However, this is way different. This is time back during your daily life. The gas is delivered to your car while you work, with very little effort on your part (set it up, forget it until 5pm). ### 5/5 — A year since I’ve been to a gas station *2019-04-01, version 14.2* Booster is so clearly how getting your gas should’ve been built from the start. Of course, an effortless mobile app is a modern invention and Booster has nailed it. This is such a clear disruption to an established industry. It only works if your vehicle is accessible and parked for many hours consistently in the same space. Not having to go to the gas station is such a blessing and I smile every time I get the text message indicating that my tank has been filled. The prices are right in line with the gas stations near me which I consider to be a huge bonus. And there are very few gas stations near my office and my home. Booster to the rescue. With a minimum amount of pre-planning, I can get a full tank without shlepping to a gas station. I’m not even sure of the last time I went to a gas station. I don’t miss the times I’d jump in my car to head to work in the A.M. only to realize I need gas -which was potentially going to make me late. Or having to stop at the station in bad weather -what a pain! I like all the add ons too. There is one add on that I wish was available and it’s the windshield wiper fluid that melts frost and ice. App runs hot! *2018-10-31, version 13.0* For some reason running this app on an iPhone XS heats up the phone quickly until you leave the app. I have no idea what it’s doing in the background, but clearly something is eating CPU. Otherwise, this is a good app and great service! Sometimes the driver can’t find your car despite the pin accuracy, but on the 2nd go around they usually get it. ### 5/5 — Makes my life so much easier!!! *2018-10-18, version v12.10.1* So wish I would have thought of this great idea. A so welcomed service for all of my travel needs in the Bay Area. $3.88 a gallon is very doable in the Bay Area, not wonderful like Oregon or Nevada but one can dream sometimes. Also, you have option for a couple dollars more to have your windshield cleaned, your tires inflated and for $49, your windshield wipers changed out. Thanks Booster!! An errand has been eliminated! I haven’t been to the gas stations in months which has saved both time and vulnerable situations. I’ve been using Booster for over 8 months and it has become an integral part of how I manage my refueling process. It’s great knowing I no longer have to deal with this mundane but required task. What sets this company apart is their attention to detail, from the app request to the ultimate delivery and confirmation. This company truly cares about their customers and it shows. I haven’t been to a gas station in months and I love it. I never have to think about my gas tank because of booster and as a working mom, it is just another amazing thing that I can outsource. Saves me so much time and prices are competitive enough for me to be 100% happy to use the service over and over again. I can typically place an order when I get to work before 8am and I’m filled up before noon. Maybe on the busy days a little later but rarely does it go all the way to the 4:30 mark. Today I was filled up within 15 minutes of booking my fuel, so clearly their system is real time and updating the drivers routes constantly. Super efficient! Now I’m a forever customer. The prices are comparable to our area (little more expensive but I’m willing to pay for the convenience) and you can earn free gas. Effortlessly request fuel from your desk in the office and go about your day. Until you get that Lovely message that you do not have to go the the pump and fill up on your own after work, while fighting traffic. Highly recommend this service and using the app to use the service. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — They sell you cheap gasoline at most expensive local chevron price *2020-03-07, version 17.4* The gas you get is not from top tier gas producers like chevron shell, 76. They make money by selling low quality gasoline at a price matching most expensive local top tier gas station. If you drive a good car, be careful quality of their gas. It is not worthy the headache in the future. Also in case they are not honest, they can load premium fuel tank with regular fuel. Their pump scale can’t easily be checked and sealed by weight and measure because they don’t stay at one location. ### 1/5 — Bait & Switch *2018-11-01, version 13.0* Service is convenient • however they tell you that get life referral credit for brining people to the service and they don’t actually honor it. Then they make change to the referral program as they are entitled to do, but the people who are already referred ( that you are supposed to get lifetime credit for ) do not get counted towards the new program. Love how convenient it is • but I have to be able to trust the companies I do business with to honor their word. ### 1/5 — Won’t use again *2018-08-30, version 12.2* I only used this service for the first 30 day promo period. Yes it’s convenient and it was cheaper for the promo period. Now all the promo codes to save have expired, except for the 1 cent tank door cover discount. I will not use again because: 1. It’s cheaper for me to get gas near my home 2. I didn’t receive the open tank door discount, even though every time my tank door was open. I believe that