Signing in just got easier for young readers.

• Learners now sign in with their username and a 4 digit PIN. No more passwords to remember or type.
• Set or change each learner's PIN from their profile in account mode.
• You can now change a learner's username. The old name is freed instantly and nobody gets signed out.
• A cleaner, calmer profile creation screen with live checklists.
• Clearer messages when a sign in does not work, plus many small fixes.

One thing to do after updating: set a PIN for each learner from their profile, then share it with them. Anyone already signed in stays signed in.

### 2.0.23 — 2026-08-12

New in this update:

• Tap a learner on your This Week list to see their week at a glance: points, streak, freezes, lessons and every badge they have earned
• Setting a learner's password is much clearer: a live checklist ticks off each requirement as you type, and error messages now explain exactly what to fix
• Families returning to Bookworm are guided to set a new password for each learner, right from the account home
• Search the help section: type a word and jump straight to the answer, now covering study plans and reminders too
• Fixed the app getting stuck on a loading screen. If something fails to load you now see a clear message with a retry button, and the app quietly fixes itself when your connection returns
• A gentle heads up when a newer version of Bookworm is ready in the store
• Usernames now appear with @ everywhere, plus lots of small polish across the app

Bug Fixes:
Profile passwords. Setting a learner's password now shows the full live requirement checklist (8+ characters, capital, number, special character, no spaces) and blocks submission until every rule passes, in profile creation too.
