I get locking away big expensive features (I guess), but not being able to NAME A MEASUREMENT is just wrong. It’s such a simple and important feature, really shady move. ### 2/5 — Subscription?? *2025-12-14, version 1.15.2* Why can’t I pay just once to unlock it like Leica? ### 2/5 — Bosch MeasureOn *2025-11-28, version 1.15.2* Previous app versions allowed for basic functions like exporting to PDF’s without having to upgrade to a pro account. Seems like everyone wants to nickel and dime us for basic functions. When purchasing $150 laser measurer (GLM165-27CG), you would think a fully functional app would come with it. The app for my previous laser (GLM50C x3398) had pdf export as a basic function. The user interface was also better in previous versions. I think the export to dwg might be a decent tool but @ $13 a month, I’ll pass! ### 2/5 — Decent app they do not help with customer service *2025-10-19* I bought this app almost a year ago for my flooring business I have been trying to work with the customer service for months and months. It will not allow me to access the information from multiple devices even if I login with the same login information. This is not worked for our business. Bosch are penny pinching and want 10$ a month just for the device to push its measurements to the app. Actually just really slimy gross business practice. Returning my laser and using literally anything else. What a joke. You have to subscribe to your tools now. Dog water company. Missing features: 1. Overall room dimensions for rooms that don’t have a continuous straight wall for length and width. 2. Sporadically the app decides to delete my photos with measurements. I pay for the cloud service that you would think would help with these issues but no! I have measured several jobs that are a 4 hour drive from my place of business, just for all the photos and measurements to be deleted when it comes time to use them. I now have to screenshot everytime I take a photo and measure because I know more often then not that it will get deleted. Used it 3 yrs ago and all the features were free. Now even Bluetooth tool->app entry I need to wait a few seconds for the “pro ad” timer countdown! Bosch, this is not like a free game you released and can change paid features - but packaged tool where these features are advertised on the box/video instructions from 3 yrs ago where ppl bought it based on the claims! Also this app randomly has its data deleted/corrupted. Hours of work lost!!!!! *2025-04-17, version 1.13.0* The app has serious problems with saving measurements, even though it appears to be saved. You back out when you go back in all of your measurements are gone! I can’t even find an option to save. Do not trust!!!! Whole projects disappear! You’re better off using a pen and paper. ### 1/5 — Does not allow actual flooring plan drawings. *2025-01-29, version 1.12.1* Downloaded, paid for pro, it will not work a cross my tablets with the same account. Paid for a year in advance. Also we cannot measure out the entire floor plan would love to add pictures to give an example. But an entire wall, set of stairs and closet cannot be drawn in because they are not connected to the other walls. Poor design and not worth the 6-700 investment I’ve made to switch over. ### 1/5 — Bluetoosh problem *2025-01-27, version 1.12.1* My problem is with the Bluetooth connection between the device and the mobile phone, which sometimes disconnects every few seconds even though it is next to the phone. What is this bug and problem? ### 1/5 — Misleading features *2025-01-25* When I bought this device it advertised many features but didn’t clearly indicate that they were only accessible with a $15/month subscription. I paid a hefty price for the features I wanted and now I discover I need to steadily pay more money indefinitely just to access them. This is such a bait and switch. I’m just a casual hobbyist and could’ve bought a much cheaper device that does the same things this does but without the subscription paywall. I basically paid Bosch $100 premium for my item so they could try to sell me a monthly plan. What a joke. Never again, Bosch. Your MeasureOn Team ### 1/5 — Money grab *2025-01-12, version 1.12.0* This company lost my business for all their tools, even a simple screen capture has becomes a pain because they want people to sign up for the “pro” services. