## What is Borning?

There is a hunger that other things don't satisfy.

Man does not live by bread alone (Matt. 4:4), but most days we try. We pick up the phone. We refresh. We start working. The Word stays closed.

Borning is small on purpose. One verse each morning. Five minutes. The Word, set before you, with nothing else competing for your attention.

This isn't entertainment or a wellness ritual. It's the old shape of devotion in a quieter form: read slowly, sit with one verse, let it light the way through the day ahead.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105)

What's inside:

- Verses moving through the gospel, the person of Christ, the Word of God, sanctification, prayer, discipleship, and hope — and continuing on. The reading doesn't end. There's too much Scripture for that.

- Reflections rooted in the historic Reformed tradition: Christ centered, faithful to the text, written from the conviction that Jesus is God in the flesh (John 1:14), that He died for sinners and was raised (1 Cor. 15:3-4), and that His Word is sufficient for everything He calls us to (2 Tim. 3:16-17).

- Cross references in parentheses. Tap any of them to read the full passage without leaving the page.

- A private journal for sitting with what God shows you.

- A widget so today's verse is always one glance away.

- Daily reminders, when you want them.

What you won't find:

We didn't add the things other apps lean on. No streaks designed to make you feel guilty when you miss a day. No gamified rewards. No ads, trackers, or data sold to anyone. No engagement metrics dressed up as spiritual progress. The Word doesn't need gimmicks. It is enough on its own.

Privacy: your reflections are yours. We don't read them. We don't analyze them. We don't sell your data. Account deletion is one tap in Settings, and it means it.

Borning is for the believer who knows the desire to be in the Word is itself from God (Phil. 2:13), and needs a quiet, faithful place to begin again — and again, and again, until the day we see Him face to face.
