Ads will take too long to load and then the actual news video is lost. Sometimes the ads cause the news article that is being pushed to my phone to reload constantly and I have to force quit the app. Even if I mute the add and read the bottom it jumps to the top to load the ad that is failing. It’s a bummer. I’d pay to make the ads disappear so I could actually watch the news on the go. TLDR: The ads literally ruin the reason to have this app. Well it’s been sometime since I wrote this review of the app and nothing has changed. Got a notification about a storm coming in that I wanted to hear about, the ads play and then stop, times out, I then quit the app. I’ve deleted in reinstalled the app a few times but it’s the same issue. The ads just keep ruining the experience. Watching this on tv is way better than using the app which is unfortunate if you don’t have time. No news on the go *sadface. Channel 5 repeats itself with yesterday’s news you are simultaneously broadcasting today’s news which they will broadcast tomorrow for the most part . While other news casts report “police activity on such and such a street …”as “breaking news just coming in” your station, at the same time, delivering a story on the same subject with all the details even the toughest critical audience could ever ask for. Your station always get the “scoop” on local stories before any other station. While other stations present vague accounts of yesterday‘s news and “feel good” stories as filler you simultaneously are presenting up-to-date and detailed news of today events. Keep excellent reporting of current daily events. One constructive suggestion is to get rid of the term “breaking news“. It is too trite and is used excessively by all news broadcasters.Yet more commonly “breaking news“ should be titled “yesterday‘s news“ by other stations.
