The only reason I downloaded the app was to opt out, not only does it not have that option readily available the app funnels you to sign up again and request your property manager to sign others up, as if I am very happy with their services. I tried paying through Apple Pay and card, support told me to delete the app and reinstall…. 5 days later and same issue. ### 1/5 — The jury is out *2026-08-19, version 3.7.0* I’ve been using BoomPay for about a month, and unfortunately, my experience with their customer service has been absolutely atrocious. The only way to communicate with customer service is through the chat within the app, and responses can take hours—or sometimes a day or two. Even worse, when they do respond, they often don’t fully answer the question. I’ve spent countless messages reiterating the same questions, re-explaining the situation, and going back and forth without getting a straightforward answer. I’m specifically trying to verify two rent payments and find out when those payments will be reported to the credit bureaus. I can’t get a clear confirmation of the payment amounts, verification status, or reporting dates. There are currently two rent payments that still aren’t showing on my credit report. There is a phone number specifically for reporting-related questions where you can leave a voicemail. I left a voicemail nearly two weeks ago and have yet to receive a call back. For a service whose primary selling point is helping customers report rent payments to the credit bureaus, the lack of transparency is extremely frustrating. There are no email confirmations telling you when a payment has been verified or when it has been reported. At one point, I was essentially told to just monitor my credit report and see when it appears. That is not acceptable customer service. I shouldn’t have to chase a company for basic information about payments that are supposed to be reported on my behalf. BoomPay may have a useful concept, but the customer-service experience and lack of communication have been extremely disappointing.
