The game is pretty cool. Ive played it with my family a few times and at first had no problem. But then, when we tried to play together with one of the playlists i created myself, it kept freezing and would only let the host guess. Overall great game, just wish we could all play together using custom playlists.

It’s fun, the full versions are reasonably priced, and it’s nice to play against my own playlist for once. It’d be five stars if the weird multiplayer bugs didn’t exist

So I downloaded this for me and my friend and it works great! There’s no ads and almost no glitches. The only thing that is ruining it for me is that when I’m about halfway through a round, it loads and it doesn’t stop. And I can’t exit; I can only close the app.

That does sound really annoying though, but I hope I have implemented a fix. I completely reworked the Music Player logic, so the songs should be loading correctly now (plus the dismiss-button is enabled now should this happen again). If it doesn't work please let me know!

Sometimes when I do one of the quizzes, my app freezes for a split second, which makes the anticheat think I paused the song.

**Developer response:** Hi there SpunkyWhale, thanks for the feedback and sorry for the inconvenience! 
The details were helpful though, I have changed the logic a bit and put in a delay before it gets flagged as cheating. I hope it works now, the update is live now :) Let me know if it still is a problem.

This is an awesome concept for an app, and I’m loving it so far. I love the fact that I can just link my Apple Music and have it play songs from my own personal playlists. One slight problem I’ve been having is that sometimes the song doesn’t play and then I just have to guess what the answer is. Other than that, the app works great!

EDIT: I looked further into the app, and it looks like there’s currently a 100 song cap for playlists, and all of my playlists are above that, so I guess the app just didn’t load those songs. Still, to have a larger song amount limit would be nice in the future.

This is by far the best guess the song game ever! Everything is amazing! Recently I’ve ran into an issue, it says “not your username” where my original username was and I’ve lost all my tickets. I’ve deleted the game for a few months and got it back today still says the same thing. Please fix this for me, I absolutely love this app and I would love to keep playing.

The issue you're describing happens to just a few users and I'm working on fixing it. In most cases it will perish after a sign-out and sign-in or a redownload of the app. 
I'm doin my best and happily so with such a nice feedback :)

This app really is great and there’s a huge playlist selection! I don’t know if it’s a bug on my end or something with the app but whenever i’m in a duel and click on the album to play or pick a new playlist the entire app freezes. the only way to fix it is by closing the app out entirely and loading back in… every single time. idk if it’s my phone or the app but it’s still fun just wish I didn’t have to do it everytime 😭

I tried to make this app work.  I wanted it to work.  I really did. But I ran into dead ends each step of the way.

Songs don’t play at all, never have.

It looks like the issue came from a bug when playing songs from your library that aren’t shared on Apple Music. I have reworked the library playlist logic and now they should be showing and playing correctly. Please give it a try, the update is live already :)

where is my username? How do I add friends.. makes no sense. Don’t know how to use the app should show how to add friends when you first get on the app.

**Developer response:** You set your username before you start your first game. You can add your first friend right on the main screen in the first row or in the user view that you can access via the button that looks like a person in the upper right. Let me know if you can sort it out!

How is that a one star rating though? Is this how we are treating each other nowadays? This is a one man show, some things are therefore missing or can be a bit buggy, but I try my best here. Such a response can have a big impact for us developers, as a one star rating is dragging down the average a lot. Please consider this next time you rate work of strangers.

I want to love this app. It has a great UI and it’s very simplistic and user friendly. However, I paid for the All-Access Pass as well as the Apple Music Integration Pass and it won’t play song snippets like it says you can, even with the setting turned on. Additionally, I can’t even play the single-player mode because it wants you to create a username, and when I try to submit the username, it seems like the submit button doesn’t even work. Every other aspect of this app is solid, but considering that I can’t even play single-player mode and the multiplayer mode won’t play random snippets from a song, the app is just pointless for me; as there is no difference from just starting a random playlist on Apple Music or Spotify and guessing the song and skipping to the next and repeating that.

Paid for the £1.99 for the months all access to the game. Freezes constantly, doesn’t allow you to play online against people as says username taken and when you do actually get a username that works every time you click lets go, it takes you back to the username page. Also everytime I exit the app I have to click restore purchases after every reload only to find I can only play multiplayer and half the time even that doesn’t work. If you sorted these issues it would be a great game. If these problems are fixed then I’ll happily change the rating.

Original answer: Oh man I am sorry to hear that! I will look into it and hopefully ship a fix with the next update. 
If the app is usable again for you, send me your username, either here, in the feedback section in the app or per mail and I extend the Access Pass.
Also if you happen to delete your "Sign in with Apple" account in the process, send me a message to malte.schoppe@icloud.com so we can work this out.

