## What is Boppa?

Turn any website into a native audio player.

Boppa is an open source music player that puts you in control of where your music comes from. Instead of a fixed catalog, Boppa uses media sources, small shareable configs that teach the app how to search, browse, and play music from a given site. Add a source and Boppa turns it into a real native player, with lock screen controls, background playback, and a proper queue.

Boppa comes with Internet Archive built in, its catalog is powered by a free, public API. You can start browsing and streaming right away. Want more? Add sources shared by the community, or build your own with Boppa's open documentation.

Features:
- Native playback experience for any supported site, with lock screen and Control Center controls
- Search, browse artists, and explore full discographies
- Save tracks and albums to your library, with likes and playlists
- Background audio and queue management
- Add and manage media sources right from Settings
- Fully open source, no ads, no hidden catalog

Boppa doesn't host or sell any music. Every source you use is one you chose to add. Free, open, and built for people who want their music player to work the way they do.
