There is nowhere that I saw in the documentation upfront that said that if you did not pay your rent directly through a bank account you would not be able to use the app. ### 5/5 — Excellent App and Overall Reporting Service *2026-05-17, version 3.7.0* For years Boom has had a huge positive imoact of increasing both my overall Vantage score and length of credit history for FICO score purposes. Boom has been a great app for helping renters build credit by reporting rent payments. The customer support team is excellent, very professional, and responds quickly. They were very helpful throughout the process and made everything simple and clear. It is not easy to find companies with this level of service and attention to detail. Teams like this are the ones that truly stand out and succeed. I messaged the live chat (extremely fast response) and was told that I needed to manually upload the payment proof. I just wish I could’ve been told this and got it done way earlier. So It’s really hard to find time to get ahold of places during normal 9-5 hours. Like I said I tried the live chat and connected with Marco. He was extremely patient and allowed me to send him the proof and he didn’t rush at alI. While at work it took probably over an hour or two to get it all ready and sent. He reassured me from the start he’d still be there and once I was done he sent it instantly. Patience goes a long way and earns loyal customers. After that, I was able to get about three years of rental payments reported as a credit line. I recommend this app and if you don’t see the reporting linked right away, definitely email the support team! ### 3/5 — Doesn’t generate monthly statements *2026-04-07, version 3.6.0* App works great, and they provide every service they offer. Only issue is with going through underwriting to acquire a mortgage. The underwriting team for my lenders needs supporting documents from this account since it’s reported to my credit report. The only reason I downloaded the app was to opt out, not only does it not have that option readily available the app funnels you to sign up again and request your property manager to sign others up, as if I am very happy with their services. Y asi todos los meses debes recordarles, y sino reclamas seguro solo te robaran. ### 1/5 — Won’t sync to my proper account, and customer service doesn’t exist *2026-04-13, version 3.6.0* When I link Boom to my bank through Plaid, Boom can only “see” one of my bank accounts with that bank… and it’s not the one I pay rent through. I have checked from the Plaid portal and it sees all my accounts, so the problem is definitely on Boom’s end. Meanwhile I can’t contact Boom customer service. The mobile app is a janky piece of craappolllla, and there’s no web browser access. Forget this company, deleted the app already. This was a waste of an hour of my time. Delete delete delete! ### 1/5 — D *2026-04-07, version 3.6.0* Do not fall for this scam app. Their app is filled with issues to correctly and legally complete it. I had several issues that I had to contact their help desk for just to set up the account. Some of their advice to complete it was invasive to privacy and illegal. When I chose to finally delete my account (the next day after signing up) their process to get refund was unable to be completed due to more problems with how their app was set up. I wouldn’t let a company that can’t even set their app up correctly, have access to so much of my personal data and bank account info.