if you’re going to give a discount then you should honor it. ### 2/5 — Not what it used to be *2018-05-08, version 11.5* While the convenience is nice, the cost has gone from the low end to the high end of the current rate. Which makes me think twice. Also, they really should consider a frequent user discount, like buy 10x get $0.10/gal off. You can get a reduced rate now, but only through referring someone. But they work with businesses, so anyone new they could service already knows about it. So that’s pretty useless. The app is easy to use, and the people are nice. ### 2/5 — 10am cut off time is the deal breaker *2018-02-20, version 9.8* I used to love this service, and I don’t mind paying extra few cents per gallon for the convenience. However, they charge $1 more if you order after 10am. Most people in tech come in around/after 10am. I feel I’m being penalized for being on time. What’s even worse is in the latest update it disables the ability to order if you’re not at the location. This makes the 10am cut off time impossible. They’re trying to get more money from the customers aggressively. Can get it .30 cents gallon cheaper elsewhere. Convince not worth the price hike. Update: Responded they take the average in the region, but the why were all the gas stations locally .20 cheaper, and the one I went to was .30. Obviously you changed the formula you use, because your prices are well over the areas gas stations. Numbers don’t lie. People do. Lost a star for a BS response ### 3/5 — Better notifications and service hybrids *2019-04-30, version 14.4* Mostly fine, but they didn’t service my hybrid and didn’t notify me. I get a million emails from them, but not one to notify me that they can’t work with hybrids anymore. I contacted support and they said they’d text me if I opt in, but I don’t need 10 million texts in addition to the emails. Also - lots of people have hybrids, please find a way to fill them. ### 3/5 — Just so-so *2018-04-17, version 11.3* I found out about this through a work promo, so signed up for the promo price of ¢60 off per gallon on the first three fills. Have only done one and am not super impressed so far. They sent me a text saying they couldn’t find my car, so I had to hike out to the parking lot (it’s a 15 min round trip walk, because the normal lot at work is being renovated). The marker was only about ten feet off, and I have a very recognizable car (in fact it is the only green corolla at my workplace, and one of three green cars, so if they drove by at all they should have seen it) so it was frustrating to waste time for that. The convenience is nice, but the non-promo prices are expensive! There’s a gas station near my apartment that’s about ¢30 cheaper per gallon. With the promo right now it’s worth it, and it might be good if I’m in a time crunch in the future, but i don’t think it will be a regular deal for me. ### 3/5 — Was great at first... *2018-01-06, version 9.3* I work in Lewisville Tx. The first year of having Booster was fantastic. The prices were always lower than any gas station I was near (both at work and home), but after we went through an all over rise in gas prices, I feel it’s never been the same. More often than not, Booster prices are .10 cents or more higher. And I’ve even seen where it was closer to .20 cents higher. I don’t understand why. For me, that’s too much of a price difference so I’m back to going to the gas station. I also haven’t seen the Booster truck in the parking lot in a long time, makes me wonder how many others have stopped as well. I’ve deleted the app so I no longer check prices. There was a tiny amount of fuel spilled on my car a day after it was washed and waxed.. tiny amount and they credited me $10 so whatever. Our company has been subsidizing the fuel during coronavirus so we don’t have to go to gas stations with possible exposure. Without the $1 off per gallon it wouldn’t be as awesome but the convenience is still sweet, haven’t been to a gas station in months except for some longer trips during the weekend. I noticed he used a special cloth to prevent spillage onto the vehicle or ground. I was very impressed because it not only protects my paint if gasoline happen to spill but more importantly the environment. Of course he didn’t spill a drop but it’s nice to know that they take good care when filling my tank. ### 5/5 — Great service *2020-04-10, version 17.5* Reliable service. It’s one less stop on my way home from work, it’s no extra money out of my pocket and SO SO convenient. I woke up to low tire pressure one morning and tried to fill them myself but the gas station I pulled up to didn’t have a gauge on the air hose and I wasn’t about to deal with it. Luckily, I just added it to my Booster order that day and came back to my car with filled tires. It's been a great experience and will support it. The app was easy to use and when i had a question if they offer detailing as well, i rec'd a response within 24 hrs. As what they advertised, i leave my tank cover open and they do the rest while i'm working. I get notified when they filled up my requests and they send me a copy of my billed amount. Their price seems to be in the middle when compared to the surrounding gas stations so this company is saving me time & less stress. I will be utilizing the service especially on rainy days & winter season. The owner of this company had a great idea developing this for someone like me who has some movement disability.