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — 15$ a month to name measurements! *2026-05-10* I just spent up to a couple hundred dollars on this tool and now these jokers want me to spend $15 a month on their stupid app so that I can name my measurements?!? I can’t even assign a name to a stored measurement in an app without paying $180 per year? Bosch is a joke, this app is useless, my camera or notes app is 10 times more useful for this specific feature set. Bosch has run this app and it’s reputation into the ground with Measureon. ### 1/5 — Subscription required for Labels *2026-01-21* Paid $250 for a laser but can’t even label my measurements without paying more money Update: Dev claims they only charge for the software to export data (because it’s so much better to charge a subscription just to use the hardware that I own with software that I license) but I still get popups begging for money every time I try basic features. Just double checked and now have a screenshot showing the rename button locked behind a pro logo. Would upload but App Store doesn’t do photos. Bosch discontinued Gen1 so they could could soak you for $15/ mo for doing the same thing as Gen 1. Save you money ### 1/5 — They block screenshots *2025-11-20, version 1.15.2* To be the ultimate professional product blocks a screenshot. I just needed to add a note on a measurement I took. Not allowed. You’ve to pay us 🤦‍♂️ or upgrade to Pro monthly to be allowed to take screenshots. How pathetic. ### 1/5 — Like being held hostage? I draw floor plans for foundation repair every day. Between the AR function and the Bluetooth connectivity to the laser, this combo increases my productivity by about 1000%! With one reservation though *2023-05-26, version 1.7.3* If you take the time to learn the app this is an awesome tool. The measurements transfer over Bluetooth from the laser to the drawing saves a lot of time. I also like the feature to take a picture and then mark it up with measurements. I find the tool (laser) and app to be a great combo. Again give yourself some time to learn and play with the app and I think you will love it. I like the direction Bosch is going with improving and supporting the app. I am a little shocked by the price tag, 9.99 or 14.99 per month. I would prefer an annual option at a better price. It seems high to me. The feature I would recommend for the paid version is to make my company logo larger and let me put in my contact info with it, phone & website and so on. It is a professional look, but at the monthly price it’s a lot for a small contractor who may not use it on a super regular basis. I give it 5 stars because it really is a good product and from what I see, Bosch is trying grow this and is willing to continue improvements. I just hope they don’t price themselves out of the market. ### 5/5 — Bosh GlM 50C professional *2022-07-23, version 1.4.0* I don’t normally write reviews, but in this case I will. There is in my opinion a lot of “junk” out there but once in awhile a product comes along that I think deserves a high five. I am not a professional,but this Bosh Professional GLM 50c, (which has been updated) is one of the best measuring tools I have used.It is handy that can be attached with it’s included case to your belt and is only the size of a small tv remote. At first I was very sceptical as I had a cheaper,none Bosh unit a few years back, which I used to hold down my paperwork,useless!! My best advise is to look it up and see the features, it is fantastic! It holds up to 29 measurements so no need for paper, and is accurate to a 32 of an inch. For the first 8 or 10 measurements I did, I double checked it with a conventional measuring tape, and now that I trust it completely no more tape. You can set it to measure from the front, back or even the middle of the unit. Which is handy if measuring inside a window frame or wall to wall This particular model measures up to 165’ but you will still need a tape(unless the newer models are different) for anything under 5”. There are MANY extremely handy features on this you should check out, and for, at the time under $100,I highly recommend this for professional or a none professional like myself. It also takes only 2 AAA batteries which I have replaced once in 6 months of average use. I know, I sound like I either work for the company or am getting paid, I assure you I am just a hard working labourer, which is extremely tired of the JUNK out there and believe that the very rare items that come along are worth the money and should get a high 5 if they deserve it Regards… Murray ### 5/5 — Complete tool *2022-07-05, version 1.3.2* This an amazing tape measure tool. You can combine your layouts with dimensions on the photos. Text or email the information to various individuals all at once. It great reference when I create AutoCad drawings. And like to be able to draw interior walls. Also wall view only support rectangular shape walls. For example for pitched roof buildings the wall at gable ends are not rectangular shape. **Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your review! The general idea of MeasureOn is that you can create an unlimited number of rooms, photos and notes on one workspace. However, currently you can only sketch one room at a time, sketching entire floor plans with different adjoined rooms is not possible (yet). The current single room layout should avoid errors when transferring measurements with the laser rangefinder, so for now we recommend to create a workspace on which you can put room sketches and align them separately on the same workspace (via drag & drop) to indicate an entire floor.