I don't want to include a lot of analytics for crashes and freezes as they collect a lot of user-data, so I don't know about issues like this until somebody reports them. I hope you understand.

Multiplayer Modus konnte nicht gestartet werden. Zweite Runde Single Player mit eigener Playlist konnte trotz Tickets nicht gestartet werden…

Grundsätzlich kann ich das auch immer empfehlen, denn Bugs kommen leider vor. Die meisten Entwickler, besonders von Indie-Apps, sind froh auf Fehler hingewiesen zu werden und meist sehr bemüht den Usern ein angenehmes Erlebnis zu bieten :)

When I tried to play the game, it wouldn't play the music. 
This has happened every time and every time it wastes my tickets. 
Would love to play this game but need this bug fixed ASAP.

**Developer response:** Hi Kai, thanks for letting me know! This bug has not been reported until now, and I don't have a clue as to why this is happening yet, but I will look into it right away.
If you could tell me some things here as a review edit, via mail (malte@bopquiz.app) or as feedback inside the app, I can narrow down the problem a bit.

1. It happened from the start, you could never even play a game? 
2. Do the possible answers show up or is the just the vinyl LP or a loading indicator on top, but nothing happens all? 
3. If you open the control center from the top, is there a song from the quiz or one from your last music session inside the main Apple Music app?
Any help is appreciated! :)

Sorry for this annoying bug, I hope I can fix it asap!

My friends and I love playing this game, but when hosting a game it will not connect and start the game. We need to restart the app multiple times to get it to work. When it does work I love this game!

Try the new version (2.2) again, it should run way smoother and stable now and I added more information if something is going the wrong way.

The app is great but the sometimes the song doesn’t play at all and I have to guess with no audio. Other times it guesses for me and chooses the correct one but I get no points. One time while I was choosing modes it chose the wrong mode despite me choosing a different option. I would rate it 5 starts if it worked.

We love this game for multiplayer mode. We’re newer to playing it, but we love that the playlists are based on what we listen to on our Apple Music. The one issue we have is that anytime we go to play the Daily Bop the third song always stops like a half a second into it and we just have to take a wild guess. Besides that though this game is wonderful!!

The issue is by design I think: It's a mode where you have to guess the title with only 1 second of the song playing to make it harder. With the buttons above the multiple choices, you can extend it up to 3 seconds. The last ones are always songs which you heard the most from your library, so I bet you guessed some of them correctly even though you didn't know it was a mode :)

Mir gefallen die App und die Rubriken sehr gut; die App ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Und immer wieder spannend, sich selbst zu testen, wie viel Musikwissen man wirklich hat, in unterschiedlichen Genres. Gegeneinander macht genauso viel Spaß, immer wieder abwechslungsreich! :) hab dadurch auch coole neue Songs und auch alte wiederentdeckt

Super cool, macht so viel Spaß und es wird nie langweilig, da immer wieder neue aktuelle Songs dazukommen und man sich mit anderen battlen kann.
Das Design und die Details gefallen mir deutlich besser als bei anderen Songquiz-Spielen. :)

Update 5/1/24: Still having this bug and I really miss this game! I check every few weeks to see if it’s fixed. Please fix this!! I really love this game and I miss it so much! Username still says “not your username” and still have no tickets. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled, signed out but it won’t let me sign back in. I close the app and it brings me back to the home page and I’m “logged” in with the “not your username”. Please please please fix this!!!

Update 5/3/24: I’m so sorry it’s still there! Another User had this problem too and could get to a solution by deleting their account in the settings of the app (please make sure you close the app via swipe up beforehand). After that you can make a new account. Please try and let me know your new username via the in-app feedback section or via mail to (Malte.schoppe@icloud.com) if it works so I can set you up with a full pass. If it doesn’t work there is maybe another solution, let me know via one of those contact channels. 
Again I‘m sorry! But the other person found a way, so I hope we can fix it now :)

Bringt super viel Spaß und man lernt neue Songs kennen :)

In den meisten Fällen ist ein aus- und wieder einloggen in den Settings in der App (per Zahnrad-Icon aufrufen) ausreichend um den Fehler zu beheben. Falls das nicht der Fall ist, schreib gerne der Support-Mail oder in der App eine Feedback Nachricht mit deinem Usernamen, damit ich mir das ganze anschauen kann. 

Tut mir Leid für die Umstände, das Problem ist mir bekannt, aber leider habe ich es nur reduzieren aber nicht beheben können.
Danke für den Support auch per Kauf, weiß ich zu schätzen :)
