Had to have the installer come out w/in two weeks to adjust the system as it sounded like a helicopter on the pad. About a month later had to have them come out because the dual-fuel furnace would not start unless it was in emergency heat. Have to have them come out next week because as the weather warmed the system would not switch over to heat pump/AC, just blew warm air (had to switch the configuration to “No Heat”). I have a decade of Bosch kitchen appliances and have ALWAYS been pleased; this is a disaster. ### 2/5 — Just doesn’t work *2026-01-29, version 4.0.0* In this version the menu bar doesn’t close so can’t see main screens and can’t do anything. Now a few months ago they introduced a new “feature” that causes the side menu on the left to stay open and I can’t close it with the x in the lop left corner. This. App. *2025-12-16, version 3.0.0* I am sitting in my home, two rooms away from my “smart” thermostat, and it will not connect. When connected, it logs me out constantly. Even when it’s seemingly connected, the change in temperature I request does not actually happen. This app is an embarrassment to the Bosch brand and, nine times out of ten, useless. Cheers for forcing me to give you one star just to post this review. 🙄 ### 1/5 — Can’t create profile *2025-12-09, version 3.0.0* Trying to set up the app but I am not getting the phone verification code with many attempts. Waited for an hour for Bosch tier 2 support before hanging up. Might see if I can switch to an Ecobee. ### 1/5 — Constantly changes set-point on its own, no schedule. *2025-12-07, version 3.0.0* Three times in as many months these thermostats (BCC 100)(I have 2) changed the set-point on their own! Once bringing on AC to 50 degrees F and twice bringing on heat to 76 degrees F. Customer support not available on weekends and website in app does not exist. Bad software, bad app. I can’t access the schedule on one of the thermostats and had to do a factory reset. Total junk. Not worth the money and product support is horrible. ### 1/5 — Are you guys still using the rotten “single key” which approach which never did work. *2025-12-05, version 3.0.0* Your thermostat is the most difficult device in my home. You have me at the point where I don’t know my password for Bosch or is it single key. Oh yeh now it took me to Google to log in with google. Wouldn’t let me reset my password because my “email was already used”. How stupid can you get ? Yes I need to reset my password and it is still me with my email address. Rotten app. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE *2025-11-29, version 3.0.0* Was working, but no longer connects due to an issue with their servers. Technical support is ignoring email requests for updates on the issue. ### 1/5 — WiFi *2025-11-21, version 3.0.0* This EasyAir is not easy. The WiFi all of a sudden stopped working. I have put my password in and it still doesn’t work. I removed the Bosch app and still does not work, when I reinstalled the app. ### 1/5 — Needs more frequent updates *2025-11-20, version 3.0.0* The app is more responsive then it was, but the number of error messages related to connected to WiFi is more than any other app I own. Please fix your bugs and more frequent updates. I guess there’s an issue that Bosch has with updates and wifi. They need to fix this asap. It creates a profile but it won’t accept my number. It shows the US number format in red fonts. You’re stuck! ### 1/5 — Wish I could give it zero star *2026-04-20, version 4.1.0* The login screen refused to let me paste in my password (randomly generated and highly secure) and forced me to type it in. THEN I GET A BLANK SCREEN. Hey Bosch, if you can’t hire competent app developers after I paid thousands of dollars for your products, just don’t offer any smart products. You are simply not ready for this century. ### 1/5 — Schedule temps broken *2026-04-04, version 4.1.0* At some point when they upgraded to the new app, schedules are now screwed up. Sometimes all temperatures are available when editing - sometimes a limited list appears. Also, you can only add 2 additional schedules (I would love to have 1 schedule for each season). And you can’t rename schedules. This app just screams that it was written by a computer science drop out. Even an AI generated app would work better. I hope it didn’t cost more than $2000 to write this app, because if it did, they threw their money out the window. ### 1/5 — Poor UI, Buggy *2026-02-04, version 4.0.0* Literally half the time I change the schedule, temperature, or mode it doesn’t actually save. I always have to close the app and reopen to check if it worked. If it didn’t work, then I have to close and reopen again. You have to select your AC unit to make a change. I guess that’s good for businesses or very large homes, but for most people it’s his an extra step. ### 1/5 — App is crâp.. don’t buy Bosch products. *2026-02-03, version 4.0.0* Used the Bosch connect app. Even though it kept losing the IP address. Then it quit. Bosch say use the Bosch easy air app. Well it doesn’t work either. Can’t even register an account. Can’t log in to my account setup for the old app. I swear to gad I’ll never buy a Bosch product again. ### 1/5 — Bosch apps don’t work *2026-01-30, version 4.0.0* Came here after the Bosch Connected control App stopped working, it’s stuck on the login screen saying it’s down for system maintenance… for weeks now… I’m trying to create an account on this app, it’s verified my phone number but gives me an error “invalid body request” so I can’t finish creating a profile. Apparently none of your apps work. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Love Bosch *2025-04-30, version 2.5.1* Just had my new Bosch Heat Pump installed. My model is "Connected" and I love it. The app is very simplistic but it gets the job done. I can check the temperature and make adjustments anywhere in the world. It's so the way to go. The app tells you the weather and the 5 day forecast. Based on that you can schedule temperature settings changes. You can name your thermostat whatever you want. It tells you the status, cooling or heating. The set point and the current temperature. Tells humidity level, current temperature and set point. As well as what stage the fan is working. Also it tells usage data for each day. All in all I love having this much control. It will help me save money and avoid being uncomfortable in bad weather. The notifications are super helpful and the detailed live points list is great! ### 5/5 — Works for me! *2024-09-12* Delayed installing because of bad reviews but then had to since old app disconnected from device and I was told I had to use new one. I have 2 thermostats (upstairs and downstairs on 2 zone system). Installation went smoothly and setting up schedules was simpler than old one. Been a week with no problems so fingers crossed going forward. However, I would get this a five or six star review if it weren’t for the fact that I am constantly signed out of the app. This requires me to re-enter my username and password every time I open the app. Very user unfriendly this. I did call customer support and deleted the app and reinstalled it, but same old issues.. I’m running iOS in the latest version on the latest iPhone. Anyone else experiencing this extremely frustrating problem. ### 4/5 — Works pretty well *2024-10-19* Like others, I was forced to “upgrade” from the older home connect app. As others have mentioned there is a 5 second delay to show the current temperature which is annoying. Other than that seems to work fine. I also like that it shows humidity. This used to work with default 30 min on, 30 off. ### 3/5 — Expected better. *2026-01-20, version 4.0.0* Considering how good your products are, I expected the app experience to be much better. Unfortunately, the app is unreliable and frustrating to use. There is no clear confirmation or indicator that the temperature I select has actually been accepted by the device. On multiple occasions, I’ve set a temperature only to discover hours later—after coming home from work or waking up—that it never saved correctly. Additionally, the sidebar frequently opens automatically when launching the app and becomes stuck. Tapping the “X” does nothing, preventing me from adjusting the temperature at all. The only workaround is force-closing the app and restarting it, which happens far too often. For a product that otherwise works well, the app seriously needs improvement. It works fine with the BCC100 but lacks control over most of the configuration options available directly on the thermostat.
