## What is Borderz?

Borderz is a small, free app that does one thing well: it puts a clean, adjustable border around your photo.

A photo in a frame reads differently than a photo on its own. Museums have known this for centuries — a mat or border isn't decoration, it's what turns an image into something you'd stop and look at. Borderz brings that idea to the photo in your pocket, in three taps.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Pick a photo. Borderz opens straight to your library — no setup, no account.
2. Frame it. Choose Square or Original, drag the border width, and pick a color. The preview updates instantly as you adjust.
3. Share it. Export at Low, Medium, or High resolution and send it to Photos, Messages, Instagram, or anywhere else.

• Square — your photo centered on a square canvas, ready for the grid
• Original — the border grows around your photo while keeping its exact aspect ratio

MAKE IT YOURS

• Border width from a hairline to a wide gallery mat, with live preview
• Eight preset colors — white, black, cream, and five accents

• One-tap reset to start over

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your photos never leave your device. There is no Borderz server, no account, no analytics, no ads. The app asks for photo access only to let you choose a picture and save the finished one.

COMPLETELY FREE

No subscription, no in-app purchases, no locked features. Every tool is available to everyone from the first open.

SMART CAPTIONS

- Three layouts: Auto (full-width text under your photo), Split (two captions — perfect for a location on the left, date on the right), and Free (slide your caption anywhere with offset sliders)
- Text sizes itself automatically to fit your photo — then fine-tune it with the font size slider
- Four typefaces: Sans, Serif, Rounded, and Mono
- Text colors picked from your photo, automatic contrast, or any custom color
- Center Photo option keeps your photo perfectly centered when a caption is added


MORE GOODNESS

- Tap the preview to view it fullscreen — pinch to zoom
- Border color suggestions sampled from your photo
- Refreshed editor layout: fixed preview with controls that scroll beneath it
