## What is BopQuiz?

This game challenges your music knowledge, whether you're playing alone or competing with friends. All you need is an active Apple Music subscription.

Navigate your way to the top of the international leaderboards, engage in thrilling duels, or outshine your friends in local multiplayer matches!
Explore a vast selection of playlists, pick your favorite and dive right in.

*Single Player*
In the Single Player mode you go for the top spots on the international leaderboards - You have to be correct, but also fast!

There are 5 modes to choose from: Guess the title, artist, release year or start at the beginning of the song. 
In the Bople mode you start with just 1 second. Can you name the title with only that small snippet?
You are shown four possible answers, but only one is correct.

*Multiplayer*

BopSesh: Only the host needs an Apple Music subscription! The others can download the app, join the session on their own device and use it as a remote. 
Select a playlist, start the game and tap the correct answer as quickly as possible.

Classic: This mode is designed for the couch, train rides, or any gathering where you have a few friends for a local showdown.
Simply input the names of your friends and rivals, set the rules, and kick off the game. Only one device needed!
A song plays, and the first person who knows the artist, the title, or both hits the buzzer. Quickly provide an answer and the leaderboard updates.
Play the songs and discover who holds the title of the ultimate music nerd among you!

*Duel*
Challenge a friend to an asynchronous match in the Duel mode. You take turns selecting and playing playlists. 
After five playlists, you can declare the champion - until the next duel begins!

I tried to make this app work.  I wanted it to work.  I really did. But I ran into dead ends each step of the way.

The game is pretty cool. Ive played it with my family a few times and at first had no problem. But then, when we tried to play together with one of the playlists i created myself, it kept freezing and would only let the host guess. Overall great game, just wish we could all play together using custom playlists.

We love this game for multiplayer mode. We’re newer to playing it, but we love that the playlists are based on what we listen to on our Apple Music. The one issue we have is that anytime we go to play the Daily Bop the third song always stops like a half a second into it and we just have to take a wild guess. Besides that though this game is wonderful!!

The issue is by design I think: It's a mode where you have to guess the title with only 1 second of the song playing to make it harder. With the buttons above the multiple choices, you can extend it up to 3 seconds. The last ones are always songs which you heard the most from your library, so I bet you guessed some of them correctly even though you didn't know it was a mode :)

We paid for the lifetime thing and we are now trying to get out money back there’s this bug where you literally cannot choose an answer it doesn’t let you

My friends and I love playing this game, but when hosting a game it will not connect and start the game. We need to restart the app multiple times to get it to work. When it does work I love this game!

Try the new version (2.2) again, it should run way smoother and stable now and I added more information if something is going the wrong way.

The app is great but the sometimes the song doesn’t play at all and I have to guess with no audio. Other times it guesses for me and chooses the correct one but I get no points. One time while I was choosing modes it chose the wrong mode despite me choosing a different option. I would rate it 5 starts if it worked.

It’s fun, the full versions are reasonably priced, and it’s nice to play against my own playlist for once. It’d be five stars if the weird multiplayer bugs didn’t exist

So I downloaded this for me and my friend and it works great! There’s no ads and almost no glitches. The only thing that is ruining it for me is that when I’m about halfway through a round, it loads and it doesn’t stop. And I can’t exit; I can only close the app.

That does sound really annoying though, but I hope I have implemented a fix. I completely reworked the Music Player logic, so the songs should be loading correctly now (plus the dismiss-button is enabled now should this happen again). If it doesn't work please let me know!

Sometimes when I do one of the quizzes, my app freezes for a split second, which makes the anticheat think I paused the song.

The details were helpful though, I have changed the logic a bit and put in a delay before it gets flagged as cheating. I hope it works now, the update is live now :) Let me know if it still is a problem.

Ay this turned out to be a big one! What's new this time..

- A new mode for single player and duels: Guess the release year of a song. 
Select a year between 1900-2026 and check if you are correct. The points are calculated by how close you were and how difficult the range was.
- A new selection option: BopMix! (..yes, I will keep using these names) Select your favourites out of a set of curated genres and their hits, choose which modes you like to play and guess the songs! The new Year-mode can also be used.
- A similar logic applies to your own library in the MmmyyBop mode. Both can be found right in the main view.

- Duels has points and different modes now too!
 - The game design got a big update. Titles of playlists and songs are now more readable, the multiple choice cells more beautiful and the menus look modernised. DailyBop and BopSesh UI are also updated. The UX got some improvements too. I think you will like it :)
