The ads on this app are seriously out of control. Sometimes as many as 3 pop up at the same time and you have to close them out, and this happens literally every 2-3 seconds. If I were able to get past the ads, I could probably give it 5 stars but unfortunately, their advertising is more important to them than their content so that is what I’ll focus my review on.

I love Bored Panda, and now I cannot use the app at all. The ads are overwhelming and will not go away. No matter if I watch them or not, they keep popping up and I cannot read the articles. I wish they would fix this!

I’m not sure why this app exists as you can’t actually read anything on it. It centrally scrolls to the top or completely out of whatever you are reading. There are numerous pop up ads that interfere. I can’t get through a single item and actually complete it without being either booted out or scrolled somewhere else.

What is the point of the app? I opened it after not using it for a while and found a bombardment of ads and odd choppy video news segments and more ads. I could barely get through one article. After a few minutes of this I am going to delete this app. I used to enjoy opening it when I was actually bored and it was a little entertaining. Now it seems like some kind of device to drive you insane. No thanks!

Every time I click on something to read, the ads take over the screen, continuously flip back and forth, in general just cause such frustration that I finally had to delete the app. It’s completely useless and not at all worth the annoying frustration it causes. It’s not entertaining. Just a horrible app more concerned about ads than users. It’s awful

First, I enjoy reading Bored Panda stories.  But it’s not possible on their app.  Ads pop up multiple times that can’t be closed when trying to read an article.

Used to be pretty good, but they ruined it completely. 
You can’t read but a little of each article and you get a white screen and have to go back and start all over. 
It’s all because of the pop up ads. I hope all the companies that pay for ad spots pull their ads from the app because the app is useless now.

First it was the Facebook links crapping out so you had to go to the website externally, then the website glitching from all the ads and constantly losing your place and now the app has become totally unuseable because it’s giving me unstoppable pop-up ad playlists. 4 or 5 back to back that keep reopening everytime I close. Add that on top of the absolute garbage UI and cheap slop content and you have one of the most useless apps and websites ever. You make click bait lists, you should be making it easier and more enjoyable to take in your content because there is no depth to keep people engaged. With how hard it is to even get to number 4 or 5 on a list without the whole thing crashing I don’t know how they are getting any kind of site traction.

This previously fun app has recently become utter garbage. I used to read at least 2-3 BP stories each night before bed. It was a sweet way to unwind. I consciously chose BP over Facebook because watching videos about ‘Puppies Learning How to Do Stairs’ was more relaxing than the heartless mindrot at FB.  Additionally I’d tap in whenever I was waiting in line, or just bored, like the App title.   I even read some of the revenue producing stories endorsing products. And even bought some. There were sometimes annoying ads. And occasionally I had to close the App due to a long ad. 
But now it is literally inaccessible due to the constant ads and pop-ups. 
And they have ads/news from sponsors that look just like BP Posts. I resent being tricked. I lived with it for a short while.  But tonight it forced me to play a stupid game to proceed. I’m deleting and choosing something else. 👎

I’ve been a daily user of bored panda for years, lately more and more ads creeping in to the point full page adds pop up every 2 seconds or everytime you put your finger on the screen to scroll down the page! If I see ONE more BERTAZZONI kitchen add I’m reporting them to flipping trading standards for harassment! Such a shame. Bored panda has now becoming annoying waste of time panda 👎👎👎👎

The ad is now useless which is disappointing as I used to scroll through this when I had time to waste.

Couldn’t scroll 5 seconds without an ad popping up, which is in full screen, you can’t close, and have to suffer through to its end.  Same thing with the articles too.  Kept closing and reopening the app thinking something was wrong.  Nope!  App is cluttered with ads that make reading anything as unenjoyable as possible as to force you into a subscription to avoid such nonsense.  Terrible concept and horrible app.

Absolutely dreadful and frustrating. Every time I open an article to read it crashes after seconds. The website version is no better. This used to be fantastic but there are so many videos embedded into each page that it crashes as it can’t cope.

I used to read this article daily about a mouse village and I could switch my dark mode on with my desktop and tablet through its settings since it was made available. I have read this article to my dog and teddy bear daily since 2019 when it was still light mode. Then they added a dark mode switch on google and I used that. Then the worst happened last year. They paywalled dark mode and used stripe gave no other options for payment. Dark mode should always be free. I find having to pay for dark mode pretty lame. I’m not gonna lie I have sensitive eyes and I have dark mode on practically everything. I find that I’ve been using the site before you had to pay for this was wonderful. Whenever you can release dark mode from its pay wall shackles it would be awesome. You should understand that some people have severe sensitivity to light mode and have a hard time with it. There’s plenty of people like me who have complained about this as well. I’m sure I’m not the only person. You should really consider getting it removed from the paywall. I don’t really appreciate it. You at Bored Panda should already know about people who have sensory disorders. This doesn’t help matters. I really wish you would have thought about that before putting a paywall behind dark mode. I’m personally not happy about it. Until it’s resolved to where everyone can use dark mode without a paywall I will no longer use the site or app. It’s unbearable. I’m typing this on an app that has dark mode on without paying for it. Next time maybe try and think about the people who have this disorder. I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in this either. Please fix in the future. Please and thank you. 🐣🧸

This site finds interesting and amusing items at a far higher frequency than nearly all others. Always worth a look, and sometimes comes up with a real gem. They could do better with pasting up some of the “AITA” type posts, but those are never among the best. With a site like this, what counts is the percentage of winners, and theirs is high.

Wonderful app, I really love it! I’ll spend hours on end on it, but there are two things that NEED to change.

1. The swipe. Oh my god if you have this app and like read things while lying on your side you’ve had this problem. It is awful. There’s a feature to swipe between stories but it’s so incredibly easy to be swiping down and just go to the side a little on accident and then you have to start all over cause it doesn’t save your spot.

2. There’s a bug where when I’m clicking (show <number> more) it doesn’t do anything. It just shows a loading thing and doesn’t show any more. It’s really annoying!

Other than that it’s a great app, and I highly recommend it.

I had trouble loading more posts so I updated and so regret it. Partly because of the video ads :( and now the top two comments no longer show below the post which has always been such a laugh. 

I loved Bored Panda! One of my favorite apps of all time, I remember when it was a website in the earlier days of the net. Please fix these! It’s ruined the experience.

This app is pretty nice. I read lots of entertaining things there. Just 2 things. Please get rid of the side swipe. When you’re reading and accidentally swipe it send you to the beginning and it gets annoying. Also, the app has been crashing lately. I’m not sure why. Anyways lovely app. Thank you!!
