you.
