Boreas is an offline-first nautical chart and cruising companion for the Turkish and Mediterranean coasts. Built for boaters, sailors and anglers — even with no signal, your chart, route and safety alerts stay with you.

### 1.0.11 — 2026-09-01

Boreas now asks where you are. Opening the chart asks for your location and shows your own coast instead of the Sea of Marmara. Decline, and you can pick your region yourself.

Two things for winter: a warning the evening before strong wind is forecast where your boat lies, and a record of the dated gear aboard - flares, life raft, extinguisher, insurance.

When no calm day is coming it no longer just says so: it names the quietest stretch with its real wind and leaves the call to you.

Also: points with no sea-state data no longer render as flat calm, and subscribing no longer asks you to make an account first.

### 1.0.9 — 2026-08-04

Boreas no longer guesses where your voyage starts. Ask for a route while ashore and it asks where the boat is leaving from, offering the berths on the chart around you - and it remembers your answer.

The weather no longer says you are offline when you are not. If the forecast cannot be fetched, Boreas says why, shows how old the reading is, and lets you try again.

Your subscription now follows your account, not your phone. Sign in on a new device and Pro comes back on its own - no trip through the paywall.

Your trip log moves up the home screen once you have recorded something, and says how much is in it.

Clearer wording on what is free (chart, wind, forecast) and what Pro adds (waves and sea state, every region offline, unlimited routes).

• Home now opens with your next good window to head out — the calm daylight hours in the forecast, with the wind, so you know when to go.
• We can remind you the evening before, if you want it.
