It did not find the last book I read. Granted it was a young adult book, but I enjoy them as a former school librarian and belong to a book club at the public library that reads them. 2. I need something that tracks my reading in more detail for my Read Challenge for the American Cancer Society for the month of August. ### 3/5 — Has promise *2025-05-10, version 3.3.30* I want to love this app. But so many books are missing and it’s annoying. One day of having it I am a little obsessed. Dressing a worm? Hello? Brilliant. I have tried a lot of book tracking apps and this one has been my favourite. The only issue I have had is it crashing every now and then, but not often enough to be a nuisance. I love that it is a whole community, where you can see the questions people have asked and the answers. Any and anything appears in the feed and it’s refreshing to see everyone’s wormy reviews. Love this app! ### 5/5 — Amazing UI, terrible bugs *2024-07-06* I want to use this app so bad because it’s the only one that leans so visual AND gives you confetti when you finish a book, but there are so many obnoxious bugs that pretty much ruin the experience. ### 3/5 — Very cool and fun *2024-05-31* I like the layout and design of the app, it’s very colorful and fun. I also like the whole worm aspect which makes the app feel less stale than most book tracking apps. However, there is a heavy social aspect which is cool but there’s no option to go private or just simply not partake in the social media part. I’m not a huge fan of sharing my opinions to everyone and having it appear on a timeline where others can see it just because I’m afraid of having my review be so exposed and open to comments from anyone (which is probably PTSD from twitter). However, I haven’t seen any major hatred/fighting on the app because the community is so positive and new, so this fear is mostly irrational. I would still like the ability to go private, at the very least in reviews or book ratings. I also don’t think I’ll ever use the book club feature, but that’s to be seen in the future. I understand there is Goodreads… but this is FUN, cute, honest, customizable, and is clearly growing not only in features but community. You can’t really build out your backlog, any books you mark as complete will be marked as read in your current calendar year with seemingly no way of changing it. So just updating books you’ve read in the past will completely throw off any reading challenges you set for yourself in-app ### 1/5 — Wanted to give more stars *2026-02-02, version 3.4.3* Love the idea - as someone who knows they should read more, I sought out an app to motivate me to read more and landed on this. Whilst it is a little clunky - loved it at first. Unfortunately, books don’t always appear on the shelves when you add them or don’t show, even if the ‘number of books’ reflect the existence of the book on the shelf, it’s just not visible. Good effort but needs more work to iron out glitches. I want to add this app to my youth group (200 children) but don’t feel I can due to glitch ### 1/5 — Not so ethical to paywall content written by users *2025-02-18, version 3.3.27* So this app claims it’s better than GoodRead, yet the first thing I see is that it set up paywall for you to see book review content written by its users. How is that “better” than goodread? I don’t think self claiming “indie” justifies this👎🏻 ### 1/5 — Cannot Permanently Delete Profile, Even After Reaching Out To Support *2024-12-15, version 3.3.27* I attempted, three times, to delete my profile to no avail. I reached out to the Bookworm Reads support team, and got no response. ### 1/5 — Looks like a fun app, but I can’t sign up *2023-12-16, version 3.3.3* Only way to sign up is via the app, and the Accept terms button isn’t clickable on an iPhone SE. You can scroll down and see the button, but the page just scrolls back up to the top. ### 2/5 — Meh.. nice for the vibrancy *2026-04-22, version 3.4.4* The app constantly glitches or fails to show my full shelves, sometimes for days at a time until it randomly works again. It is a nice colorful app but beyond that, very poor software and not functional for exports or tracking. ### 2/5 — Seems nice but not accessible. *2024-02-16* I am legally blind and on the hunt for a book tracker and journal app to write my thoughts about the audio books I read. This app seems really cool but doesn’t play very well with voiceover— the screen reader can read the screen and buttons pretty well but I I’ll not let you select the buttons.
